Visited Malabar beach to find Happy as Larry at the beach park. We have had pizza from their truck at Bella Vista and outside the Opera house on previous occasions and they always have delivered the goods. Great pizzas, some music to add some atmosphere and good value. Well done to the team. Very good.

Very nice food, full of flavours and textures. We like their banana bread the most. Benny and big breakfast were amazing too. For dinner, only tried the slow cooked meat and pasta, everything good! Should try their pizza next time.

I went there for breakfast and I sat in front of the kitchen. I could see the orders getting ready! I ordered acai bowl which was really good. With lots of fruits and nuts. The nuts were are roasted and crunchy. It was the best acai bowl I have ever had so far. I am obsessed with acai bowls and have tried them everywhere. Theirs is the best

Paid $17 for one of the worst take away carbonaras I've had. Bland tasting and full of fat as opposed to bacon. They also forgot my order, te guy said 5min, went back 7min later, and said 5min again. Didn't even apologize. Never again.

Best and most consistent coffee I've had in Sydney in years! The toast (also important) is also good and service from J & T is on point 👌🏼 Have also had lunch there and it was super tasty & great to have the healthy option with Zucchini pasta. It's my new favourite in Sydney for work lunch, takeaway, coffees and meetings.

Had lunch here today and it was delicious. I've always found the takeaway service to be very friendly and professional and dining in was no exception. Honestly finding somewhere in the cbd with reasonably priced fresh and tasty food options that offers both takeaway and seated area with service is tricky - but look no further. So excited I've finally found somewhere that does amazing pasta dishes with the option of zucchini spaghetti for those of us less gluten tolerant. I'll be back many times!! Coffee is great too.

I dined here midweek at lunch time. We had a booking and were seated immediately. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with the mushroom sauce. The chicken was tender and had a crunchy outside. Always a fan of shoestring fries so that was great. My only comment would be that the mushrooms in the sauce were quite chunky. They added a great flavour to the sauce but it was probably a bit too many big mushrooms for me. The location is convenient to work and there are some great looking dishes on the menu so would come back to try them.

I honestly wish there was a store closer to south-west sydney! I've had Happy as Larry when they open food trucks at events and I honestly love love love everything about it! Especially the mushroom pizza, just so delicious! Best eaten when it comes straight out of the oven!

This is my workplace’s go-to place for amazing pizza. Always super friendly service and not too long of a wait (10-15 minutes for fresh pizza)!! Out of all the ones we’ve tried so far, I’d have to say my favourite would be the mixed mushroom pizza. <br/>One thing I’ll note though is that it must be eaten as soon as possible as the base is very thin and soaks up the sauce in time and gets a little soggy.

Great pasta and decent size. I tried this place as there was a discount available on EatClub. It was very good value with the discount. Without the discount it's still not bad but would not be a regular lunch time choice.

Grabbed a coffee as I walked past yesterday and it was really very nice so came back today for breakfast. I had Larry’s Eggs Benny. Wow. What a treat. Everything perfect and presentation was spot<br/>On. My partner had the Poached Pear Porridge. It was a massive serve full of bits of this and that. Outstanding! Service could not be faulted.

Arrived during lunch time and were promptly seated. The wait staff were extremely kind and attentive. Lovely al-dente pasta (we ordered the mushroom & zucchini pappardelle) and tasty pizza (must be eaten once served otherwise the middle gets all soggy... unfortunately so).

I didn't realise the Happy as Larry (HaL) food truck had found a permanent home in Metcentre. We ended up here for an early breakfast before work. The big breakfast was the undisputed choice for the table - it came with toast, eggs, avocado, bacon, labne, tomatoes and mushrooms, enough food to power the majority for most of the day and small eaters for a whole day. While the food was basic, it was well executed with poached eggs having suitably runny yolks and bacon crisp enough. The coffee, made with Grounds of Alexandria beans, was surprisingly good too.

Only been once but will be back. Grabbed a couple of salads and they were super tasty and substantial. Homemade lemonade was really good - although note it's almost a bitter lemon, which is what I really want in a homemade lemonade but might not be to everyone's taste.

