A nice little bar down a set of stairs. The service was friendly and cheerful.
I had a pre dinner drink, this time is was a Furphy beer. This place was buzzing with an after work vibe and the serve some bar food which looked alright too.

Atmosphere is everything. My partner and I love coming here after having dinner at Korean barbecue a few doors down. The ambience is perfect for a quiet, chilled out drink or two. Plus their choice in music is always on point.
Not even sure how we came across this place, but I'm glad we did! Lovely little downstairs dining area and the small humble menu made for an amazing dinner, will definitely be back!

Tucked away off the quieter end of Little Bourke Street and a stone’s throw away from Southern Cross Station, Bar Humbug is one of Melbourne’s hidden late night haunts for groups looking to get just that little bit tipsy. We headed here for a girl’s night out, a table-full of cocktails and wine, and the promise of good, hearty comfort food.
Friendly staff, great service, good value. We popped in here for a quick meal prior to a concert at Etihad for the Foo Fighters. We were in a rush and were eating early so we could get to the concert before the crowds, so wanted to have a bite about 45 minutes before the usual 6pm time that most kitchens open for dinner. We had checked with them before arriving, but they misunderstood the fact that we wanted to eat right away. So the manager came and apologised, and made special arrangements with the kitchen to get started on our meal right away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and it's such a nice little cosy venue, it felt like having a meal at home. They were also thoughtful enough to play Foo Fighters non-stop while we were dining. Definitely would come back to this place for a nice casual laid back meal.
Bar Humbug is a great alternative when up the Paris end of King St. It has great atmosphere and offers a range of bar food. However, be warned this place gets busy and quite noisy. So if you're looking for somewhere for a quiet chat - go elsewhere.

Step into a cosy friendly bar that makes you feel like you're stepping into the heart of London with a twist of Aussie mateship and friendly hospitality. Great for catching up with friends or that business meeting to show off one of Melbourne's gems or like I did hire the venue out for a function which the staff made a breeze especially being flexible with their menu. We'll done guys!
Small frontage, but the bar opens up on the inside. Cosy place to have a beer and a feed. The “Humburger” was delicious! And the guys working there are very friendly. Definitely will go again the next time I’m in Melbourne!
Came in for 1 drink with my partner and stayed for 5 & food! There were 2 young blokes serving on the bar and they were fantastic! Friendly, smiling and fast on their service. They had a happy hour on when we were there so glass of house wine $5 and CC & Dry was under $10.
We ordered the chicken strips (which taste amazing) and the bowl of fries which is surprisingly large.
Nice cozy little vibe in the venue perfect winter stop but would like to check it out in summer as well.
To the owner, give those 2 young blokes a pat on the back because they were very customer centric and did their job extremely well!

Good little quiet hole in the wall, with good cocktails and drinks. Well worth headed to if you don't like crowds and too many people. Great friendly bar staff and it's very clean!
Great Bar with fantastic atmosphere. Good selection of beers and wines, with a very cool spirit selection. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. This combined with good value bar food makes this a great place for a few quiet drinks, or to hold a function. Highly recommended.
Really great service here. Good menu, short and with variety. Food comes out quick which is good for a work lunch. They also split bill.

Bartender on Friday is always cheerful and knows how to pout a great bevo. happy hour on Friday is the perfect wind-down after work
The place isn't massive and can fill up quickly, especially during peak hours, but worthwhile popping in for a drink
