Dined for an early dinner before seeing a show at The Palms. We shared the Moreton bay bugs for entree, I had the salmon for main & hubby had the merrywell burger & we shared the choc fondant for dessert. All the food was tasty. In the entertainment book so got a good discount off the total bill. We sat in the main dining room which was freezing temperature as the a/c was on, waiter advised they have no control to adjust the temperature so this made our dining experience less enjoyable.
Wanted to give a 3.5 but kind of felt bit undeserved

the interior looks quite casual but once sat down its quite ok is what I thought
I had the wagyu sliders for entree $21 and the Scotch for $34
My steak was cooked very well and was enjoyable, the sliders werent too bad, but couldnt really see the "wagyuness" in it
Others enjoyed their food
Service/watiress overall was good, drinks replenished often, overall a great evening
Was a bit soured at the end when a waiter came around to our table and informed us that the kitchen was closed or either closing soon (we had not called for service) and said something along the lines of "would you like me to bring the bill?"
Absolutely nailed the flavours! Had the falafel, barramundi tacos and the char grilled prawn. YUM YUM YUM, will definitely be back for another dinner.. highly recommend this venue. Service was 5/5, thankyou for such a good night.
Amazing food and great vibes! My friend and I asked for the chicken burger to be customised to become salads, and the chef personally approached our table to confirm our order. Would have given them 5 stars, but the lady who served us was rude and need to learn better customer service skills. Other than that, everything else is fantastic!
A tad pricey but thats to be expected at Crown, the food was pretty good, i had the sword fish and couldnt fault it, nice view, over all a good experience.

I cannot express in words how satisfied I felt walking out of Merrywell, but here it goes!
What I love how this place is that you can come by for casual drinks on a night out, and might I say that the have a rather impressive cocktail menu, or, you can even dine in for a special occasion.
The took my partner here for dinner for his birthday. We ordered several entrees as we wanted to try a bit of everything, and in all honesty, the Asian fusion dishes sounded a lot more enticing!
Highlight of my dining experience... It’s a hard one because I loved pretty much all of it 😂
Let’s start with the kimchi bolognese. I love that chef used slow cooked beef and not mince, and the spice from the kimchi gave it a nice kick. The name is bizarre but is a rather good concoction.
Second. The larb rice paper roll. What a deliciously fresh dish perfect for summer. Being so used to having the regular Vietnamese ingredients that’s usually served in these rolls, it was a very nice to taste the Thai flavours in these rice paper rolls. The sticky rice, chicken and mint leaves with shredded coconut complimented so well with the sweet chilli sauce.
Lastly! The mini steak sandwiches! The beef was cooked to perfection and remained tender in the buttered, toasted bread. Something so simple yet soooo delicious when all cooked just right ☺️
If I could recommend a drink, it’d be the chilli lychee cocktail. It was sweet and hot, definitely a unique concoction that’s a must!
Staff were lovely and attentive throughout. Would love to come here again that I actually have to stop myself. Would recommend this lovely, versatile place to anyone.
Had lunch here today. Got the KISS burger with bacon, the Bird in the Hand burger and shared the onion rings. Both burgers were Delicious and the onion rings were prefect and a big serving so definitely enough for 2 ppl. It was busy but didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Will definitely return.
A bit late, but here we go. I visited Merrywell for Christmas with my family. My Father works for crown so we managed to snag a gorgeous huge table outside with a great view. I had prawn cocktail starter which was lovely, fresh juicy prawn - and plenty of them! I even left some, which is unheard of. Turkey main, turkey was a loaf, and not carved - this was the downfall for the whole meal, it tasted a bit rubbery. Nonetheless the gravy, veg and rosaties were lovely. Mixed desert, amazing - cannot fault. We’ll be back!

I’ve been keen to try Merrywell out after its revamp because I heard about the kimchi bolognese. It was hard to decide what else to order because everything was tempting but I ended up choosing the tuna tartare (with tequila guac). The Korean spicy beef bolognese was really flavourful and just a little spicy. I was pleasantly surprised to find rice cakes at the bottom as I’m pretty sure the menu didn’t say rice cakes. The tuna tartare was delicious - the tuna was fresh and the dish was also flavourful, but in a lighter, refreshing way. The two dishes turned out to be enough for us despite our initial worries of small serving sizes.
The service was really great, although a little bit sneaky in asking if we wanted still or sparkling water (I asked for tap water). We were checked upon a few times during our meal whether we were enjoying our food and whether we wanted drinks, which was nice.
The ambience of the place is really nice. The lighting was dim but not so dim we couldn’t see our food (which is disappointingly common in bars or fine dining restaurants). During our meal the Crown fires went off and we were perfectly positioned to enjoy them, and could even feel the warmth of the nearest fire inside.
I came here for a work function after watching a movie and the food here was great. Loved the tuna takaki, prawns and even the broccolini. The only thing that could have been better is that the chips could have been fried more as it wasnt that crunchy. They came out a bit soft. The service was lovely and it wasnt as busy. Great views out the window and lovely outdoor balcony area.

the sliders were very nice and so was the filly cheese steak - but the star of the meal was definitely the chilly cheesy mac bites!!
also wanted to give a shout out to the young lady who is a trainee bartender who made my passion fruit mojito - you did an amazing job :) so yum!!! wish i took a pic!

A very known place to enjoy variety burgers. We thoroughly enjoyed Fried chicken burger with french fries and Pepsi. There was also a vegetarian option with onion chips . A wait here is very usual, as people tend to spend more time there.
Con: with a bar stool it is difficult for kids to stay on for longer time and the music could have been a little toned down.
A good experience though. Shall drop in more times.
Pretty good burgers. Classy bar doesn't quite match with the Americana Burger vibe, but doesn't detract. Aussie Deluxe burger was chunky and filling, pineapple was a little bland but everything else great - lots of bacon. Soft drinks are poured from the bar, and chips were standard thin cut but nice. Pricing decent for crown
Good service and ok food.
I was especially impressed with the waitress, who assisted me in ordering my meal. I have had a bariatric procedure, therefore am only able to eat small amounts; the waitress was able to offer viable suggestions and was very pleasant about it.
Had a few sliders and a beef burger to start, with some fries. The burgers I had were basic, but done really well, they haven’t tried to be something they’re not, or go over the top. Juicy, full of flavour and the textures are all there with the ingredients and the bun. Definitely be here again next time to try some other burgers on the menu.
This restaurant was crowned best burgers in Melb for so long in the past. This makes it a great place to start for burgers. Their menu has evolved a little but still there with the quality and taste.
Guy on the door was very friendly even though they were down to takeaway only, went out of his way to pour us beers while we waited.
Philly Cheesesteaks were amazing, as were the onion rings and mac n cheese bites.
