Visited with friends and the decor is pretty interesting.The staff are nice but had to wait a while before someone came to our table to take orders.The mead served in the horn is a. Ice dramatic experience.The best part of the dinner was the crispy broccoli.Tried their pork belly and roasted chicken along with a side of potatoes.The chicken was a bit dry but overall decent food.
Sydney is lucky to have Mjølner and as a passionate foodie, I’m glad we have Mjølner. It’s a must visit joint. The venue is one of the best I’ve seen in Sydney, and the beer glass/horn is the most unique thing I’ve seen. Bone marrow was fantastic, oysters were creamy like butter and pork was cooked beautifully. Service was top notch and It basically ticks all the boxes! I give this place 5 bears.
Everything's perfect. The ambience is awesome, properly Viking, really good concept. Food is outstanding, really good I loved the mussels and the ribs. Nice beer in a horn of course, a must. Beautiful staff!
In celebration of our 8th anniversary, we were looking for somewhere nice to go. Its become a bit of a tradition to go out somewhere special for our anniversary as you might have seen in last years post for 360 Bar and Dining. Following our trip to Melbourne where we had visited the bar section of Mjolner, our friend suggested that we go to Mjolner Sydney (Mjolner Melbourne also has both the restaurant and bar). I made the booking online, which after a few plan changes was easy to update.
Visited on a busy Saturday night, upon arrival we were quickly seated and provided with menu. I loved the Viking theme and ambience of mjolner, we were provided the option of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic shot in a horn cup, for our mains we were provided a selection of knives and daggers to choose from which is quite different and exciting.
Highlight dishes were the short ribs and the venison tartare. The short ribs were cooked so well and the meat was so tender.
The fish had too much bones, making it very difficulf to enjoy and messy to eat due to the bones.
Portion size was massive! Great for sharing, and a fun place to dine with a large group
Awesome Viking themed restaurant. Super fun experience - hidden underground restaurant with no sign (booking essential for restaurant!), waiter gave a complimentary toast in a horn cup and provided a selection of knives to choose from to cut our meats with. Service was prompt with meats cooked perfectly, sauces were used where appropriate with no fancy unnecessary components. Dessert was okay with an interesting 'parfait' that consisted of cream & gummy candy like chews
Really hard to find haha sorta like a hidden gem! But the vibe is just so good, you can choose a knife as a weapon and can also choose to drink with a horn!
This place is legit. I’ve been once just to the bar and got the cheese platter and cocktails. Scored a table for a Christmas dinner which was so cool. So much food to share. Cocktails flowing. Shots on fire. 🔥 Don’t waste your money on the expensive alcohol - concentrate on the food!
Came here on a Monday night and it was very busy. Nice to get a complimentary shot drink at start. Theatrical setup and you can even take a photo with the props. Food was great.
I came here to celebrate a birthday over the weekend and it was an enjoyable experience, The ambience first of all is amazing. Everything was true to the vikings theme from decor to cutlery, to the utensils for dining.
The food itself was good. We ordered the banquet menu since there was a large group and had a variety of food. I would not mind returning to try other dishes on the menu. I think a highlight would be the entree with the raw salmon. I ordered Fog of War for my cocktail and I liked it, tasted like a Calipo!
We also got to pick our utensils (knives) and although it looked fancy, I wish it was sharper. We really struggled to cut through our meat.The shot glasses were adorable and drinking out of a horn looks easier than done.
Drinks are on the pricier side explaining our large $2k bill but overall, I would come again for the experience.
I booked for my bf birthday and I got the most amazing experience here. He loved, I loved it. We loved it. The food is amazing and the staff is lovely! I can’t wait to go back. I understand why it is so famous- It’s a completely worthy experience to celebrate an special occasion or just to catch up.
There’s a 2 hour slot like in every restaurant nowadays so if you and your mates arrive on time, everything will go as expected.
Unique dining experience! Delicious food. Fantastic service. We’ve taken a few different friends here and every time they are blown away from the moment you walk in. Staff really get into character and you feel immersed into the Viking world. The food is made to share. We loved the quail, pork belly, bone marrow, ribs, broccoli. Cocktail menu extensive, inventive and tasty.
Super popular so bookings essential. It’s underground so there’s limited to no phone reception (just like the Viking days!). Plenty of free parking on side streets.
Received very good service from the staffs here, especially Kristie. She explained for us about the drinks and the foods very detail, very friendly and helpful. We had very good experience with this Viking restaurant for my partner’s birthday. Explore something that never tried before, special style of drinking beer by the horns. Will highly recommend people to try this place!
Awesome experience! The welcome shots, atmosphere and drinks really helped get you into character for the Viking experience! Ordered the bone marrow, venison tartare and whole ocean trout with baby potatoes and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Definitely a unique dining experience!
This was a dining experience. The atmosphere and wait staff made for a truely enjoyable evening. The mains were terrific and cooked perfectly, the meat was just so tender and flavoursome. The desserts looked great with the flaming pour over, but we're a bit of a miss in flavour and texture, and I probably wouldn't bother with then in the future. Highly recommend for a small group, but note that you will need to book well in advance to get a table.
As a man that loves all things Vikings, this was a must to check out and can I say it did not disappoint.

WOW, they had everything right for this period.
Some very interesting cocktails and some very tasty meads.
Secondly the food,
This is where this place SHINES, the food was bang on with everything and I mean everything.
The meat was the best.
Super tasty, was cooked to perfection.
The dessert was also perfect.
Lastly the staff,
They were very friendly and were always up for a story.
We will be back and hopefully, check out the Melbourne one too.
But what would I know I'm just a bearded guy that loves beer.
Speak easy Viking theme restaurant. Beer are served out of horn . We had a selection of knives for our meats. Our wait staff, Lucas, was great. Try this for something different. Portion is big, do share. Good for groups.
