Review Rashays - Sydney

Arafath Azeem
This is one of my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is always delicious, and no matter what I order, I am always delighted with my meal! Out of all, buffalo wings and beef ribs was the hightlight. Servers are great and always efficient, happy and polite. Variety of desert options that wouldn't disappoint. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in the Darling Harbour. I'm not a wine person but they have decent options :) Note: They close the kitchen around 10:00-10:15 pm but have listed closing time as 11 pm. I suggest going before 10 pm so that you can stay and enjoy dinner.

Was walking in the cold trying to find a nice restaurant to eat. Rathays at Darling Harbour is well located, clean and plenty of space. We found them to be one of the more “affordable “ restaurants to eat and have a drink. They also have bottomless cold drinks (did not buy but great idea). We went twice back as the food was good, affordable and a good vibe. I can recommend them if ever you are visiting the area.

The best beef ribs ever !!!! The queue was so long but it was so worth it. I and my husband agreed that this is the best beef ribs that we ever had. Mashed potato was perfect, coffee was tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely satisfied and happy. Kept on thinking on coming back even after a week leaving Sydney lol.

Liked it. Foods are okay, and portions are good. Service just standard, nothing special. Value for money. Oh, they don't charge for extra shot of coffee. Good!

Late night out & wanted to eat something so we went to Rashay. Although it was very busy, the staff was very kind & welcoming. We got a table straight away and maybe 30 to 40mns wait but we didn't mind at all & it was worth it. Very very delicious!!

My family and I loved our meals here, the bbq lamb ribs and the pasta were delicious. Large meals and reasonably priced, highly recomend you give this place a try.

Located in secluded place to be honest quite hard to find. Its on lvl 2 harbourside shopping center in the entrance from pyrmont area. Food were great as expected from rashays. Super Clean, tidy and cozy atmosphere staff were really helpful definitely worth trying if you are in the area. Definitely will come back for some pasta and Buffalo wing for lunch. The burger also worth try.

Thank you for holding such an event and displaying such generosity! As always I was impressed with the food and the excellent service! I will definitely be a regular customer for years to come!!!

Cheap and delicious food! I loved the cheesy garlic bread, it was very cheesy, a bigger portion than many other stores would give, which I liked a lot.
The spaghetti was also good and $13, which I thought was quite cheap. I am excited to come again to try more food!

The food and service was excellent! Especially compared to other Rashays I’ve been to. Was very impressed by the staff at Rashays Harbour Side

My son suggested this place for good steak...and plus it was mainly for Halal we decided to eat here.
Good place for all halal people and even the food was good. Atmosphere was good.
Ambience was good
Friendly staff.
Loved the whole experience.

Tried the spicy wings and cheesy garlic bread. The garlic bread was yummy. For the mains tried the fish and chips and beef ribs. The fish and chips were nice but the ribs were dry.The portion sizes are too big.

Tasty food in good quantity.. Definitely value for money.

I would never imagine they use frozen patties for their burgers. They probably buy at some supermarket and charge that ridiculous price.
Also the burger came in a soup of fat and juices. Me and my partner couldn't even hold the thing.
We were disgusted by it and one bite was enough to pay the bill and go home.

Went for breakfast. Friendly, accommodating staff. I had the avo smash minus the egg and fetta, with a double shot soy flat white. Was absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend for brekky!!

Nice ribs, good sauce. Onion rings were my favourite. Very decent amount for the pasta with quite a lot of prawns. Good prices. Service was alright.

Halal. Had an awesome dinner at Rashays with the hubby. He had the wagyu scotch fillet and i ordered the grilled chicken ceasar. Firstly, both dishes were delicious. The serving was huge but it was a bit pricey. Definitely a must go if you want to treat yourself. Highly recommended, if you have money.

Note: Unfortunately Zomato stopped giving 0.5* ... This restaurant would have been rated 3.5...
At the end of 2017, we reviewed Rashays Punchbowl. Shortly after, they decided to revamp their menu and removed one of our favourites: loaded fries. There are a few in the menu that they kept, including chicken with their special sauce. On this occasion, we went to the Darling Harbour restaurant. It is located in a prime spot, but they still face tough competition from the other steak houses around the area. Their biggest differentiation is the fact that their menu is all halal.

Rashay's are very consistent with their quality of food, I've dined in about 4 of their branches and the taste, serving size, service and ambience are always the same and in a good way! They have a good variety of dishes on the menu and it's always a safe bet that you'll get good food if you dine at Rashay's. The prices are quite reasonable, the waiting time varies but is usually decent and the portions are just right- not too large nor too small.

Came here with my workmates for their lunch special. Food wasn’t that great, it was really mediocre. I got the chicken with mushroom sauce. Chicken was pretty dry and the mushroom sauce was super salty. Chicken was like jerky. Overall, the meal was ok, but nothing amazing. I would rate it less stars if it costed more (their dinner menu is super expensive) but for $12.90, I could live with an unsatisfying meal. I’ve kept this at 3 stars as the customer service was good on the other hand. The waitresses were very friendly but it almost seemed like they were being forced to come and ask how everything was going as they were slightly awkward.

