Review Rossini At The Quay - Sydney

C Mac
Basically overpriced due to location and not a real quality establishment. I know everyone is sick of banging on about covid but these people took no precautions on terms of vaccination checks etc which is disappointing. The food was nice enough and we played it safe with pasta. I had the special and my daughter had tortellini. The service was good but one waitress and questionable by the other. The weekend surcharge would have had me go elsewhere if I'd seen the fine print earlier - maybe try that if people are fighting to get in the place but this place is regularly half empty but now I know why! Verdict - nice enough but opt for elsewhere if you're looking for more bang for your buck and a better experience.

Garlic bread was served on a coffee cup plate, water In plastic cup not glass, bug on the wall, food was very bland and tasted like a microwave meal. Pancakes were very doughy and not eatable. Not a good place don’t recommend it here.

Had a good quality & tasty breakfast. Really good & taste good. Staff are friendly & nice too. Bit expensive but loved the whole experience. Mario was a friendly & a fun person

“Can I have some more Parmesan cheese with the pasta?” “How many person do you want?“ Interesting customer service to say the least. The food came out fast. Not busy, may be the others read the reviews before deciding to sit down whilst we did not. Lesson learnt. Right below the train station and immediately opposite wharf 6, great location. Additional surcharge for weekend regardless of public holiday.

Medium rare steak came out medium well, staff didn’t seem to care, all I was told was “okay” and was given a weird look. Won’t be returning, and I recommend you don’t visit either

When the pasta comes out within 5 minutes, you have got to wonder wether or not it is fresh or not. In truth, it was rather a small portion for $27. However, it was tasty, if a bit oily. The glass of Shiraz was awful, and the weekend surcharge, topped the bill to make unreasonable experience.

When I sat down within first minutes was asked twice if I was ready to order food when I had barely flipped through menu. Waited over an hour for food and had to check up on food twice. Asked for chicken salt on fries from waitress and when food was bought out the waiter said the restaurant didn’t have chicken salt in a rude manner before returning later on to say the fries already had chicken salt. As someone who has trained staff in hospitality, the staff here are exceptionally under trained , inexperienced and rude.

Dinner was beautiful. We both enjoyed our meals and we’d Eat here again.

I’m convinced these pizzas are frozen and then just reheated. Same consistency as a frozen $2 pizza you buy from Aldi. And had ordacity to charge $25 for a small mini pizza wouldn’t feed two people .

First cafe in Australia that I know of that don’t serve water to client because we only order 2 paid drinks while the other 2 guests only wish to drink plain water. When we ask why, the older waiter said he has given us a table for 4 not 2... great hospitality and customer service skill Rossini Cafe Sydney. This will never happen in other Australian cities’ cafe.

Went here long time ago, food was okay but the view was stunning. You can see both the bridge and Sydney opera house especially if you’ve seated on upstair. We had lasagna, marinara and salad. Price average above $20 each cause it’s located on touristy place.

We enjoyed the food immensely. My veal pizziaola was tender and very delicious. My wife’s chicken with mushroom and cream sauce was also fabulous. It took some prompting to get drink refills and the check.

Maybe a new barista. 2 coffees both undrinkable<br/>Food was ok but nothing special.
Vladimir Shvedov
Avoid this place by all means! Food is below average and badly overpriced! Never going back there. Two dishes listed differently in menue turned out to be almost the same.

Loved the food here.<br/>Pizza and chips were fresh and cannoli was a lovely end to the meal.<br/>Service was also really good.<br/>The waiter found out it was my birthday so made me a rose out of foil.<br/>They also made me a hot chocolate out of nutella which was delicious!<br/>The wait wasn't very long and the serving sizes were quite generous.<br/>Literally right outside Circular Quay station so is super easy to get to via public transport.
Tanya
Very nice location even though the decor is average. Went here for a quick coffee and dessert and was extremely unsatisfied with what they called a vanilla cannoli. It was stale.
Cinntonic
The cannoli really was good and you can pick 2 of the 3 fillings if you like. We went for coffee and cake whilst waiting for a ferry; served its purpose with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and we appreciated that they were upfront about needing the table in 45mins if we weren't having lunch... worked just fine for us and we didn't feel unwelcome at all.

