Review Sagra Restaurant - Sydney

Fei
Oh my gosh, their pasta melts in the mouth! Their in-house chilli oil is also super on point!!! We ordered all four pastas on the menu and as a meat lover, I actually got so impressed by the pumpkin tortellini (best in Sydney we’ve encountered so far) and smoked eggplant cannelloni and preferred them better than the other two. Proper service!

Sagra really is as amazing as people say—if not more. For starters, the food is absolutely delectable. You can tell how skilled the chefs are, as well as how much love they put into each dish. I was truly impressed by how mouth-watering everything was, from the mains to the cocktails. The service is also impeccable, thanks to the friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waitstaff. And finally, the ambiance is just right (at least for me). It’s refined but still warm, which is something quite rare to find when it comes to food of this high standard. All in all, Sagra is an absolutely beautiful dining experience. I can’t wait to come back! The team should be so proud of what a wonderful restaurant they’ve built.

I was recommended Sagra and arrived with my sisters and mum later on a Thursday night for a drink. We were warmly welcomed by Edward, the owner who was so modest and kind. It was lively but he made sure that we were constantly seen to and had everything and more that we wanted! The feeling of this restaurant is incredibly personable, yet sophisticated. It stays true to its Italian roots, changing with the seasons while maintaining a local and approachable feel. Will be coming back here every time I visit Sydney! Thank you.

Great authentic Italian food. Fair priced. Friendly staff. Good wine and a nice atmosphere.

Amazingly good food. Per plate quantity seems less, but if you go for proper three course meal, then it will be enough. Nice and cosy ambience.

Had an amazing experience in Sagra on valentines day. The staff were friendly and well acknowledged about food and drinks. Food was absolutely delicious. Especially, Ricotta gnocchi with prawns in bisque sauce was my favourite. Would definitely recommend this plcae to dine in for delicious Italian food.

The tiramisu was the best I've ever had, rest of the pasta although serving was small was very tasty.

Nice little authentic Italian restaurant. We really enjoyed our entrees kingfish crudo and potato croquettes and the chocolate mousse dessert but the fregola main with calamari was too salty and I couldn’t finish it. Service is attentive but not overly as usually I would expect the waiter to ask how was your evening when paying bill. Overall lovely restaurant and very relaxing atmosphere.

Found this amazing little place last night. We had the best time and so glad we came across it. This place will become a regular for us no doubt about it. Venue, food, service, atmosphere.... everything was 10/10!!!! The tortellini is the best pasta I've ever eaten! I'm already wondering when I can fit a visit in again. Thank you again.

warm and down to earth venue with lovely staff and a stellar menu!

Excellent inventive menu tonight, perfectly executed cooking, very tasty food, accompanied by eminently drinkable wine and served with a brief and knowledgeable story about the produce and producers. A great night and will always be a go to when in Sydney.
Margot Saville
Absolutely wonderful food, terrific wine list and friendly, welcoming service that makes you feel at home. They cope very well with dietary issues, even for the regional dinners, which have fixed menus. Eating at Sagra is always a great experience.

Absolutely fantastic little spot, food was amazing, atmosphere incredible, service even better! Will definitely be going back here. Loved it!

Family dinner where we tried most things on the menu, food was good however the servings are small. The service team are a little frosty. I would go back but not in any rush.

Great food, great service, reasonably priced for the quality and produce you are getting. More places should be like it! Well done Sagra!

The cutest corner terrace, warm and friendly service together with simple and seasonal Italian food makes for a lovely dinner. Every time I have been to Sagra, I have not been disappointed. The pasta dishes are always cooked to perfection and are made with a handful of ingredients, just the way pasta is meant to be made. I’ll happily be back again and again. #sagra
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
You’ll find Sagra in a humble brick terrace on Stanley Street. The unremarkable white-walled dining space is furnished with marble tables and dark brown wooden bistro chairs, set under exposed light bulbs. I’ve arrived quite late to the Sagra party. While this restaurant was originally owned and operated by Nigel Ward (Lucio's, Sean's Panaroma) in the ensuring years, it changed ownership and now has Michael Otto and Edward Saxton at the helm. Luckily for me these chefs seem to operate from a similar brief, with a short, Italian menu that changes daily and reflects the best of the season's wares. Over a malty, Birra Messina Lager ($10), I considered the one-page menu, neatly arranged into...

