Rediscovered Doughnut Time again today after quite some absence. Today it was as if they had created a doughnut flavour perfect for me, that being the apple crumbly “Get Ready to Crumble”. This vegan friendly cinnamon apple filled doughnut had caramel glaze and was topped with a pecan crumb. An absolute highlight. There were several other familiar flavours from our last visit and reimagining. Prices down ever so slightly too.

How crazy are the prices at Doughnut Time...$6.70 for a single dose of deep fried deliciousness... and a queue to boot. Despite all this I get off the train at Flinders instead of Southern Cross where I needed to be, joined the queue and paid my money. I generally don't over complicate my doughnuts and the slim shady deliciously simple with vanilla icing and m&m's. The icing on all are so thick. Today however I was needing a chocolate hit so opted for the Mars Bar, Flake scattering in a sea of chocolate icing. Yum.
No doubt incredibly bad for you but I was going to the footy and would probably have had hot chips and paid the same price for those so in my mind I have argued that this was the healthy option!
The donuts are quite sweet, light and not too dense. The Hemsworth one was delicious. I liked how they had a good selection of Christmas donuts in December and they cater to vegans too. Overall, they're not the best donuts I've ever had but still great none the less.
Not a whole lot of range, but what they did have looked incredible. I tried the 'Liam Hemsworthy' which was really good, especially for a vegan doughnut. Usually vegan doughnuts are quite dense and heavy, but this one was really nice and fluffy. Generous serving, great taste.
Went in mid afternoon, selection was still sparse but plentiful. Great offerings, however was told that it would have been better fresher. extremely sweet.
Quick service and friendly staff! I got the Veruca Salt caramel doughnut. Loved the fluffiness of the doughnut and the salted caramel filling was not overwhelmingly sweet, which is a good sign. They also offer vegan options which is alwayd a plus!
😱Lizzie’s first impression: I’m so glad this place never left despite them closing a few other stores. It’s literally one of the best donuts I’ve had.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I love how many different options there are. They always have new flavours and I love the fluffiness and the consistency of the donuts. It’s not too sweet so that the topping overpowers the donut - it’s just a right amount! Love them so much. Tried the peanut butter one and the nutella one and it was both so delicious.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: I know it can be a little too much in terms of sugar but it’s worth every bit of it.

Couple days ago While I was in meblourne, I went to doughnut time after hearing some good review from friends and social media. All I can say it was so not dissapointing. I bought 4, but I sure do plan to get some more anytime soon.
😁😜🍩 Today I swung past @doughnut_time with the intention of buying a couple of the delicious flavours I saw available & to take some for the rest of the family to enjoy! This particular flavour is called "ZERO CHILL" which was sweet in all the right ways! Butterscotch Glaze topped w. Hershey's Kisses & Gluten Free Milk Chocolate Crumb
Heading back to one of my fav doughnut places after their reopening full of excitement I was highly underwhelmed. The doughnuts may be the same as the originals. However, the flavors aren't nearly as good as before with the dough tasting flavorless. Possibly due to a more healthier take than before. I'll definitely try again another time though.

Let's hope it's only first few weeks and can regain that flavor from before because this sweetooth loves his doughnuts.
I had the Liam Hemsworthy and I liked the Red Velvet doughnut it was something a bit different. A friend bought the netflix n chill one and we shared that we both enjoyed it.

Though I more of a spice and savoury person, I must admit that I do need my sugar rush once in a while. My colleagues took me to {Doughnut Time} for a post lunch Dessert fix, and it's quiet obvious that these guys serve the best doughnuts in CBD. The huge queues and people leaving the place with boxes of doughnut goodness, proves that. The flavours were interesting to start with, with even more interesting toppings like cookie dough, lego (I trust, they are edible). But what was more interesting was their choice of names for the big bad doughnuts. Meet The Mint Eastwood or would you care for a Vegan Fox.
And I chose a date with Vegan Fox, which was a massive Chocolate glaze doughnut (which was vegan) topped with generous servings of freeze-dried strawberries with crushed pistachios scattered. The portion size was huge and was too much for one serving, unless you are greedy like me. I still recommend sharing it.
Quick Summary - A wonderfully cooked doughnut with melt-in-your-mouth toppings is a joy to enjoy with your loved one(s).
{Doughnut Time}, its going to take quiet a few visits to try out all the items on your menu, but I am not complaining, you are going to see me more in your long queue of customers.
