Review Little Turtle Thai Restaurant - Sydney

Wow, the restaurant is amazing. The staff is friendly, the decor and ambience are nice and the food is to die for. Everything was perfect. Sadly we were too full to try any of the deserts. The dishes are presented beautifully. My absolute favourite was the braised eggplant which was juicy and covered in thick batter and delicious sauce. I was eating the leftovers for breakfast the next day and it was still yummy.

I was impressed by how much I enjoyed this Vegan food. As a non-vegan I was not sure if I would like many things on the menu, but after looking at the menu I think I would be happy to try any of the items on the menu. The dishes that we ordered were delicious and I would definitely go back to try more.

Such a great Thai vegan restaurant. The interior setting is nice and cosy. Food is delicious and well presented. Staffs are super friendly. Will definitely come back to try more dishes.

Went in for a late lunch, had some computer work to do with my laptop asked for a bigger table, even though the place was empty and no one came during our visit we were still denied a bigger table. The staff were very unaccomodating. Had to finish my work in the car. Food was excellent though. Improve your customer service.

The food is absolutely delicious. I can feel that were cooked freshly. It is a very good recommendation for the vegans.

We had an amazing dinner at the Little Turtle on a Saturday evening. The place was packed, so we were glad we had booked a table. This was a completely vegan experience, and as the dishes kept rolling out we were astonished at how good everything tasted. The absence of animal-based ingredients was not missed at all - the flavours and textures of the food were incredible. The crispy fried tofu salad was heavenly combined with the tangy dressing. All the Thai flavours you love are dialled up to 11 in this place - and the quote of the night from our table was "This food is ****ing unbelievable!". Highly recommended!! (Note: Parking nearby can be a challenge, best to use an Uber/cab unless you enjoy a good walk!)

We came here for lunch during the week. They were opened during the Christmas / New year period which was great because most places had closed. There were just two of us that came in for lunch. We were seated near the front. The interior is nice except for the soft drinks and boxes of takeaway containers in front near the toilets. We ordered a Holy Basil stir fry with the coconut rice and the Pad See Eew as well. The Stir Fry came out first and then I wanted 10 minutes for the Pad See Eew to come. By the time we waited for the other dish to arrive the first dish had gone cold. I sat there watching the meals get placed on the counter ready to be taken to the table. I could see the Pad See Eew and got up and went to take it to my own table, so we didn’t have to wait for someone to grab it. I was told to sit down, and someone would bring it. We waited for someone to bring it to the table. There was about a half an hour wait to get food to the table, we only ordered two meals. A table of 8 who sat next two us who ordered just before us got their entrees and mains before we got our meals. They ran out of space and started putting their dishes it on the seat next to them. Ideally, they should of sent out their entrees then served our mains next. The food was delicious, the timing of dishes is off and if you’ve got a half hour lunch break, you’ll be late back to work. The service is friendly though. Also two out of four checks specials were unavailable. We also told the staff that they had ran out of toilet paper twice and they did nothing to replace it.

Beautifully presented, tasty and healthy food - and lovely atmosphere too. I love the Caramelised eggplant panang curry dish - so delicious! Highly recommend this lovely local restaurant!

Delicious meals at a good price point! Thouroughly enjoyed the friendly service and thought out dishes - definitely different than your run of the mill Thai place. Highly recommended and will be definitely returning.

The Little Turtle Thai Restaurant was packed to the gills when we visited on a friend's strong recommendation, so strong in fact they came with us! The food at the Little Turtle was both aesthetically pleasing with a colourful array of edible flowers adorning many dishes and the flavour was something else. Rich and fulfilling but not overbearing. Standouts from the night include The Grilled Caramelised Eggplant in Panang Curry, Sticky Sesame Wings and The Mushroom Toast. As mentioned before the restaurant was very busy so there was a bit of a wait, however I'm more than willing to wait as it is definitely worth it to me. The Little Turtle may have just become my favourite Vegan restaurant in Sydney.

