A solid cafe. Decent coffee. Great slices! I liked their vanilla slice - it's my weakness! It was nice and sweet and the pasty was flaky!
Great quality food. Best coffee around Rmit for its price. Friendly staff with great customer service. So much to choose from the menu. Personal favorite Traditional Eggs Benedict.
Great spot for RMIT students and faculty to pop in and grab a bite between classes. Prices are very reasonable on food items, and service is usually quick! Staff are always friendly, I've never had a bad experience here.
Great service. My first coffee was served warm but my second was perfect. Good value for money - I had corn fritters with a generous serve of non fatty bacon and spinach. My fritters could have done with a bit more corn and the spinach could have been drained a bit more. But overall quite satisfied. My partner enjoyed his eggs with salmon and avocado. No scratchy toast here

Pearson and Murphy’s is a big departure from the cafeteria’s I was used to at Uni back in the 80s. Back then it was just a pie or for something exotic some fried rice with chilli sauce! This place offers quality gourmet food in the form of wraps, sandwiches, muffins and the like.
$13.50 big breakfast is an absolute winner....amazing every time. Also their sandwiches/rolls/wraps are all amazing on great bread or roti wraps. Delish
Very Nice Spot. Great Cafe, especially for a Uni, so many options you could go everyday.
Good vibe, location, lots of seats that always get filled.
Had the mushroom/thyme soup, was fairly bland with just a sprinkle of dried thyme on top and a WHOLE lot of bland mushroom soup, with the out of a packet bread and airline butter the only 'saviors'. Still, the other food looks quite nice, and I'd suggest avoiding that soup.
Omelette was good and very filling! I think coffee was taken too far.. Loved the decor, service pretty quick as well. But overall good and will be back!
Good looking staff & food. I reccomend a thai chicken pattie or arancini with salad, it'll cost you around 9 bucks and your tummy will be sorted for the rest of the day. Tasty food, particularly the salads. Also don't forget to show your student card to get a discount! Some afternoons they even have free drinks.
Vegan Jalapeno wrap is very yum! Decent coffee, quite strong! I love that there is sparkling water on tap.
Quick service, salads, yoghurts, vegetarian, the full range of lunch food . Always busy, good vibe. Closes evenings.
We run Shut Up and Write sessions here every Friday morning from 9 am. We like Pearson and Murphy's because it feels like the cafe at the heart of RMIT. Thanks for hosting us, P&M.

a good place with great coffee. good for snacks, but personally I don't love the food. That's just me though.
Best place in the busiest part of Melbourne for a quick lunch or a coffee-meeting. Food is always good and very fairly priced. In comparison, I've eaten a couple of times in the cafe in the state library, 100 meters from this Cafe - more expansive and food not nearly as good.