I had heard much of Rashays prior to my visit. A huge menu offering many dishes to please all tastes and preferences. I was surprised at how reasonable prices were especially given the location. Its a spacious and casual restaurant and you feel immediately welcomed by the staff. They have colouring in activities for the little people as well as a menu to please them. There were many delicious sounding dishes - from pasta to schnitzel and ribs. On this occasion I got the caesar salad with grilled chicken added and creamy chicken mushroom crepes and a very decadent chocolatey dessert. All were very tasty (a touch salty for my liking), good portions and the chicken very tender and the cake decadent and indulgent. The fries are so crispy and loved it. An enjoyable lunch.

The menu is extensive with a good variety of foods at fair prices and the staff are very friendly. The chicken parmigiana was tender and tasty, and worth the price.

Excellent and warm service on a chilly Friday evening. Good lighting and spacious place to be for a weekend hang out...
The steak and 2 sides were perfect. Mash potatoes perfect!
Service staff mammad was attentive and awsm. Two thumbs up
Had their Lunch Parmy which is basically a schnitzel drowned in cheese (yum) from the lunch specials which was reasonably priced considering the superb quality of the meal. Also, the overhanging decor is lovely.

Rashays darling harbour is excellent to grab a quick lunch or to sit and relax and have chit chat. Food quality is excellent and the sitting area is good too
Well how polite i can be considered last night service at this place . I will give 5 star to Chief because the meals where are well made .
This rating is for staff members who has served me .
It's a knowledge of people who serve as they have taken beer away even that was not finish . Plus when they where serving beer tap they where leaving finger prints all over top of glass where I'm going to put my lips on it . I generally think staff members need re training of service .

Rashays Casual Dining is a chain of stores featured across Sydney. I visited their Harbourside store, which had a lovely vibe and outlook. The staff are super friendly and accommodating!. Personally known for their all rounder foods, they have pizzas, pastas, ribs, burgers, salads, eggs on toast, sweets, special milkshakes and sparkling drinks and more! Really something to please everyone 🙂 Great for family and friends dining together! Delicious RIBS and great range of dishes available... Full Review on my blog!

be prepared to be disappointed the Seaford is extremely cold to the point of off everything is dry and no flavour.
staffs always ignore hard to get service in this place.

Always come for their succulent Beef Ribs. The meat is very tender and grilled to perfection. Comes with crispy french fries and sweet BBQ sauce.

Me and my mum dined in here on 6 Jan, i ordered New York Steak in medium with chips and green veges, with 2 sauce which was dark mushroom and diane sauce and my mum ordered beef pepperoni pizza. Also 2 of the beers and jug of water with ice.

Beer arrives, wasn’t chilled enough, jug of water arrived without ice at all. I ordered glass of ice, but never arrived in 10min so i personally went to bar to get my glass of ice.

Pizza was good, but the steak was the problem. I cut the first bite of the steak, it was cooked as well-done(cannot see any pink layer of the meat at all, eventhough little sparky forked on the steak clearly saying it was MEDIUM), so I also cuts in the middle part of the steak and was also looks bit well-done. I called waiter and told her about the situation, she didn’t do any appology about the issue just took my steak away to ask kitchen to cook it again. Waited about 15min to get my steak again, finally it got right.

But the other part of the drama was I found a hair from the steak sauce (not sure which one was it but don’t think that's important). At the end of the meal staff came to collect plate and I informed her about the hair, she said she will inform the Kitchen and Manager but I don’t think she did.

When I do the payment, HeeJee(think she was the manager on duty) helpes me out with the payment. She said to me “I’m so sorry about the experience you had today, so we are offering you a free 2 cups of coffee for next time visit.” This was it. And the vouchers that she gave was EXPIRED. HAHAHA because of this I’m writing this review. And also she ask me for membership card, but I was a member but didn’t have my membership card with me, so asked my name and contact number. She made a phone call to somewhere and was on the line for couple of minute, and said “Sorry, we couldn’t found any detail.” I was bit confused about what just happen, but I told her not to worry about it.

Thank you very much for all your effort, but you failed clearly.

Sophie

Steak came out in roughly 5 minutes. I could see it had been boiled then thrown on a grill to give the it the markings. Pizza was similar in taste to a McCain frozen pizza. Was disappointed as I heard good things about Rashays however my partner was referring to a different franchise. The table next to us also had a chicken burger that was raw in the middle.

Very Poorly managed. Few Issues:

- We called and booked a table beforehand for our group. When we got there there was nothing available, our group had to split up and sit on two different tables.

- One of the persons in our group had to order food three times. They just forgot her order twice. She got her food after everyone else on the table had already finished

- They were giving out coupons for free one drink to everyone on the door. We ordered the drinks and waitress confirmed that the drinks with the meal are free. When We we paid for the food, the person on checkout asked for the coupons, when were on the table and were already cleaned up. He wouldn't honour that.