I really liked this place... We were greeted in a super friendly way and the service continued to be that way the whole evening. Its a small place but really cosy and welcoming.<br/>The primi pastas were delicious! So we had pretty much all of them and only one main to share. Even when our choices were a bit limited (dairy free and pregnant) the ones we were able to try were really good.

Tucked away in an intimate terrace on Stanley Street this restaurant might be easy to overlook but it's only a short (if steep) step away from Oxford Street. Lunched here last Saturday with a friend and it was very quiet. We shared zucchini flowers with pecorino and she had a pasta main while I had roast trout with a julienne of roasted vegetables. We also shared a flourless chocolate cake dessert and some glasses of an excellent Italian white wine, the name of which escapes me.<br/><br/>The food was excellent and all up it came to around $130 (my companion also supped a cocktail). I am not sure how long Sagra has been here but I would definitely come again.

The restaurant itself is cute and very intimate, I enjoyed our entrees, we ordered the burrata, Tuna crudo, zucchini flowers and octopus! The barramundi I ordered was amazing which paired perfectly with the pepperonata (sweet and savoury) and had a sample of the pastas which were great and seemed very fresh. The service was abit off that night, only downside but we did enjoy the food.

- Pumpkin and sage ravioli (4/5): Perfect morsels of al dente ravioli filled with creamy pumpkin swimming in a delicious sage butter sauce with the perfect amount of cheese on top. This left me wanting more!!! <br/><br/>- Arancini (4/5): So nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside filled with cheese and mushrooms. Every bite a DELIGHT! This is a great starter and a generously sized arancini ball. <br/><br/>- Yoghurt and Raspberry Pavlova (3.5/5): As a yoghurt lover I thoroughly enjoyed the slightly sweet and slightly tarte taste of this dish. The meringue gave it a wonderful texture and the raspberries broke up the flavour well. However, my friends who don't like yoghurt found the sourness overpowering so I had this one all to myself :) <br/><br/>- Tiramisu (3.5/5): The tiramisu was a hit around the tables. So light and fluffy and not overly sweet. However it's nothing really out of the ordinary. You can't go wrong with tiramisu really. <br/><br/>- Chocolate Mousse (3.5/5): This tasted like a smooth dark chocolate mousse and I loved the crunchy honeycomb on top. Yum!

very nice interior and atmosphere. pasta is a small portion (as it’s supposed to be) so do not order this as a main as it won’t be enough food. Third time here and always underwhelmed but my folks like it. Tonight I had the pork chop, and it was so salty it was almost inedible. My mum felt the same. My dad had the mushroom lasagne and said it was stodgy. We won’t be coming back :(
TobyIacc
Fantastic dinner. The service is super friendly and attentive. The bresaola was amazing.... so soft. We had the fish and the duck which were both generous portions and delicious. Really looking forward to trying the pastas next time.
Nozaira Sultana
This is the best Italian I had. Ever. The taste was unbelievable! I am not at all into veggies and the dish was vegetarian. If I ever decide to turn one I know I won’t starve with bad food. Highly recommended.

Tucked in a gorgeous heritage-listed terrace at the junction of Stanley and Riley Street, Sagra is a one-hatted restaurant which offers a limited range of unpretentious Italian fare. The sparse and little restaurant is owned by the same proprietor of Sean's Panorama and Lucio's.<br/><br/>I tried two dishes from the restaurant. First, the entree, confit duck breast slices with tarragon aioli and watercress, was probably more boring than it sounds. While the plump confit duck was tender and succulent, the modest dish lacked any tantalising flavour or expressive ingredient. I would probably forget in a couple of days' time. <br/><br/>Second, the spatchcock with green garlic and salsa rossa, was dry and hard. The chicken was probably overcooked. The condiments were nothing special and did not enhance the taste of the chook. A trip to Oporto might be better for your wallet and tastebuds.

