Recently visit Emporio to try their Fresh Flavours menu and for $15, it comes with a drink, main and free 4 hours parking. Had the steak with chips and salad for main and the steak was cooked well and the chips and salad was quite good. They do get quite busy on friday nights and the weekends. Overall for a $20 deal, it is quite a bargain. Hopefully they keep it as an ongoing menu.
Visited emporio pizza and pasta for a quick lunch before heading into the city. I saw a $15 deal and thought why not!
I got a eye fillet steak cooked rare with herbed potato mash, asparagus and mushroom sauce. For the price you pay, it was decent and well cooked. It is a small portion so really only suitable for lunch or a very light dinner. It also came with a drink of either wine, beer or soft drink. Overall, very happy.
Had the fish of the day, the steak and mushroom Arancini. The mushroom arancini was beautiful and crispy. The fish of the day was salmon and had a very lovely crispy skin. I did not really like the balls beneath the fish but everything else was good.
Been coming here for years, reasonable prices , great food and staff!
Came here for the $15 hearty meal, that's really a good deal with $15 you get a main, a drink and 4 hours multilevel parking! And you can even use it on weekends!!
I ordered the Tasmanian Salmon and Friend ordered the ox cheek. Both were lovely but I LOVED the ox cheek, it was so tender and full of flavour! We added a side of chips and had the strawberry shortcake for dessert + a scoop of strawberry sorbet. Lovely dinner! Service was really friendly and efficient!
Had the Harvest Table offer which came with a main dish, a drink plus four hours free parking all for $20.Both dishes were delicious and well presented. Service wise it was OK. The place was quite busy therefore took a while to serve our food.
3.5
Italian eatery at Crown Plaza.
The place is actually pretty nice and spacious, though there were no other seats at the time, so we were seated in a high bar, in front of the pasta cooking section but it was quite nice still.
It was a bit hard to flag someone at times, but the woman who served us was quick to notice most of the time and she was friendly and professional. There was a line for the bill though.
The T-Bone steak was quite good. I requested for medium and it was quite that, tad bit rarer. The meat was quite tender, size was quite good and had some flavor, but some parts were bit tough. The mushroom sauce and mashed potato were both enjoyable, the peas were decent, lacked flavor.
The package came with a choice of drink, so I had white wine.
Overall, a pretty good deal for $20. Could improve but a good eating option in crown.

Emporio is located on the ground floor of the Crown building, adjacent to Kitchen Workshop. Dining at this restaurant if you have a Crown Rewards card will automatically grant you free parking in the Crown complex, so it may be worthwhile to come here.
We were shown to our table by a senior staff member who seemed like she was in pain to be there. Her face carried a consistent frown and she looked like she hated her job. No smiles, no warmth. Just a service because it is her job. Not a great start.
I opted for the Seafood Spaghetti while my partner went for the rib-eye steak. We also decided to have a lamb pizza to share between us. Everything on the menu sounded great. The atmosphere held a gentle air of sophistication.
We were asked if we wanted the food to come out all at once. I accepted that offer, which they promptly delivered. While the food was all laid out on the table, I wanted a photo to commemorate the evening... this proved harder than I thought. The first staff member that I asked to take a photo for us was the grumpy lady from the start (she was the only staff available at the time) - true to her name, she took a disgruntled grumpy photo of us and then left. It was not a very good photo. I had to wait a while before I could get the attention of another staff member. He was an older fellow and really struggled with the functionality of a smartphone camera. I understand that it is not part of his job to know how to work a phone camera but I'm thankful that at least he tried.
My partner's steak was nothing special. The beans that scattered the plate were also average at best. The saving grace of the dish was the mushroom sauce. It was smooth and hit all the right spots. Lucky for that. For $15, you do receive what you pay for.
My seafood spaghetti had fantastic ingredients. It contained a splendid array of seafood including well cooked and good sized scallops, prawns, calamari and mussels. I loved the tenderness and flavour of every piece. The spaghetti infused with herbs and seafood really came together for a superb dish. Unfortunately, I found the sauce too watery. This was apparent the moment the waiter set the dish down on the table - the sauce just swirled around like a puddle. I feel like it was the sole factor that upset the texture of an otherwise amazing dish.
The pizza was also decidedly average at best. For that price point, you kind of expect something a bit more spectacular. I applaud the fresh ingredients used but I found that the sum of its flavours to be lacklustre. The bread was nice but nothing memorable. I have paid the same price for much nicer pizzas elsewhere.
Overall I did enjoy my experience at Emporio but am probably not keen on returning. I cannot justify its premium price point that does not fully deliver premium goods nor service. If you have earned vouchers from Crown, it is admissable - however, I would definitely not pay full price for what I received.
You probably read this review and are wondering why I gave this place a 4 - it is because I honestly and wholly enjoyed the hearty seafood pasta.
A friend and I headed to Crown for lunch! A few of their restaurants were offering a $15 set menu, and one of those places was Emporio Pizza and Pasta. This restaurant was located in the actual casino, and we ended up with a delicious Italian-inspired mealtime. Im not sure how long the offer is going for but $15 for a main and a drink (and some parking even too) is too good of a deal to pass up. Not sure the other diners were here for the deal, but the proximity to the gaming table is a plus as well. The options in November (when we dined) have changed since then, but we had ordered the beef and the chicken.
The ambience was good. Service was a little more than average.
The food was good and good for the pocket for the quality of food and ambience we got there.