Food is amazing and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was busy which is a great sign, however this seemed to have a detrimental impact on the service. After asking for wine glasses a couple of times I ended up getting them myself. The rice was delivered to our table but not the mains, which arrived 20 mins later after following up. But only one main course arrived, the other main never appeared. With that said it hasn’t put me off from visiting again.

Truly a fantastic restaurant with great hospitality and delicious food. Definitely would recommend!

Incredible Thai vegan food. This place is seriously amazing and fantastic service.

Food was very quality and creative... not your usual ‘order by number’ Thai, also very well presented. However was somewhat disappointed with lemongrass ginger tea, expected good loose leaf but only received teabag in tepid water. That front section of the restaurant would make great tea & dessert shop. :)

Great customer service and an amazing interior. You have to check this place out!

Amazing food

The blue butterfly fried rice and pancake dumpling was delicious, dont order the phat thai as they are not rice noodles, chilli could be spicier but the tom yum soup was really flavourful.

Tried several dishes from the truffle menu and was a little disappointed. Truffle pieces were small, thin and barely tasted like anything. Their insta pic of the truffle jaffle definitely had larger pieces in it and was golden brown in colour. Perhaps it was nearing end of season and they were saving up the truffle stock?

One of the best vegan thai restaurants in Sydney. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, but more than make up for it in flavour and taste. Great place for small groups. Good service as well. Decent pricing.

Let’s start with the negatives. They didn’t have my booking, called up to make a booking and I don’t know what happened. Lucky there was a space for our group. Also portion sizes aren’t as big as i expected. Also the names on the menu, it’s not what your expecting to get. For example pad se ew wasn’t noodles that you expect but rather rice noodles in small blocks. The intriguing noodles came out looking like a big sushi roll.
Also you can’t park out front, you will need to walk a little

The positives the food is yum! Everything is nice we tried and the pineapple fried rice looks insta worthy. They have a nice outdoor courtyard. The food came out at a reasonable time. Service friendly! Vegetarians and non vegetarians will be happy coming here

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Not sure if the staff was happy too see 10 of us show up with out a reservation at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Taking 1 star out for somewhat ok ok customer service.

Will recommend the cauliflower wings and the eggplant curry.

Delicious food! There is no doubt that the restaurant has a great ability to make a tasty and creative flavours.
We orderded the Arancini, masaman potatoes and cashew nuts, they were all fantastic with different and very interesting flavours.
It should be noted that the vegetables in the cashew nuts are a bit row so you love your veggies well cooked maybe you should consider other dish.
Highly recommended!

This restaurant is amazing! The food was soooo delicious! we left totally stuffed and happy. sticky sesame wings are divine. the complicated noodles were a surprise - basically a rice paper summer roll with lovely tempeh. the caramalised eggplant panang curry was brilliant too!

Little Turtle's starters and light meals are a refreshing change to the standard asian menus. While it does offer familiarity with stir fries, fried rice and noodles; the flavours are big and bold, leaving you craving for more.I ordered the most popular dishes; sticky sesame wings and the holy basil stir fry. Both dishes were fresh, hearty and oozing in flavour!

The savoury cauliflower wings have an addictive edamame vibe to it. It's hard to stop eating! And while I'm not big on tofu, the stir fry delivered on all the other points. The fresh veggies amplified the flavour of the stir fry and the base sauce had 'slurp me up' written all over it.

Amazing little hidden gem! Food is amazing. The puff sticks and sticky buffalo wing starters are a must! Tried the pad see ew and eggplant panang too! Highly recommend. The presentation is amazing and the staff are super lovely!
Little turtle Thai is an inviting restaurant with a whole menu full of plant based dishes. Unfortunately the service here is not great. We had to wait over 20 minutes before someone took down our order. The food is good and presented quite nicely. We particularly liked the dumplings and the eggplant Penang curry. This restaurant has potential but they fall short with their inconsistent service.