Despite of all that I would have given a good score if the food was good. Food was very average. We ordered chicken Schnitzel, which, on my plate was only slightly bigger than a nugget. Because of it being lunch 'special' i guess :)

I absolutely ADORE steak!! But I can’t say this was the best I’ve tasted. The flavours were interesting and there was a slight sweetness to it that I didn’t like. However the “chippies” were cooked to perfection. One let down though was they became soggy from the jus of the 300g meat. The mushroom sauce was a bit thin for liking but it tasted natural which is always good. Would recommend for family and friend outings. 😁

Very family friendly restaurant at Harbourside shopping centre with an “Aussie pub” style menu with a heavy focus on steaks, chicken and burgers. Good for big groups and reasonably well priced for the location. Our group had many chicken parmas, grilled chickens and chicken schnitzels - all at 11am so pretty happy with the quality and speed of service.

This is a nice restaurant in the Harbourside shopping centre for group dinners. The service is friendly and the food is average but satisfying enough. I liked the schnitzel fettuccine which is a combination that is very indulgent and delicious. I also liked the chicken crepes which were flavoursome and nicely cooked.

The menu is huge. Good quality, reasonable price, fast and friendly service.
New York Steak came with onion rings. Steak was juicy and delicious. Salad was fresh and tasty. Grilled prawns on Surf and Turf is not to be missed.
I definitely get back to try other options.

Variety of foods in menu. I enjoyed Having Spinach Pesto Fettuccine for $10 on Monday deal. The coke was huge. The waiters are nice and friendly.

I visited this place yesterday. The restaurant was busy and we waited about 10 minute to get a table. The service was very friendly and professional. The medium steak was juicy and met my expectation. Creamy sauce was tasty. The coke is huge and Lychee cocktail is not to be missed. I recommend this place :)

Ordered the chicken parmigiana and the chicken burger. Although the Parmi was 10.00 and 14.00 for the burger lunch special. It was laid out like a typical cheap takeaway joint. Chicken was not tender it was a little dry. Presentable but not visually impressed. Add some Vegetables or salad so it doesn't seem so 'deep fried' Edible but Disappointed
Ellieeee
Food here is generally pretty pricey - hence why their food has above average quality. Except the steak! - asked for a medium well done but got extremely well done meat..? Wouldn't want a steak the next time I visit

I visited Rashays @ Darling Harbour last night with my girlfriend. Many options in menu to choose. Pizza, Pasta, Steak and chicken.

We sat at the last table near to window with Harbour view. The friendly waitress showed us their Monday offer which was a range of Pizza and Pasta for $10 which is available for Rashay's members and offered us free membership on the spot to be able to order from that menu.

I ordered Chicken Pasta while my girlfriend tried lasagna with a side chips and a Coke. We were surprised with receiving a big glass of coke. The pasta was cooked perfectly and lasagna taste was great. The desert menu looks attractive but we were so full to order. Definitely I will try desert on my next visit.
We paid $32.5 after the Monday discount which was very cheap.

Took my friends from overseas to Rashay's for lunch. We have a table quickly and the waitresses are very attentive and lovely.

Grilled chicken ceasar salad with "homemade" sauce is ordinary. The slow-cooked pork ribs are soft and succulent in BBQ sauce.

The surf and turf, or sirloin on the other hand, is as tough as rubber. The medium steak turns out very dry and tasteless, not worth $37.

Rashay's already has good customer service, what left to be done is to improve chef's cooking skills.

Went with a mate. Ordered bruschetta with haloumi, chilli prawn fettuccine, and the steak and rib combo.

Haloumi was rubbery. I had a mocha frappe whilst my mate had a coffee frappe.

My mates had more chocolate, and I didn't even get coffee. Got a chocolate milkshake concoction.

Ordered rare steak, and got the 'rare' flag on it, so they knew.
But it was cooked medium rare side.

My mate got the wrong pasta and even then it wasn't enjoyable.

Knew we'd be wasting time to try the dessert.

It's just too bad hurricanes had too long a wait or else this place would never get anyone..

.. on a bright note service was good and the ribs were great and soft off the bone.
P

Attentive staff and large servings, I tried the 300G New York with chips and salad (pic below). I wouldn't say it's one of the better steaks however it was ok and I'll leave it at that. Despite asking for medium rare, mine ended up in the medium range so wasn't too happy. The chips were tasteless so they need to switch to a better brand and the mushroom sauce had a strong wine taste? The salad was good so I would rate this 2.5-3/5 given it was decently priced.

Enjoyed their battered flathead with 2 sides (we got chips and side salad). The flathead fillet was crunchy on the outside but fillet still soft in inside and is very tasty. I love their creamy tartar sauce which is not too sour. Side salad is ok too with generous serving of cheese. Chips is not so good though looks like it is not freshly cooked anymore.

Their angus beef lasagna is also good, not too salty and not too many spices. The lasagna noodles were perfectly baked with generous amount of mozarella and parmesan cheese.

Margherita pizza is also has a generous amount of cheese and with just the right amount of tomato sauce and herbs.

Looking forward to try the other meals on the menu (pasta, meats and desserts).
