Ordered this online and it arrived quickly, the food was still hot, and fresh. Its perfect. Try the snack curry fishballs and chicken wings. The flavours are definitely there and the macaroni satay beef. Will be returning here soon!
Quick. Cheap. Simple. I go there often for some HK food but however the selection of dishes is a bit limited, fried rice or noodle options are not available. Most of their dishes are baked rice dishes or soup noodles. I love the HK style milk tea š
Interesting place, hidden amongst the hair and nail salons.
Quaint place to have lunch, busy with a few other stores around for the lunch rush. Limited seats but can be shared with the cafes next door.
Ordered the Set B: radish cake, congee with pork and century egg, and HK milk tea. Price: $9.80
Great value, left feeling full. Though the wait time was long for the food.
Definitely be back.
More a 3.5. The club sandwich is ok, can be better as I've had ones in HK with spam etc. Don't worry I took a bite before taking the photo as I was so hungry, it didn't arrive eaten from Easi delivery. The HK coffee and milk tea had a strong tea taste which overpowered the coffee.
Iāve only been here for the egg waffles and milk tea . Up till now, itās one of the more authentic ones Iāve come across.
Definitely answers my cravings for egg waffles during tea break.
The baked seafood with spinach sauce was quite nice! I didnāt expect too much for it but it turned out really nice. Not too greasy, salty, creamy or cheesy (could be the downside that makes you get full quickly), which was great in a hot summer day! The portion of the seafood (mussel, prawn and fish) was generous. Milk tea on the other hand was just fine, nothing too special.
Food here taste like what they should taste like- very authentic! The egg puff is crispy outside and soft inside, not too sweet with a good flavour. The milk tea I got just tastes like the milk tea in Hong Kong - and it is so cheap compared to other places!
If you want food that is presented nicely, made with quality ingredients and served in a comfortable environment, this is not the cafe for you. But if you want to taste the flavours of Hong Kong by way of their infamous, western-influenced canteen fare, this is your place. I went for the Kong Kong French toast, which I fell in love with on my first visit there. I actually didn't even end up trying it at Cafe Soho, nor their milk tea or coffee. Instead, I opted for a design-your-own toastie, radish cake and crunchy bun two share between two.
The toastie was made with cheap tasty cheese and even cheaper white bread. It was greasy and delicious. The radish cake was alright but definitely not the best I've had. (Tip- put it inside the toastie.) Vegos heads up, it also has meat that I picked out. The bun was bigger than expected and coated with a healthy serving of margarine, plus condensed milk. It wasn't too sweet not too greasy, but it's not health by any means.
Nothing here really is. When you decide to eat here, you need to let all health concerns fall to the wayside. But that's the trade off for the novelty and nostalgia you're guaranteed when eating here. It's well worth the detour into the back corners of the Tivoli Arcade.
Donāt let the size of this eatery fool you. They have the best egg puff in town I tell you.
We have also tried the set B breakfast which comes with century egg congee.. yum.. radish cake is too wet for my preference and I choose hot milk tea for the drinks. Wish the tea is stronger.
Baked Chicken with white sauce and macaroni- yummm. Delicious, well seasoned and cook to perfection both the pasta and chicken.
Pork chop tomato sauce on fried rice. Just an OK fried rice. And they donāt charge extra for fried rice so I happy for that. Love the lightly battered and fried pork chop.
Will definitely return.
Great concept to bring a HK style cafe to Tivoli Arcade and lots of options to choose from. The hong kong milk tea is fabulous. Ordered the set meal with century egg pork porridge and radish cake. I think the standard of cooking can be further improved but for the price I paid for the set meal ( $9.80), it was amazing value.