I dined here on a Sunday night with a friend. We had a table inside the nook towards the back of the restaurant which also had two other tables. For starters, we ordered the red curry "arancini". The flavours were nice and the sauce had a good hit of spice. Unfortunately it is a bit misleading to call it "arancini" when it doesn't have rice or something that more closely resembles cheese. For main I had the eggplant penang curry with jasmine rice. It was a generous portion but I thought the dish would have other vegetables in it as well so it ended being quite a lot of eggplant for one person. Unfortunately the service was a bit off. The food took 45 minutes to come out and my friend got his dish 15 minutes after I did. I also found it quite expensive for what it was.

Vegan Thai Restaurant.

Venue:
You can see right to kitchen through big glass window.
Love the back yard sitting, but tend to be a little dark on some spots.

Service:
Good friendly casual service.

Food & Drink:

Red Curry Arancini:
I fell in love at the first bite!
Love the flavour combination, pumpkin, tofu, shallot and coriander, rolled into a ball and breadcrumbed, served with Siracha Mayo.

Lil T share plate:
Love the presentation!
The best part is tofu!

Dessert:
Ginger Bua Loy
Rice dumpling, filled with black sesame,
Bring back old childhood memories, served with ginger syrup.
It’s perfect dessert to finished great meal, not too sweet and not too heavy!

really cute menu! i tried their food at the Night Noodle Markets. The sticky sesame wings - fried cauliflower in a sweet soy sauce was AMAZING I could’ve eaten buckets of that stuff, and it wasn’t overly greasy. The mushroom toast was also amazing and had a very good mix of flavours.

An amazing vegan restaurant with Thai flavours. Located near Enmore this place gets really busy on weekends so make sure you book. Top picks is the rice noodle rolls, Tom yum soup, dumplings, coconut curry and the pineapple fried rice. Great flavours and awesome place to enjoy vegan food.

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant, it is truly delicious and an interesting menu. I have been going every week since it opened, and I really wish I could give it 5 stars.

At the moment though, the service varies quite a lot - it is always very friendly, but I have sometimes waited over an hour for my food to arrive, with dishes arriving at various times, not all together. One evening we received our entrees and mains all at the same time, which was a bit overwhelming and felt like a waste - they couldn't all fit on the table either!. Last week I arrived at 7:30 and our food didn't arrive until after 9.

I really hope they can work on this as this restaurant has a lot of potential!

Delicious food, service efficient and polite. Restaurant ambience was welcoming and cute. Cost was very reasonable. It was BYO too which is always a winner. Will be coming back.

I’ve been to Little Turtle twice and both times have been really impressed by the flavour of the food, the amazing service and the decor at this place

I feel like all the items that I ordered was really well balanced with flavours and it’s so amazing to see a full vegan menu with so much variety and creativity in the menu. The items which I’ve got from here and would highly recommend are:
The puff sticks which have a delicious vegetable filling and a puff pastry outer shell.
The sticky sesame wings: these have the most delicious sauce on the outside with a crunchy outer coating
The eggplant Penang curry: both times I’ve been here, I ordered this. Definitely get some roti to dip into the curry sauce (it’s that good)!

I feel like the atmosphere of this place is so beautiful as well. The service was quick and all the staff were very friendly. You can see the time that went into creating the space and the thought behind every detail in the restaurant.

Will definitely be back again!

Really wish I could rate 3.5 stars...

The bad news first: they really need to work out communicating how and where to order. The service between ordering, seating and waitress seemed really disjointed - like each section didn’t really know what the other was doing. Lastly this probably contributed to the almost 20 minute wait for our lunch when we were the only order up!

The good news: the food was really good! If I didn’t have my 2yr old whining in hunger it would have been an easier wait, and didn’t totally make up for it.... but, I would come back considering the fresh, bold flavours of the pad see eew and the unique ‘puff sticks’, basically curry puffs fresh made and delicious.

There is ample seating and a decent size menu. I could easily return for dinner.

been curious of this restaurant cause it serves Thai’s food with vegan ingredients, and it turned out FABULOUS, great foods, fell in love with the green curry, nice vibes, friendly customer service, and last but not least all the foods are Instagrammable! Haha will go back there for sure! Superb

Food was good but overpriced. My food was served first while my friend waited 15 minutes before his was brought to the table. Hopefully just teething problems for a new restaurant. For the price I hope they increase serving sizes!