Good experience at Rossini Cafe. My family and I took a chance with this restaurant after taking a break on the Big Bus Sydney tour. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. There were a few birds in the area but they weren’t too annoying. The menu had a variety of items in which each person could find something that may agree with their palate. <br/><br/>I had the fish n’ chip which wasn’t too greasy and was good, my husband had a steak sandwich which was quite tasty, & the kiddo had spaghetti bolognese that’s she was happy with and left an empty plate. I also had a cannoli for desert and I’m not too sure what it is supposed to taste asI’m not a pastry person but it was okay. <br/><br/>Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the service at Rossini’s.

Before traversing the harbour en route to our Zoo trip at the other side of Sydney, we took a light lunch stop here at Rossini Cafe. It is a stone throw away from Wharf 4 where we will dock. This cafe serves authentic Italian with pasta and pizzas as their specialty. <br/><br/>We got two of their golden brown, well-seasoned and not so greasy Calamari for our starter. I suggest sprinkling it with fresh lemon for some zesty taste. <br/><br/>For pizzas, we got two 10 inch pans, a Ham & Pineapple, a personal favorite simple combination and Capricciosa, a house best seller. The latter was even better with its packed toppings of ham, olives, mushrooms, and artichokes on mozzarella and Napolitana tomato sauce. The dough was just perfect, crispy on its outside yet still giving a fluffy bite. <br/><br/>This cafe also serves a classic bottle of coke and the usual list of Italian coffee.

I've been to this café several times while being in the area. The food is always delicious and the service is prompt. <br/>But, this café has a massive plus that I have not ever noticed at any other cafe / restuarant in Sydney. I have eaten all over Sydney cbd and around Sydney its self. <br/>This is a huge bonus EXCELLENT SOLID TABLES! !!<br/>EVER TRIED YOUR BEST TO HOLD DOWN THE LEG OF A TABLE OR NOTICED CARDBOARD SHOVED UNDER A LEG OF A TABLE <br/>extremely annoying, frustrating, yes! Spilt drinks <br/>Yes your paying for this do you really like@ it <br/>Does this happen do you really like rocking tables <br/>We'll I can say i would rather spend my time any day at Rossini cafe because it has excellent food a brilliant view and solid tables.<br/>So just remember, has it happened to you!

Worst service ever. Bruschetta was just tomato. Where was the oil and basil??? Pretty sure bruschetta is supposed to contain these key ingredients. Price wow, what a bloody rip off. I don't mind paying these prices if service and food suit. Asked why bruschetta was just chopped tomato, was greeted by extreme rudeness and arrogance and no explanation. Then was hit with a 10 % surcharge, I thought to my self oh it must be a public holiday then realised it was just a weekend. What a joke. <br/>

Great location right on the waterfront at Circular Quay - the perfect place to sit and watch Sydney go by, taking in the views on the Harbour Bridge while having something to eat.  We stopped by for coffee and afternoon tea on our visit to Sydney.  Stepping into the cafe was like being transported into old school Italy!  Service was good and the menu looked like it had all the Italian hits.  We tried the panacotta, which was presented beautifully and tasted light and smooth -perfect for a hot Sydney afternoon.  Perhaps being a Melburnian, I am overly sensitive to coffee - however, the coffee wasn't to my liking (burnt too).  Overall, I'd say this is a pretty solid establishment - a taste of Italy on Circular Quay.