I get anxious if it takes long to wait for a dish during lunch hours, but this is a great place for quick lunch! And somehow I am very into their gnocchi...have been there twice and I ordered the same dish (except the first time I had cheese on top)!! Also tried their lychee & mint shake, which was refreshing!!

So glad to have stumbled upon this place. Best Seafood Marinara Pasta I've had. Came out quickly and I was very happy with the portion size. This dish was super tasty and a good portion of salmon, pipis and mussels. Can't wait to go back and try the pizza. Staff are also friendly and not overbearing.

The vegan bowl with cous cous was fresh and hearty. The sour cabbage and beetroot hummus elevated the taste of otherwise simple dish. The quantity was really good, and was well complemented by quick service.

The truffle pasta is just awful. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was literally plain spaghetti noodle with oil. The truffle oil smelt great but the truffle flavour was completely absent from the taste. At $12 it was also the biggest rip off I have had in the city. But I believe in second chances and have since tried both "Bowl 1" and "Bowl 2". Both are very nice and I would recommend them. At $12 again for takeaway though, their price point is still too high.<br/><br/>Edit: $12 was only an introductory price for the healthy bowls. They are now $15 ($12 for the standard bowl + $3 for choice of protein) and the serving sizes have gotten significantly smaller.

I was a little disappointed that they no longer had marinara on the menu but all good coz I still ended up with the mixed mushrooms pizza minus the cheese and it was so delicious!<br/><br/>Hints of truffle oil and that perfect crust 😍 It was absolutely delightful. I'm a little crazy about mushrooms so it was almost impossible for me not to like it, but even so this is a winner.<br/><br/>You yourself can add chilli flakes, herb oil, chilli oil, lemon oil, some other oil, this, that, etc after you receive your pizza. We just added chili flakes and voila deliciousness! 🍕❤

A food truck worth waiting for. Sure, it may just be pizza you say? But there is something about ordering your pizza from a food truck and watching it being cooked to perfection in the oven, get scooped out fresh and piping warm into the pizza box. Add a dusting of chilli flakes and a dash of chilli oil. Voila! It was an amazing mushroom and truffle oil pizza. Subtle taste of truffle oil, nice smoky edges from being in the oven, thin and crispy pizza base and just the right amount of cheese and a dash of herbs. It did take almost 30 minutes for this but I was happy just exploring the Rocks Aroma Festival anyway. What's the rush when you have a good pizza waiting?

As quoting Naomi in an earlier review, Happy As Larry certainly does make you happy as larry eating one their pizzas (or two). <br/><br/>This food truck does quite well as always wondering why everyone in my office had one in the lunch room. I figured out why when another workmate and I decided to try some of their pizzas. The service is great and upbeat.<br/><br/>Awesome is an understatement to the quality and taste of their pizzas. The menu is constantly changing depending on what produce they have. The toppings are fresh and of very good quality. We had the Pancetta (fontina, fior di late, kipfler potato, english spinach, pino's pancetta) Pizza. The base is incredibly thin and even better was that it held the toppings without being soggy. It was incredibly tasty. Had a Homemade Lemonade to wash it down with. Very refreshing and not too sweet. It was so good we needed to try another pizza. We had the Nutella Calzone. Filled with oozy Nutella, it was served with a generous serving of whipped cream. It is the thinness of the dough that really sets this place apart from a lot of pizzas I have eaten. <br/><br/>Not the cheapest of pizzas but worth the price! A definite must try if they're ever in your area.

Tried these guys at Hills Food Fest. It was the last Sunday night after nearly 20hrs of service and they were still pumping hard. Nutella calzone and pepperoni pizza were both amazing! Good thin base, nice rich tomato sauce and crisp pepperoni 👌

Happy as Larry food truck is a worth while visit. Ensure you check their Facebook page to find out where they'll pop up next. Got a margherita pizza, good base and stopping... Would of expected fresh cherry tomatoes on top which unfortunately wasn't the case

Been meaning to eat out of a food van for ages and finally got the chance with Happy as Larry. It was cool to watch the guys as they made the pizzas. They seem to enjoy what they do. I ordered the mixed mushroom, thin base, not overloaded with toppings. It was that good I devoured the whole thing and didn't feel totally stuffed after.

