There were oodles of noodles and VERY IMPORTANT P’NUTS for the official opening of Chef Nut Kunlert’s 11th Australian P’NUT STREET NOODLES restaurant at 26 Playfair St The Rocks, Sydney. Been frequenting Wok on Inn for more than a year now with colleagues from work. Always enjoy walking in the rocks on a nice sunny day. Good Asian cooking can be customized to your spice quotient. Wait times are easy and there's plenty of seats and every 11th meal is on the house!!!
I can not rave about the authenticity of this little noodle bar enough! It is such a hidden gem in the rocks. Yes it looks rather small and plain but I have never tasted better noodles. My boyfriend got the teriyaki noodles and I got the mee gore goreng. The mee goreng is so spicy but the best I've ever had. The flavours are impeccable. The actual seating area is undercover yet outdoor and riddled with gorgeous fairy lights and bright chairs and tables. A very cute date spot.
Last time I ate here I had the Mongolian Sweet Soy Hokkien Noodles with Beef. It was amazing. Staff are polite. Located in a nice spot. Can't really complain.
Singapore street noodles $12.95. Rice vermicelli, egg, button mushrooms, carrots, bean sprouts, blend of spices with mild heat and chicken breast pieces. Wonton soup – Chicken and seafood
This little gem is hidden up one of the Rocks side streets. The service was fantastic and we were served our dish in under 15 minutes. If you're on the move you can get it in a box.
If you're a beer lover there is a variety of Thai beer's to pick from and a small seating area to enjoy.
Wok On Inn is a nice casual eatery in the rocks. There's generally some live music playing in the forecourt so it's quite therapeutic eating noodles while chilling out in the beautiful stone lined buildings in the rocks. The pad thai ($11ish) was nice, a mix of sweet and savoury textures which was easy to eat. It's one of their signature dishes. You will find egg, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts throughout the beautiful sweet/salty noodles. They also run a monthly competition if you have a lot of instagram friends. I entered but unfortunately only tagged @Wokoninn and not #wokoninnfan so make sure you do both for your chance to win 10 free meals. The photo above is my entry. What do you think? As luck would have it my all time favourite Wednesday off from work this week involved amazing food. After a superb breakfast at THE BEACH SHED followed by a large walk up Long Reef headland and back I was asked if I would like to review a WOK ON INN venue. Last week WOK ON INN opened a new store in Zetland and the fantastic peeps offered to shout me lunch at any store so I could check it all out, and not one to shy away from food, off I plodded, the plodding part was amazing, caught the ferry from Manly to the city in the sun so I could feast at their Rocks venue and then ferry back.