Staying in a hotel nearby with the kidlets we decided it was pizza night. I found it quite difficult to find a pizza joint that was kid friendly so we decided to try Rossini. Big big mistake. This restaurant has not changed in service or furnishings since the 1980's!<br/>No money has been spent and it shows. <br/> <br/>We ordered baby calamari, margarita and supreme pizza. To start the pizza is quite small. Maybe slightly larger than a small pizza. So on average about 4 decent size slices. The base was thinish but very crusty almost like eating pita bread. I would assume they don't make there own bases.<br/>The topping on the supreme pizza was just awful. The salami & sasuage looked overcooked and not fresh. Just real nasty looking. Not much in toppings either. The pizza's at pizza Hut or domino's are probably better than this place.<br/>Prices here are expensive but that's what you expect eating right on the quay but what I do expect is good quality food that we definitely did not recieve. <br/>Give this place a miss! <br/>

I am surprised that why is this place under rated. The place is well situated with some great food. Most of the times Italian places doesn't have good veg options but to my surprise, this place offered offered several veggies. We decided to have a veg pizza and Rossini eggplant which was outstanding. The only drawback is the place is highly expensive.<br/>Ambience - 4.5/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Value for Money - 2/5<br/>

I'm surprised this place has such bad reviews. T be honest the service was good and the food was decent. I don't need to mention the view because we all know how nice that is. But it is a little pricy !
Grumbleguts
It is often the case that cafes and resterarunts in prominent locations care little about service and food quality. <br/>Rossinis is such a place. Over $50 for 2 x eggs on toast and 2 coffees. Apparently a 10% surcharge on a saturday morning.<br/>We could have almost lived with this if the food had any taste. Which it didnt.
Mayhabuoi Bry
Staff seemed to dislike anyone who comes in after 10pm 😢 Their actions made us feel unwelcome. With frowns and cutleries making extra crisp sound on our table as they "place" our orders.
Melisa Lewins
Like the majority of the clientele on the morning I ate, I was heading off on a cruise - so Cafe Rossini was a convenient place to grab breakfast before boarding time.  The coffee was good - well made and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient - so that's always a good thing!<br/><br/>The scrambled eggs, tomato and toast I had was okay - a decent sized serve - but nothing to write home about.  About the same as the scrambled eggs I make at home.  I did at the time think it was expensive for what it was, but in hindsight - Sydney/Circular Quay - so it was probably not overly expensive at all.<br/><br/>Would I eat here again - perhaps.
Ida Carlini
We turned up at 11.00 only to be told by the very rude waitress that they had stopped cooking breakfast and that we had to buy from the lunch menu. So we just ordered 2 coffee and 2 shakes. $27 dollars later - that's the dearest non breakfast I have ever had. Don't bother with this one <br/>
Monks
Service was terrible! Waitresses standing around and chit chatting not paying attention. Food was amazing though! Your reaply paying for the location but i think its overpriced. Points are for the food only!
Susan
We had breakfast here one morning when visiting Sydney recently.  I had a very tasty omelette, but the place is pricey.  You are paying for the location, and it is a lot of fun to sit and watch the world go by, the ferries come in and out, and enjoy the relaxation.

