The pizza here has soul. We bought four altogether, all of which were top notch. The chorizo though, almost had me in tears. 'Twas indeed a religious experience. Thank you.
Some of the best pizza in Melbourne by far. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because how slow it was when I was there because it is in high demand. That is a sign of a good restaurant though. I only ordered 1 pizza and it took them just over an hour to get it out to us. The pizza quality is amazing though.
How amazing does this pizza look?
I wouldn't turn down pizza any night of the week and if it looks like this, would anyone!
We got two gluten free and two regular pizzas and this gluten free potato pizza was my favourite! That's the mushroom pizza creeping into the corner of this pic š“

I tried a delicious mushroom pizza from Pizza Religon! Removed the cheese to make it vegan ;) I was so impressed with the generous servings of mushrooms on top. The flavours were on point. Next time I might ask for a thicker crust as I like my crust THICK AF. Keen to go back and try more vegan options!
This has been a local pizza joint of ours for a few years, Iāve gone a few times and enjoyed the pizza. The vibe is great and they now have a joining wine bar where you can enjoy their pizza also!
I enjoyed the cappricoza and my friend got a vegan mushroom! They tasted delicious, and we both devoured ours while drinking lots of wine!
Delicious thin style pizza with generous toppings. It is good to go in a group so you can share a few pizzas. We went in a group of 4 and had 3 pizzas with some appetisers and it was more than enough food. Service is very friendly too.
Visited here the other night and loved it! Had the meatball, pepperoni, capricciosa and pork pizzas! The meatball and pepperoni ones were AMAZING! Complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch! Hokey pokey ice cream and banana walnut pizzette were a lovely way to finish. Wouldāve loved a coffee with dessert but they donāt have a coffee machine :(
Will definitely be back š
Even though itās located on the quiet side of Hawthorn this establishment attracts a decent number of people to its delicious pizzas and friendly service.
We had the lamb ribs which were decent (I enjoyed the chilli jam), beef brisket pizza and chilli chicken pizza. Iām generally not a massive fan of chicken on pizza but this was delicious!
We had the flourless pudding for dessert and my god it was amazing!
Small but very good selection of wines and cocktails for only $10 š
I ate here on a Sunday night with my family a few weeks ago. We have a diverse set of tastes and preferences across the board and it is often difficult to find a dinner venue which will satisfy all of them. Well, pizza religion did just that! My husband, who is particularly fussy when it comes to italian food (he is 4th generation italian), said it was probably the best pizza in Melbourne. The sheer array of pizzas offered is incredible, my favourites are the prawn, mushroom and lamb. Service is friendly and prompt and the drinks menu is diverse enough. Cosy atmosphere too! Prices are a bit higher than your standard pizza venue, but that's because the toppings are all lovingly cooked right there in the kitchen (think pork belly, pulled beef and lamb), so it is more than just pizza. We love the thin crust that many people seem to have a problem with (i hate bready pizza) but I think this is makes it easier to eat the whole thing! Highly recommend :)
This is hands down the best pizza in Melbourne. The only place that challenges it might be Pizza Meine Liebe in Northcote (also epic). What sets Pizza Religion apart is the creative, well-considered toppings and the quality of its ingredients. Straying from the conventionary, the biggest problem youāll have when you come here is facing the difficult trade-off of what to choose. Pizza Religion, please open some venues on the North-East side!