My husband and I came here to catch up with a friend and we agreed that it was a good choice and a good night. (We also didn't get kicked out as there is a two seating on Friday nights and we were able to chat and relax)<br/><br/>We had their pumpkin arancini balls to start and we all ended up getting their duck pappardelle which was delicious! Silky smooth pasta but the only problem was my husband wanted double the size!<br/><br/>For dessert two of us got their tiramisu which was good but not the best I have had as there was too much cream and the apple crumble was the other dessert of choice and that seemed to be enjoyed by the diners.<br/><br/>Staff were friendly but when the restaurant is full it does get quite noisy so it's hard to have a conversation without yelling.
Anna001
Super yummy food all around- we had the arancini balls (some of the best I've ever had), the nettle lasagna (super good), the artichoke pasta (nice) and the pumpkin amaretto tortellini (delicious). So yes, perfectly good for vegos. The service was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Service: friendly<br/><br/>YES<br/>Pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with burnt butter - not too heavy <br/><br/>MAYBE<br/>Spaghetti alla chittara with pipi and chilli - could pass on this but it's not a bad option <br/><br/>NO<br/>Burratta - way too salty and almost inedible <br/><br/>Will go back to try other dishes
The Napoli Alert
Lovely light filled corner spot with a rustic interior.  Cute little high benches to sit on outside.  Loved the duck prosciutto.  Tried the pappardelle ragu for main; pasta could have been a bit thinner, and needed more sauce.  Loved the honeycomb dessert!  Also really enjoyed the special blood orange cocktail that was on offer.  Service was a little slow and distracted but friendly.
Nicolás Tuñón
The food is quite good, but is not nice they charge you AUD 14 for a glass "house wine" (the kind you get during lunch). AUD 8 is more than good for a glass of wine you don't even select by yourself.

I ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. <br/>The entrees were interesting and absolutely delicious - zucchini flowers where a winner ! <br/>The lamb ragu pappardelle and salmon roe tagliatelle both delicious. <br/>Wine by the glass was on the small side.. <br/><br/>I definitely recommend this place - Aperol Spritz $13!!!!!! ❤️
Monica
Sagra offers lunch menu on weekdays - one course $25/2 courses $40/ 3 courses $50.<br/>We opted for the 2 courses this visit and all the dishes we chose were delicious.<br/>The carpaccio was so tender and flavoursome, buratta never dissapoints but the addition of the garlicky pangratatta was just on point.<br/>The pastas were definitely their strong point here , both were silky and just tasty. <br/>Definitely a must try place for simple honest Italian dining.

A really surprisingly, great meal. The interesting, inventive menu differs from your usual Sydney Italian eateries. A texturally exciting squid ink macaroni with cuttlefish and peas - I could have eaten another and another bowl. My partner's duck ragu was the best he has ever had - but better than 10 William, and A Tavola. <br/>The only negative would be that they hurried the meals - we had entree and main within half an hour and still had half a bottle of wine to go.<br/>Certainly deserved the recently awarded hat. <br/>

There are plenty of moderately priced modern Italian places in both Sydney and Melbourne. Though the staff and ambiance are lovely, nothing about the food at Sagra stands out from the pack.
Jo Durant
Really nice little Italian restaurant, with a varied menu that seems to change regularly. Good wine list. I've only been for lunch so far. The service was very friendly and relaxed.

