For some reason I always end up there at festivals. Haven't been disappointed so far. Bit pricey, but what would one expect for the location?
Another stall I visited during the Melbourne Show. Wanted to grab a bite without it being burgers or pizza and thought the gozleme being made fresh on the spot looked great.
Although not an expert on gozleme or turkish food for that matter, I found these to be very enjoyable. From watching them make them down the "production line" to biting into the crunchy and delicious pastry, I had a great experience. I was a bit diappointed however, as I had ordered the beef, fetta and spinach ($11) but could barely taste the beef. Had I not expected the beef, I'd be content with the combination of cheese and spinach. They had a range of sauces available and I tried a few pieces with the garlic sauce and bit of chilli powder.
Service was fairly efficient - mind you the cues at the show kept them busy. Overall a great experience and I'd love to visit the original location.
The Whippeteers are ASHAMED to admit...we didn't have TIME/MONEY for the Gozleme. We were rushing to go to the BANKSY exhibition, and you think we could find the place? It was BEHIND the car park for Fed Sq. We were on a GRAFFITI GOOSE CHASE, and NEEDED something to eat, and QUICK.
So, we had the HOTDOGS. Whilst not great, they were fresh/tasty and prompt. Service was pleasant.
