Repas incroyable et service impeccable !!!!!!
Le Monde is just wonderful Food Service Setting we have been a number of times it never lets you down
The food here is amazing! The matcha pancakes, the crunch potato rosti and the roasted sweet potato vege bowl were delicious and full of flavour! I’ll definitely be back again to try other dishes, especially their sandos. The staff were super friendly and their wait times reasonable
Roasted Sweet Potato Salad : 😍 Amazing
Matcha Pancakes : 😍 Amazing
Potato Rosti : 😍 Amazing
Coffee : 😍 Amazing
I absolutely loved coming here. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, everything was great! The waiter was friendly and great with customer service. The atmosphere was rustic and the food was to die for. Presentation alone for the dishes were stunning but the flavours were absolutely bang on. The marinade of the tofu in the sweet potato salad was hypnotising. The matcha in the Pancakes was not too overpowering and paired well with the coffee coconut syrup shot. The potato Rosti was crispy and fluffy and the egg was poached perfectly. Highly recommended and would 100% return again!
Good service. Food had plenty of flavours. Coffee is also nice and creamy.
The sweet potato salad had plenty of flavour and ingredients were well balanced at a good serving size. The Potato Rosti and Matcha hot cakes are a must as many reviews have already shown. They are both delicious, perfect for the either sweet tooth or for those who love their savory like me!
Amazing new menu,enjoyed a wonderful morning 😋
Solid cafe serving up their twist on breakfast classics. Try the fritters here, they are top notch. The coffee is also excellent. Great variety on the menu for this that need a bite on the go or for those who have time to sit down and enjoy the start to their day
Quaint café in Surry Hills serving Modern Australian dishes, Le Monde Café is the perfect location for your next adventure. This café plays host to those passing through for their morning, businessmen and women having meetings and people like myself looking for a great feed.
I ordered, with recommendations from the staff, the Bircher Muesli (v) ($12), Truffled Poached Eggs (v, gfo) ($16), Crunchy Potato Rosti (gf) ($16) and Matcha Hot Cakes (v) ($16) as well as Mixed Berries and Dates protein shake ($8.50), Coconut and Almond protein shake ($8.50), Mango Smoothie ($7) and a Create Your Own drink ($6).
The bircher muesli was an exceptional dish with a creamy yoghurt accented by the tartness of the fresh fruit and spiced poached pear. This was my favourite dish of the day and I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting.
Of all the dishes, the matcha pancakes had me the most excited having seen so many people post photos of them on Instagram. In my opinion, the matcha flavour didn't sit far forward on the palate as I would have liked and there was more of a chocolate than matcha taste. In saying that, it was a pleasant dish though probably not what is described on the menu.
The truffled poached eggs and crunchy potato rosti were also lovely dishes and typically what you would expect from a café.
Protein drinks were thick and creamy and I particularly enjoyed the mixed berry and dates protein shake. The coconut and almond was a little one-dimensional for my liking but might be pleasing to those who just need a palate-cleanser. The mango smoothie had a prominent mango flavour and would be a great accompaniment to any meal. If you'd prefer a customised drink there is also the option to mix and match with the Create Your Own drink option. For my customised drink, I chose orange, watermelon, pineapple and mint which was super tasty and added a bright pop of colour to the table.
Overall, Le Monde Café does a really good job at delivering sweet dishes and covers the basic café foods well. In future, I would love to revisit to try their Vanilla Chia Pudding (ve) ($12) as they had run out by the time I got there which was around 11am.
As always, my thanks to Milk and Butter Media and Le Monde Café for the invite.

Get invited from my besties to eat here. We ordered their matcha hot cakes, truffle egg benedict , potato Rosti and Bircher muesli.
The hot cakes is good but doesn’t have strong matcha flavour. The truffle egg benedict legit with strong truffle flavour. Potato rosti too thick for me because I prefer the crispy thin rosti :) but it’s nice. The Bircher muesli is one of my fav!! The combination just perfect! Cynthiaeats_

It’s not very often you find a menu where every single dish is a winner!! We wanted to try the White Chia Pot with almond milk, banana, pawpaw, pistachios and passionfruit, but unfortunately they sold out early that morning. Gotta get up early and get in fast!
Le Monde is such a cool looking place with an amazing atmosphere, great food and cocktails. loved our night out here thanks to the attentive staff, next time will need to stay over in their awesome looking rooms!
Lovely Cafe in Surry Hills not far from central station. Everything on the menu looked pretty nice and all my friends ended up getting the potato Rosti. Coffee was good except I wish they did filtered coffee/batch brew as well.
My French toast was so soft and in between the bread sheets there is this layer of custard or whatever and it was super!! It had everything that I ever wished for, creamy custardy bready sweet fluffy fruity and savoury (I added bacon on the side xD) my goodness bacon was so good, perfectly cooked and not too salty. Definitely add the bacon on side, they gave me like 4-5 long pieces of bacon wow so generous so worth it 👌 coffee was good, everyone else liked their dishes too.
Great food, the Eggs Benny was awesome, the chai latte was made with loose leaf tea. Great Cafe to enjoy a meal
French toast was amazing, and coffee alright, however, I came at a very busy time so it took >40minutes for my order to arrive and servers were quite curt.
Fantastic cafe in Surry Hills. Food and coffee was delicious and really good value, and the staff were friendly.
This café situated in the heart of Surry Hills. Only a 5-10 minutes walk from the train station (central)
The café is known for their delicious matcha lattes, in my case it’s a Soy Latte I always order, super yummy!! 🍵🍵
The food was also delicious, I have ordered a few different dishes. Please see pictures in this review.
The customer service was great, they were attentive as soon as we walked in.
They seated us down inside and served us immediately as soon as we were ready to order our food, we didn’t have to wait too long to get served.
Perfect for a quick lunch with a friend during work hours. The service was super quick.
Had the chai and potato rosti with salmon. I love them both.
Came here to try their signature hotcakes. Was not disappointed. The stand-out for me with the dish was the intense espresso syrup. Very unique! Unfortunately could not finish the dish by myself due to the big portions! Matcha taste is not as prominent but it's there. Highly recommended for those seeking pancakes/hotcakes with that roasted/toasted twist to it.