Leaving with a very bad taste in the mouth. I have had the pleasure of dining at Sagra on 5 previous occasions and had thoroughly enjoyed it, the last was some 6 months ago. It would appear things have dramatically changed since my last visit.<br/><br/>Strangely the entrance has changed from the further Western door to the central door, so on arriving you walk into the very middle of the restaurant. All night people were milling around either waiting to be seated or walk ins enquiring....it was all very awkward.<br/><br/>On previous occasions we had been greeted with smiles and always helpful suggestions, the surly waitress who showed us to our seat should spend more time on being pleasant and less on her "body art". On asking about a wine we had previously we were told " not we dont have that" no helpful suggestions and off she went.<br/><br/>We settled on a bottle of white that was unfamiliar but sounded interesting so we gave it a whirl. It arrived cold and was plonked on the table. After waiting some ten minutes we enquired whether it might be possible to have an ice bucket....."oh yeah of course" was the reply, it arrived...chilled but with no ice in the base and proceeded to warm up to room temperature rapidly.<br/><br/>The entrees arrived both were ok , the Quail was cooked well but not falling off the bone, for some strange reason the kingfish ceviche was served with grilled bread with a very prominent flavour....coupled with the toast the ceviche disappeared totally...and it must have been a very very small fish.<br/><br/>The empty plates were cleared finally and the main courses arrived...with our wine steadily warming up.<br/><br/>My dining partner ordered the pippies and myself the lamb. We were not brought any seasoning and had to ask if they could kindly bring us some salt and pepper..the former absolutely not needed with the pippies .<br/><br/>Quite simple the pippies were inedible...the salt was so pronounced one would wonder what on earth they had done....the lamb was inconsistent with strings of gristle.....much the same as the first it was unpleasant and inedible, what little there was of it.<br/><br/>We called the waiter/owner over told him we weren't happy and to his credit he asked if they could cook something else. The night was pretty awful we just wanted out and asked for the bill.<br/><br/>He brought the bill $155 which we paid and then he asked what was wrong with the meals.....we explained the pippies were so salty as to be inedible his response was " that's the nature of the beast".......um no it's not actually....I then explained the lamb was<br/>full of gristle and inconsistent and was just unpleasant.....his response was that it was backstrap.....or some such...it was a very very poor piece of meat.....the Kings Cross pub serves better lamb.<br/><br/>We then raised the fact that we had to ask for an ice bucket and he had actually started to say " oh yes but this wine....." and we could see where he was going and he was smart enough to shut up...a $68 bottle of white wine served cold should be kept cold.<br/><br/>The food was bad the service perfunctory at best...................we left as soon as possible went around the corner to the Owl House and had lovely service with a few cocktails and an excellent chocolate mousse to finish the evening. A nice finish to an otherwise very unpleasant and underwhelming evening.

Sagra evokes a celebration of Italian cuisine. Taking its name from the numerous local festivals occurring around regional Italy, this is a neighbourhood diner with a difference. Channelling the very best of Nonna's cooking, Sagra creates seasonal dishes with a menu that changes weekly. Chef owner Nigel Ward takes great pride in process , baking fresh bread in-house and doing their own whole-animal butchery (you might've seen those photos of him with a pig rather awkwardly slung over his shoulders on the interwebs). As is often the case for me, this was just one of those small scale restaurants I've been busting to try. Source: Luisa Brimble for Broadsheet Sydney The vibe is pared back, minimalist and decidedly casual - it beckons you in for a light lunch or candlelit dinner. Sagra sits unassumingly in a corner block on Stanley Street, also home to iconic Bill & Toni's and Bar Reggio close-by. Sometimes when you can't be bothered to cook, you secretly want the comforts of a home-style

