The Sicilian is out of this world. Best bar, best pizza. Heartbreaker and Connie’s are a match made in heaven.
Never been here in person so can’t say much about the atmosphere not the service. However I had been such a big fan of their pizza from Uber eat, massive New York style pizza, one slice only literally size of my face, super delicious and open till late, absolutely love it.
Heard about heart breaker bar serving awesome slices so had to give it a go.
1 large slice is $5. Super quick delivery of food.
You order and pay at the bar, collect your guitar picks (which has your slice order on them), wait for a bell and head over to the pizza counter to collect.
They had chili flakes, Parmesan and Italian herbs at the counter for those who fancy them.
I ordered the pepperoni because duh and the 5 cheese.
Pepperoni had a good flavour overall, even on the non-pepperoni parts. However the salami was a bit dry.
The 5 cheese was gorgeous. Cravings satisfied
Went here after a great night out and GOD DAMN the pizza was literally everything i needed and more. You have to try it out if you haven't already. Great for groups! Us 5 girls (one was just wanting a bit of a snac so she had one slice) finished off the 18inch pizza
New York style pizza located within Heartbreaker Bar, the prices seem steep but one pizza can adequately feed 2-3 men. A total of 15 minutes is all it takes from order to mouth. We go half/half, half pepperoni and half mushroom.
Pizza arrives still in its box and piping hot. We pop the lid in wonder of this 18" behemoth, a regular Neapolitan pizza is 12". As it was still hot the cheese easily slid off the base at times, ideally (or not) you'd want to rest it for a bit. Very cheesey and greasy with a lovely base which held up on it's own and retained a nice crispness to it. The pepperoni were large disks and mild in spice but the mushroom portion was everyone's favourite, very luscious and meaty.
You can request for additional cheese or chilli flakes in a shaker. No plates were provided so we improvised by eating on top of the board, kind of messy. I think I enjoyed it much more than my colleagues, I think they are more pizza purists whereas I can appreciate diversity.
BEST PIZZA IN MELBOURNE!!! Stumbled across this place when we were getting a drink after dinner. Got a slice and my husband and I couldn’t believe our luck! We have been searching for NYC style pizza all over Melbourne and we have finally found it! Do yourself a favour and go get a slice, you won’t be disappointed! Also on ubereats for a huge pizza!
One of the best pizza places in Melbourne. The pizza place is located inside a bar. How cool is that?
They make legit New York style pizzas. They also offer delivery. Can’t speak highly enough of the pepperoni or cheese pizzas.
Food 4/5

This is one of the best pizza places in Melbourne. Legit New York style pizza in an awesome bar right in the CBD. They also offer delivery. Can’t speak highly enough of the pepperoni or cheese pizzas.
How does this place have such a low rating on Zomato? This is fantastic NYC-inspired pizza in the CBD. My buddy introduced me to this place and I've been back at least once a week for the past two months.
The pepperoni is amazing, the pizza is super fast and delicious, and it's done just like you would get in a New York dive bar, by the slice or by the pie.
The crust is awesome, the sauce and cheese is delicious, and they have shakers of parmesan, crushed peppers, and oregano. You can't ask for more than that on this side of the world!
It's insane that this place has 3/5 right now, there's very little like it anywhere in Australia.

Best pizza in Melbourne, hands down. Thin crisp base, tasty sauce and a choice of the only two toppings you’ll ever need on a good pizza - cheese or pepperoni. No bells and whistles, just honest food. Shout out to the one and only Heartbreaker as well, absolutely love this no BS tribute to 90s individuality, exceptional booze and quality music!
Amazing new restaurant in the heart of Melbourne. Great ambiance, staff were fantastic and attentive and importantly the food was amazing. Connie’s is a must visit if you love Italian food and are planning a trip into the CBD. Climb those stairs and you’re in for a treat!
Wonderful vibe, friendliest staff and lovely drinks. The cocktails are slightly higher than other places I've visited but worth it in my opinion. We had the Vegan pizza and we've still got leftovers a day later not only because of the taste that we're trying to savour but because of the fabulous size lol.
Go for the music, the vibe and meet the nicest people.
I had dinner with a group of girls on Friday and we had the best time. Food delicious, fun vibe and wonderful staff. We had James look after us who was brilliant and clearly loved what he did. We trusted James to design our menu and everything was delicious! Definitely save room for dessert, not to be missed. Will be back. Thank you to James and all the Connie’s team. Lisa.
Great vibe, delicious food and excellent service - brand new Connie's Diner is set to become a Melbourne icon, and extra brilliant that the kitchen is open late for those of us who don't work "normal" hours
Great grunge, Soaking up the fun like a sponge! Angus the great bartender took care Of everyone and when the great establishment closed (sad face) he recommended an amazing bar to go to next! 10 outta 10! Love every second! Give this man some love.
Best pizza near CBD in my opinion. Quality control is usually top notch too. Think there might have been a new girl on tonight on Friday, all the pizzas were coming out undercooked and soft. Sure she’ll work it out soon though 👊
Went for the food, stayed for the outstanding service! Our server, James, was super lovely, friendly and had great banter. He knew the menu inside and out and offered to even order for us if we were feeling adventurous (spoiler: we weren't!), but he still had heaps of great advice on how much to order and what went well together.
The venue's atmosphere and aesthetic is great, too, with a quirky but subtle take on a classic Italian restaurant.
Will definitely be back at Connie's for some delicious scran!