Happy as Larry does exactly that... Makes you Happy as Larry! I stopped by their food truck yesterday at the MTV Beats & Eats festival and I'm so glad I did! I've been told by a few people that I had to try the mushroom pizza, I'm already Australia's number one mushroom advocate so I didn't take much swaying. The pizza was incredible - fresh and authentic!!! The guys working are enthusiastic, friendly and have serious muscle power (seriously, all their biceps are huge). I washed my pizza down with a delicious homemade lemonade. If Happy as Larry is ever in your area, I definitely recommend stopping by.

Hot Men and Hot pizza. Need i say more. Happy as Larry make damn fine pizzas and drinks and you will certainly feel very satisfied. The pizza bases are crusty and thin and the toppings are delicious. They update their location on instagram so if your feeling like yummy pizza then find where these guys are at and go get a pizza or two!

We got to try Happy As Larry during Parramatta Lanes festival. We had the mushroom truffle pizza and the mint and lychee icy frappe. WOW it did not disappoint. Tasty assagio cheese that has me drooling while I type this. Chew yummy crust whilst being woodfired. Wow it was so good. We loved it.

What happens when you get a shipping container, give it a paint job, pimp it out with neon lights and a crazy sound system and then attach some wheels? I’m guessing an authentic Napolitano pizza food truck wouldn’t be your first guess.

Awesome experience. Happy as Larry is elusive, moving from suburb to suburb. We caught them in Zetland. A team of 6 craft your pizzas based on a set menu, woodfired and made right in front of you. It's hip eating at its finest, music pumping, people chatting all amongst great food.<br/><br/>We tried everything, pick of the bunch was the gamberini pizza, awesome flavours. Nutella calzone was probably one of the best ive tasted.<br/><br/>Shakes are also an interesting twist. Tried watermelon and strawberry, also on the mark. Top night, will need to find them again - a must try.

Happy As Larry was born out of a love pizza and spawned the creation of one beastly food truck. A humble shipping container has been custom fit to house their pizza making business, most importantly a custom wood-fired pizza oven imported from Naples, Italy. Pizza is one of those old age favourites that gets the tongues wagging so a food truck serving traditional Neapolitan woodfired pizza? A sure fire winner! You can find Happy As Larry at their usual Customs House, Circular Quay and Joynton Park, Zetland locations during the week and of course any major events where the food trucks normally roll in. It’s best to check their Instagram , Facebook or Twitter for their location and menu items. Speaking of the menu items, local produce is celebrated and the menu can change but fret not, there’s always a delicious pizza to be had. Mixed Mushroom Pizza – button, swiss brown, oyster, king oyster mushrooms, parsley, fior di latte, cracked pepper and truffle oil $15 The mixed mushroom pizza is my personal favourite and of course a great option for vegetarians. The delightful mix of earthy mushrooms all work pleasantly together on the crispy, slightly charred pizza dough base. I’m not a huge lover of pizza crust but I don’t build mountains of uneaten crusts (you know who you are!) Happy As Larry’s crust is superbly thin and just that right amount of chewy. The pizza isn’t overloaded with mushrooms and cheese to avoid a soggy crust and I’m also glad there isn’t too much truffle oil to overpower the whole dish. The Happy as Larry pizza truck takes a 20’ shipping container and converts it to a fully functioning pizza kitchen. At the heart of this kitchen is a hand built wood fired oven imported from the birthplace of pizza itself, Naples, Italy and specialises in cooking up traditional wood fired Neapolitan style pizzas. So one brisk night with an empty belly and a hunger ready to sell these guys out we followed our noses across Joynton Park, Zetland until we saw the glowing lights and a growing line of hungry patrons.