One of my most memorable feasts ever was an Italian one. Vini e Vecchi Sapori is a tiny family run spot down a lane way in Florence, a favourite with locals that’s hidden from all but the most in-the-know tourists. I booked weeks out to secure one of a handful of tables. The seasonal menu changes daily and is lovingly hand written. And, as you’ll see from my memento menu below even the drinks selection simply reads ‘vino & birra’, and clearly there’s ‘no pizza, no bistecca & no ice’. An Italian nonna prepares the food in a pocket sized kitchen alongside her husband and their son, the sole waiter. Removing some of the bells and whistles we associate with dining out made for a magical experience. Anyway I reference  Vini e Vecchi Sapori  because of its similarity to Sagra. Sagra offers everything I’ve told you about Vini e Vecchi Sapori and more. A familial feel, limited tables, simple ingredients, a short ‘everything is divine’ menu. Sagra sits comfortably in a small terrace on the corn
Le Chef Phillipe
The best way to enjoy Sagra is to get a spread over the nibbles, house made pastas and then moving onto the bigger plates. The portion size might upset a nonna but the prices are a steal - $18 for a bowl of tagliatelle ragu? Hell yeah! The menu changes frequently which means that your favourite today may never return, but it’s certainly reliable when it comes to taste and service. Sagra is the simple crowd pleaser to shake up the Italian institutions of overpriced red sauce and cheese joints. It’s like the iPhone of Italian restaurants in Sydney, with lots of ‘bon appetito’.
Denny Luong
Venison ragù was also something we had not often seen. The venison was beautifully tender, with an exotic mix of aromatics used to elevate the flavours. It was a beautiful spin on the standard ragù for pappardelle, which I might add, was just a hint thicker than the stracci upon investigation.
Libby Margo
Thankfully, Sagra delivers on all those promises and a lot more in a cosy timber-lined dwelling that looks more like someone’s home in the inner ‘burbs than one of Sydney’s hottest restaurants. Having been completely out of the loop when it came to the Sydney dining scene, I had actually never heard of this place until Raphael (my go-to guide for anything to do with Sydney and food) mentioned it to me. I love a good Italian (lol) so with that in mind, I suggested pretty much forced my fellow Melbourne dining companions Sam and Nee , who were in Sydney with me for the weekend, to come dine with me.
Pheebs
Very traditional Italian using the best produce for the day to create a small but well considered menu that changes daily.. I would say it'd be better if the primi course pasta was available in a main course size... For eg the tortellini ricotta pasta we had ($20), there were only FOUR tortellini pieces..so it is expensive in relation to the serving size.. However all the dishes were exceptionally yummy - highlights were the squid ink spaghetti, ricotta tortellini, the smashed meringue and vanilla bean panna cotta. Great Sangiovese too (their house brand).<br/>Great night and great casual place for a date or with friends. Will def be back :)

Can’t stop singing the praises of here!. Looking at the menu, you’d think choosing would be a cinch from such a small menu, but no. Once you see the dishes floating past to other diner’s tables, you’ll find yourself in an ordering dilemma. I flagged my partner’s shellfish allergy through the online booking form and the level of initiative and care taken to accommodate the allergy in a way that we could both try each other’s dishes (without me missing out on my shellfish friends) ... it was like being looked after by family. Noteworthy is your booking will be in a limited time frames as they do sittings. The bill for our four courses, pre-dinner drinks and a good bottle of wine came to just $222.

Amazing.. After some friends encouraged me to give Sagra another try, I ventured back last night and am so happy that I did.<br/>We had an amazing meal <br/>as we have had on all but the previous time. <br/>The service was excellent and the staff were all very knowledgeable and very helpful.<br/>We will return.<br/><br/><br/>-----15 Jan, 2015-----<br/><br/>Dinner disaster.. After 2 previous enjoyable experiences at Sagra, we had a VERY disappointing meal last night. <br/>On arrival we were informed that tha salmon listed on the set menu was unavailable and instead there was a chicken dish. Fine.<br/>We ordered a salumi plate to share and were given quite clearly two serves on one plate and were billed accordingly. The presentation was appalling...a pile of sliced meats piled onto a plate with a small bread stick plonked on the top!<br/>Then the main course arrived. I had the pappardelle which was very nice. My husband had ordered the pork rib and what arrived looked like 2 schnitzels on the plate. When we asked the staff if he had received the correct meal, we were informed that he had. I then asked to check the menu and when the waitress returnd she said that they had run out of the pork ribs and she must have forgotten to let us know when we ordered!!!!!!<br/>The pork schnitzels were completely tasteless. <br/>Needless to say we will not be making a return visit to Sagra and will not be recommending it to anyone else.

