Review Aria Restaurant Sydney - Sydney

Delicious lunch with the most iconic view in Australia. Love it. Elegant dinning!

We had the lunch tasting menu with matching wines and it was absolutely divine. What a fabulous way to experience five star cuisine. While each course is small it’s packed with the most amazing flavours and the wine pairings were phenomenal. The service was impeccable and the explanation of each dish and wine was superb. I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

So the short review - I wouldn’t recommend Aria. There was nothing that made me go wow and the dishes were average at best. A bit more detail - the oysters and the squab were tasty and the veal was okay, however everything else was really lacking considering that this is meant to be a fine dining restaurant and costs about $220 each for the tasting menu. Some dishes lacked flavour, one dish was dry and the service was not amazing. You were left almost waiting to be noticed and it seems that their selling point is the view of the opera house. I’m sad to say that it is not somewhere I would return to.

100% recommend, couldn't pick a favourite dish, everything about this restaurant was fantastic, from the greeting at the front door, to every waiter telling you about every dish, I left thinking, wow when can I go back..

A long time coming, we got the early dinner option 5:30pm. Great atmosphere, awesome staff. The four course menu was great. Good wines to match.

Went with my partner and we booked in advance to have a table with a view and the tasting menu. The person who seated us was a bit rude and seated us in the back with no view. We said we had requested a view but apparently that doesn’t matter. To make it worse, they had so many open tables in the front (we felt not good enough for them to get nice seats even though we were there early). The other servers were brilliant from then on. But then the food was very underwhelming in taste and extremely small portions (even for a fine dining restaurant). Thank goodness there was bread!

We came for a double birthday and anniversary celebration. Just me and my hubby. We chose the tasting menu. Nicely flavored morsels of food, paired well with the sommelier‘s selection of wines. We spent 4 hours here, very well paced food and wine service.

Wow just wow the food was divine and the prestiege wine pairing was absolutly delicious ! Seriously a great time for all. Worth the money. We spent $1200 for 2 people. What an incredible dining experience!

First of all there was a bone or something sharp in my first dish when I told my waiter he came back and said he checked dish and couldn't find anything. Was hoping there would have been an apology or something but nope got nothing Then the steak fillet (black Angus) was too dry for my liking I ordered medium as well. Not enough seasoning and sauce. Very dry. I like my steak moist tender and medium cooked so I was disappointed with this dish The knife they gave me was so blunt I really struggled to cut the steak with it so I asked waiter for a sharper knife I could sense the waiter was getting irritated with me as well The atmosphere was nice and I liked the table we got assigned But the food was average nothing exceptional so general a let down

Took my cousin who was visiting from Europe. It was a winner move. We were both overwhelmed with the quality of the food. We were surrounded by a choreography of knowledgeable and yet discreet staff. But most of all we were enjoying some killer views. I was delighted to find that the venue had a thick blue carpet creating a quiet atmosphere where we could catch up, enjoying the food and not having to shout like in most Sydney venues. I must disagree with the notion that this establishment is pricey as with the high quality of the food and professionalism of the staff, it is certainly worth the money and was in fact quite reasonably priced. This will be my go-to place for any overseas guests. A memorable experience.

I can’t imagine anyone saying anything negative about the food here, and I’m no expert, so suffice to say it was as delicious as you’d expect. What I was even more impressed with was the staff. Polite without being obsequious. Friendly, knowledgable and just generally a pleasure to engage with whilst enjoying a spectacular meal and a pretty amazing view. Well worth the $$$.

Still the best dinning experience in Sydney. Great food service and ambience not to mention the view of the Opera house and harbour. Have experienced many well renowned restaurants around the world. Aria is probably my favourite👏

food was good, but the services were really really bad, I would not come back again at all. The waiter did not introduce the menu at all, and no smile at all for the whole times.
