This has always been the hot pot spot to go for any celebration or family gatherings. As you enter, the restaurant's beautiful themed decor cannot go unnoticed. The seating arrangement is very structured and is very comfortable. Although we are familiar with the boss of the restaurant, the staff, I must say, are not very verbally welcoming at the tables on the few occasions I have been here.
There is an entire bench in the middle of the restaurant filled with a variety of aromatic, spicy, umami and other delectable sauces to dip your meat and vegetables in. These sauces are unlimited and you get to pick your own sauces without any cost. Go ahead and explore the different combinations of these flavours. If you don't know where to start, I recommend the chilli oil, sesame paste, a bit of garlic, spring onions,
If you haven't had hotpot before, this restaurant serves each individual with their own pot of soup which you get to pick any base (could be seafood, oxtail, chicken, sichuan). The dining group can order a variety of seafood, meats, or vegetables to share. Waiters are always ensuring you have enough soup stock as they can refill without any extra cost.
I ordered my favourite oxtail soup because I love how soft the meat falls of the bone and how hearty the broth. Be careful, it is extremely hot and I always manage burn my tongue every time at this restaurant despite warning myself. Other soup bases I would recommend are: Abalone + black chicken soup, seafood soup and/or do half-half with a spicy stock (only for the strong!).
There is so much variety of high quality meats and seafoods as there are of vegetables, mushrooms, etc. I've never tried their main dishes but I've heard many good reviews about it. The ox tongue and lamb are meats I'd definitely recommend in the soup, as well as their meat balls and prawn balls with cheese. They always present to the table a beautiful arrangement of meats, seafoods, mushrooms, and even noodles, which make your mouth drool.
We had some watermelon juice on the side, which I absolutely loved and wished I had more of it. It was on the sweet side yet still maintained the flavour of the watermelon, which was so refreshing in the mouth.
Price is definitely up there and by the time you are full, you've already splurged at least to $50 each person.
Would definitely come back!
The home to amazing hot pot! The concept at Dainty is individual hot pot which is perfect if you're going with a group of people with different requirements of the soup base.
I really like the concept where you get to choose and pick your own soup base and you get your choice of making your own sauces at an extra cost.
There is a good range on the menu and their seafood and meat platters are amazing, perfect for sharing. Highly recommend this place as their soup base and broth are amazing.
What I love here is their individual pot so you get to have your own and not share with others. Ingredients are fresh, soup are delicious and their sauces are abundant. Highly recommended