Steep Cancellation Fee. In Sydney for a Wedding and we were looking forward to dinner at SAGRA. Unfortunately a family emergency was the reason we had to cancel our 6pm booking.......Read the fine print before you might have to cancel at this place.......cost us $240 ...that's right $40 a head....because we did not cancel in the correct time frame....we did not read the fine print but we not verbally informed of this either.......can understand a cancellation fee, but really...$40 /head... ??? Pretentious ...next they will be asking for a Drs. Certificate as proof !!!!! I will be face booking this ......and I will be reading the FINE PRINT for other restaurants in the future.

Simply loved it. Fantastic food, beautiful flavours, charming and warming place. Yes quite pricy, but totally worth the money. A fantastic italian treat!

Let down.... Went to Sagra last night after reading the rave reviews online, big mistake. Booked a table for five and for some unknown reason were sat on an enormous eight seater dining table right in the middle of the tiny room. Despite this obvious noticibility it took 15 minutes for us to order two bottles of wine and another 10 for them to arrive. Call me old fashioned but I tend to think anyone working in food service should be well groomed. If your waiter can't be bothered to shave his face and brush his hair I automatically question whether he takes the time to wash his hands...<br/><br/>On to the menu. $20 for gnocchi with house prepared sausage sounded reasonable until the plate arrived, or should I say half a plate? Half a plate of slimy over-cooked gnocchi with two tablespoons of shredded up sausage mince for $20? Are you kidding me? I'm not afraid of a big bill or a cheapskate but $4 for two slices of sourdough with a tablespoon of olive oil is highway robbery.<br/>I understand having a short menu to keep wastage down but seriously? A choice between lamb with anchovies and zuppa de pesce (seafood soup) for secondi is no real choice at all. I think they change their menu quite frequently so I would suggest before booking a table you take a moment to browse through it before you commit.<br/><br/>Maybe we picked a bad night, maybe they were short staffed, maybe there was a new chef? All I'm sure of is I won't be returning in a hurry.
Fab
My partners lamb main was full of fat, hardly any edible meat and for $29 my partner was left hungry. My ricotta ravioli was nice though. I complained and they took meals away and we only paid for drinks, though our special night was ruined as my partner wanted to leave :-(((upsetting

Very nice Italian food!. From the start, the olives and bread were incredible, the pumpkin "chips" were nice but probably something I could have done myself. I have to say the best part was the pasta that was perfectly cooked and the flavor was to die for. Also the meringue dessert delicious and the wine was a great recommendation. The atmosphere is not the best, so quiet and a bit bright also the waiter was rushing us so much that it was really annoying.... would I go back? definitely!

Was highly recommended by a friend an I wasn't disappointed. Casual intermate setting made it perfect for a dinner without our daughter. Great menu and we were more than happy with our choices. We noticed the date on the top of the menu and found our by the owner it's a changing menu and look forward to our next visit to see what else they come up with. Great wine and priced well.
Caroline Sharpe
The limited menu does not mean the few dishes they do are particularly good. We had the pumpkin fritti and burrata with pickled eggplant to start, and the swordfish with pepperonatta and the pork with pumpkin and cabbage for mains. The eggplant was good but simple. The fritti were basically chips and not exciting at all. The swordfish was overdone and very basic. Something we could have knocked up at home in 20 minutes. The pork was nice but neither mains were delicate enough to justify paying $30 a plate. The service was pleasant but rushed and inattentive. Not worth the price.

AMAZING!!! Hands down, the .... AMAZING!!!<br/>Hands down, the most authentic Italian meal I've had in a while. Would highly recommend.
Eatmore
Mixed feelings. We had spaghetti vongole, roast chicken with fried polenta (shared), green salad, caramel gelato (shared) and a very nice Sardinian white . The pasta was a very small serving with very tiny clams (mainly empty shells) but had a lovely lemony sauce. At $21 it was overpriced. The chicken was just ok, the salad also very small. Gelato was delicious. We were warned that our table needed to be free by 8pm and felt somewhat pressured to hurry our meal. At $70 a head I would say that I wouldn't rush back.

