We always love coming to Montezumas. The chorizo enchilada is amazing! I like the atmosphere too. I recommend it for anyone travelling or staying on the coast.
Personally, I adore Montezuma's. I realise it's westernised Mexican food but I find myself craving it all the time! The food is yummy and addictive and always comes out hot. It's cheap food so it's easy to keep going back. This particular one has a nice, dim outdoor area for those humid nights. The portions are great and it's a very casual and relaxed vibe in the restaurant.
The day we went has promotion, 2 meins for 1!!! Good deal. We ordered Chicken Mexican and Montezuma Delight! I shared with other girl friend and was enough. Had a big delicious dinner
Tried an enchilada and the nachos, both were very good portion sizes and delicious. Came out hot from the oven, it was rather difficult to wait for the food to cool down a bit before we could dig in. We also tried the sangria which was average tasting. Average service.
Great little venue, very busy.Meals are good size, our eyes were too big for our stomachs and we could not finish the meal. Great staff and service. A good night!

"Average". We've been here a few times, it's ok, but I do think it was a bit average. I had the borrito's, and they were very bland, no flavour or spice, like Mexican should be! Don't know if we'll return??

Don't like it, LOVES it!. This was my second visit to Montezuma's Surfers, and it was even better than the first time (if that is possible). The layout of the restaurant is themed and fun, and the service is amazing.
We ordered a trio of tacos per person, and had a shared plate of the nachos. The nachos are a must, they are definately worth buying. The good thing about the tacos are that you can order different varieties, and not have the same flavour (which can get quite dull). I ordered the vegetarian, shredded beef and chicken, all very high quality, and I can't seem to decide which one was my favourite.
We also ordered 1/2 litre of the strawberry margarita. Probably the best margharitas I've ever tasted, very fresh in taste (but a little warning, they are a little bit strong, well for me anyway).
We had been to Aztec in Broadbeach years ago and we were staying in Surfers so we decided to try Montezumas. We were a bit put off by the bad reviews but tried it anyway and I am so glad we did! I was able to order a half serving of the nachos which was perfect for me - & only $12! My parents and my partner were also thrilled with their meals, and we had a voucher where you got one meal free so for 4 meals it only cost $60 - and one meal was $26, so very reasonably priced! Will definitely be back!
I cannot speak more highly of my visit. Amazing food, super friendly and helpful staff and great Mexican decor.
It was a super busy night apparently and there were only 2 servers working, but they managed to get our order out quickly and were still smiling. Great atmosphere.

Came here on a quiet night and had wonderful service. Serving size was generous and the beef taquitos were AMAZING. They had options for both vegan and vegetarian. Tried the vegetarian enchilada and burrito and both were pretty good. The size of the jug of margarita was massive and they were DELICIOUS! 100% recommend
Popped in for an early dinner with the Fam, staff where so friendly efficient and on the job, the food was great and the price was pretty standard for what we had, nice atmosphere also.
Would nearly have stretched to 5 stars but we make a pretty mean nachos ourselves, all in all was a nice experience.
