The son (Ryan) is annoying
he kept on dancing around the restaurant singing let it go.
Only 5% discount and the yum cha smells like dogs
it was alright and i would recommend it
just tell the kid to stop singing
very good food and good service but the kid is annoying
Went there today just to check it out. Not crowded around 12 noon, Saturday (more people arriving later). The place looks great inside, the fountain and all...Ordered two San Choi Bao's, spring rolls, fried whitebait (that's my favorite!), several types of dumplings (xiaolongbao, drunken prawn etc), chicken feet (my wife's favorite), BBQ pork buns.
What can I say? That was the best xiaolongbao I ever had (and we have been to quite a few Chinese restaurants - including some in China!) - particularly the taste of the juice and meat inside! The rest of the food was good too - flavours, presentation etc. The only thing we didn't rate high was the tea...Oh well, you can't win everything! LOL )))
Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Food arrived reasonably quick.
Overall - recommended.
went here with my man for valentines day. had rice and pork waffles for entree which was pretty good, the sauce on the pork smelt awful but tasted amazing. for mains we had prawns and sweet and sour pork. we wouldve thought for a fine dining asain restaurant the sweet and sour pork wouldnt come out like a normal deep fried dish you would get at a takeaway but was still yum. the moscato they had was stunning!!! waitress was pretty rushed and not in the best mood but thats understandable considering the restaurant was packed!!
Finally tried this place out after driving past it all the time it’s actually pretty good the food is all well priced and service is also good food came out quickly and was pretty good will definitely be going back next time I have a craving for Chinese
Living in this area, Potsticker was a good surprise. However their service is a bit up and down. We were served a bit rudely by one of the waitress on our second visit though the first visit was extremely pleasant. The food is always tasty.
Plusses slightly more than the minuses - a bit of a "Hit n Miss" this place. The venue itself has had a chequered history over the years - many other restaurant ventures offering different cuisines have tried their hands here and failed - badly. There were previously South African, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai unsuccessful ventures.
I have been here several times before under its different guises over the years, and now, as Potsticker, this is my 3rd visit, and seemingly it has had 3 ownership / management changes those 3 times!
Sadly for a place that is nicely decorated, with nice settings and a good ambience, it lacks "soul", not helped by a less than "warm-welcoming" waitstaff! Some seem timid, but they are mostly unsmiling!
2 of the 3 mains we had were excellent, but the 3rd one left a lot to be desired. The entrée of Duck and Chicken San Choi Bau were of average fare. The Truffle Scallops were exquisite, and the lightly battered Murray Cod fillets in Sweet n Sour sauce was scrumptious.
However. the Lobster Tail in XO sauce was barely edible! It was tough, chewy, bland (yes! lobster tail bland!). To me, is appears to be a hastily defrosted precooked lobster tail, stir-fried in the XO sauce! We left 1/4 of the dish untouched. I mentioned this to one of the cold unsmiling waitress (dressed in all-black) as she cleared the table of the unfinished meal and the spat-out inedible chewy bits - who nonchalantly said she will let the chef know ... but I doubt she ever did!
Bill came up to $215 (pre Entertainment Card discount - yes, this place is pricy for what it serves) for our Sunday lunch - with no apology for the shocking lobster dish, and with no discount offered for that very bad dish - this is not on, in my book, for any restaurant when a customer had made mention of a shocking dish, and particularly so for a pricy dish. Nonetheless, I left a smallish $5 tip.
PS: Potsticker has a great Yum-Cha menu, with mostly "not your standard yum-cha stuff". I spied some very innovative and interesting offerings. Will come back and give the Yum-Cha a go, and hopefully the venue and staff have found their mojo and inject some warmth and joy into the place!.
Yum Cha where you fill out a list & they bring the dishes out. Very good, as usual. Standout items - special fried rice & mandarin beef. Extensive menu - lots of variety. BYO wine.
Took the family for dinner and everyone loved it. The food was spot on and the service was friendly and efficient. The dumplings were very tasty and the beef spare ribs were amazing. Will definitely be heading back for more!

Nice venue in Caulfield, it even has a fountain/pond area to dine around! The service here is good and very professional and the food is good without being outstanding. In my opinion it is very overpriced for what you get but it is tasty nonetheless, but if your looking for cheap dumplings and Asian food, this isn't the place.
worth to try. come with my friends birthday party . very good decoration and staff is polite. like here a lot.
just the price is a bit expensive. suggest the owner of the restaurant can make the portion size a bit bigger. thanks a lot!
Five of us came to The Potsticker in Caulfield North on a Saturday night for a feed. We ordered two of the Aussie Banquets, as well as vegetable Hokkien noodles, chicken and corn soup, hot tea, and we enjoyed the complimentary prawn crackers. The restaurant is quite fancy, and the food was also very delicious. Customer service was pretty good. Thank you Potsticker.
The pork waffle and dumplings were great!
The XO prawns were a bit of a let down but the other mains were tasty.
The fried ice cream and fried Banana were amazing.
Went to Potsticker for a birthday dinner, and experience was outstanding!
Staff were great, nice to talk to- and efficient in taking your order.
Scenery inside is amazing, with a big pond in the middle nicely decorated and a good bar with a lot of options.
Food was tasty and nice.
Highly recommended, whether dine-in, takeaway or delivery.
Very tasty yum cha with excellent service and wine list in lovely setting. Ornamental blossom tree with lights and water feature is a highlight centrepiece in the restaurant .
Beautiful venue with beautiful food and attentive staff. Lovely place to sit down for Chinese food.
The water feature within the venue adds to an additional touch to the otherwise nicely layout restaurant. Menu selection at lunchtime is done through traditional pen on paper ticks and you find yourself asking did I just order too much. The dishes start piling in and you soon start to feel that you just can’t stop eating or stop enjoying the next piece. In the end you’re full while thinking whether there’s any room left for desert. With its friendly staff I’ll definitely give his place another visit soon.
Would 100% recommend this place. The food was amazing! And the variety of drinks is incredible. Great cocktails and a wide range of wines.