TRUE ITALIAN STYLE. Recently ate at Sagra with friends, OMG fantastic fresh produce, real classic modern Italian dishes.<br/><br/>The thinly slice prosciutto is a must with a red glass of wine from Turin, Italy!<br/><br/>Venue is small, but very cosy.<br/><br/>This is a must dine venue, enjoy :)

Class act. I ate here recently with my partner. The service was really excellent and the food was fantastic. But the pasta was the real star - perfectly al dente and delicious. I cant't fault this place !
Kezlnicholas
Perfect restaurant. Dined here a couple of nights ago and loved this delightful restaurant.<br/>The buffalo mozzarella with chard was meltingly creamy, stuffed zucchini flowers were morsels of crispy deliciousness.<br/>The soft delicate pappardelle with tender beef shin ragu with proper parmiggiano was superb. Slow cooked goat also delicious.<br/>I was impressed that the wines, mainly from Italy, were very reasonably priced and carefully chosen by the proprietor. Service was friendly and faultless.<br/>If I lived locally I would come here every week. But if I lived locally I would not be publishing this review!! I'd keep Sagra a secret.
Jennifer Seah
Nice quality italian. A small charming restaurant, everything on the menu sounds delicious so its hard to choose. Great for sharing, though i have to add that the pasta dishes are quite small so you would have to order a few other dishes to fill up. With a bottle of wine for 3 people, we paid around $55 pp. The buffalo was delicious, soft and creamy, whilst both the ricotta ravioli and gnocchi were delicious pillowy bites of goodness. We thoroughly enjoyed the angus flank, a more substantial dish, whilst the smashed meringue w hints of basil was the perfect light dessert to this meal. Service was impeccable, they explained the wines and the food without ever being snooty. Perfect for small groups or a date night.

Yummo!!. Had dinner at Sagra recently and the food was awesome! I had the malfatti which was so tasty, and my boyfriend had the wild boar ragu with parpadelle which he raved about. We drank proescco throughout dinner which was lovely and so easy to drink. The desserts were also beautiful - we had the meringue as well as the praline ice cream with blood orange granita because we couldn't decide between the two, and we weren't disappointed. Would definitely recommend going here for a lovely meal out.

Great new restaurant. After looking at new restaurants around Sydney, we decided to go there for my gf's birthday. She had the pappardelle beef shin, while I tried the pea and richotta ravioli. Some of the best pasta I have had in a long time. This with the great atmosphere, made it a great night and definitely a restaurant I will be going back to.

Fantastic. Great food, good atmosphere, interesting wine list. Not much to criticise about that new place. It's everything an Italian restaurant should be yet well priced and very friendly. A clear must go to. We've been there for dinner. Warm welcome from the staff, chosing from the menu was hard ... Because everything was tempting. I recommend going through the whole lot, primi, antipasti and main. The homemade pastas are just perfect, full of flavour and rarely seen. The wines were great too and for once, not a rip-off.<br/>All in all a great experience, definitely recommend and will go back soon.

Anne. Wow, what a great little Italian restaurant find. Great food, knowledgeable friendly staff, and well priced. I had lunch here with friends and we shared several dishes so got to taste many of them. Particularly recommend the burrata with smashed broad beans and mint, and the milk fed lamb with vignole. Good wine list as well. Will be back to try the dinner menu

First time diner and all I could say was wow... took my daughter and have to say everything was impressive, Was particularly impressed with the tight yet great wine list. The food made to perfection..... a must visit.. and dare I say will become a favorite for the lucky and a great place to meet after work....

What a wonderful find. This little Italian restaurant has yummy, yummy food, that took me back to the restaurants I visited in the back streets of Italy. The seasonal menu is full of delicious surprises. We have been twice in the short time they have been open and found the staff friendly and welcoming. Great Italian wine list as well.
Dave