I am appalled that this cafe is still in business.<br/>During our travels around Sydney and the Gold Coast we ate out for every meal. <br/>Until our visit to Rossino this evening we had always had outstanding food and exemplary service. <br/>Being our last night in Sydney we wanted somewhere really nice to round off a fantastic trip to Australia. <br/>While strolling around Circular Quay we spotted Rossini and liking the sound of their menu we decided to dine there.<br/>The staff were not friendly, but rather, made us feel that we were an inconvenience.<br/>I ordered a drink from the menu and was told quite abruptly that they didn't have any, (which is fine as I know this can sometimes happen), so I ordered water. <br/>I asked to have quite a bit of water as, with the unaccustomed heat, I was incredibly thirsty.<br/>We were then presented, (wordlessly), with a small glass 2/3 full of tap water.<br/>I thanked the waiter but asked if I could have a jug or bottle of water. I was told quite pointedly that they don't have jugs. I again said I was very thirsty and asked if I could have some more water, a really large glass of water. Making no comment he turned away and proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening. <br/>There was no apology that they had run out of that beverage or any attempt to see if there was any other drink that would do instead.<br/>There was just this attitude portrayed that made me feel that I was wasting his time asking for water. <br/>Another staff member then wordlessly delivered a bread roll each to myself and my husband. We couldnt break them open & could hardly get a knife through to cut them. They were totally dried out. Not being familiar with Italian food we had a bit of a laugh and wondered if perhaps it was an Italian way of baking them. Because we were already feeling awkward we never mentioned anything about them, although at that stage we did discuss between ourselves about cancelling our order and just paying for the rolls and my husbands drink.<br/>The meal itself when it arrived (again, delivered almost wordlessly) was lovely.<br/>My husband had the Atlantic Salmon and I had the Mushroom Chicken.<br/>As a waitress passed by I went over and asked if I could possibly have another glass of water. She refilled my glass (without speaking to us) and we were left with the impression that we were being a nuisance. We were never approached during the meal to see if our meals were all right or if we would like something else. The attitude of the staff was noticed by a lovely couple, (also tourists), at the next table who commented to us that what was happening was disgraceful. They said they weren't given bread rolls but that they shouldn't be hard.<br/> We have never had to complain about a meal before until tonight but, with a %10 surcharge because it was a Sunday, we felt that we should rightly give feedback about the substandard service.<br/>The attitude of the staff member who was processing our payment, (who happened to be the one who refused to bring my water), <br/>was rude and extremely unprofessional. <br/>He wanted to know "what my problem was, I got a glass of water everytime I asked for one didn't I?"<br/>We were shocked by his comments and his rudeness to us, both during the meal and when we politely, but firmly, gave our negative feedback.<br/>The bread rolls? We finally did ask about them and were told by the waitress that they aren't always wanted by the customers and as they aren't baked each day they can sometimes be sitting out. (Which we actually saw when we were leaving!!!)<br/>Come on now guys, you are meant to be providing the public with a service and if you don't have a passion for customer service and a desire to help your employer prosper in his/her business then I suggest you look for another career. It was only a large glass of water that I asked for after all.<br/>A little bit of respect and courtesy to your customers is a 'no brainer'. We have not had a situation where we have ever had to make a complaint about service before and are not argumentative people so I know the treatment and response that we received was totally uncalled for. Please in the future, put a bit of thought into the way you carry out your job and the impact it has on your employers reputation and that of your lovely country as a tourist destination. You may not always feel like being sociable and agreeable but your customers are the ones who keep you in a job.<br/>So my recommendation is:<br/>If you are only after nice food (except for the bread rolls☺) and good prices then you will probably enjoy this cafe.<br/>But, if you want an enjoyable dining experience and common courtesy then Rossini Cafe is DEFINITELY NOT for you.<br/>There are plenty of other local dining places who have the same, if not better, food and staff who are a delight to interact with.<br/>
Angelica Breviario
Terrible service. The Italian wait staff are incredibly rude and smirky! I will never come here to eat purley based on the treatment from the staff here.

A friend is visiting from Auckland and whilst strolling through Circular Quay (as you do) on a Friday night (8/1/16) we ended up here for dinner.<br/><br/>We looked at the menu and it looked rather enticing and we were sold and made our way.<br/><br/>Here's the good, the bad and the ugly.<br/><br/>THE GOOD:<br/>- food <br/>- some staff<br/>- the choices of food on their menu. For the first time ever I wished I could order all the chicken dishes but alas that's something neither my stomach nor my bank can handle.<br/>- quick service<br/><br/>THE BAD:<br/>- the restaurant is located under circular quay station, which means every 2 minutes when a train goes past the top level shakes a little bit. Whilst you do want to sit upstairs to enjoy the views, the constant rumbling caused by each passing train can be a little frustrating.<br/>- they don't keep the air conditioning on inside. With Sydney summer weather this can mean it is rather hot inside the restaurant and can make you feel a little sick.<br/><br/>THE UGLY<br/>- ordered a vodka Coke with no ice, I get told there's no vodka left. I change my drink order to Coke and no ice, I get a glass with ice and a small bottle of Coke.<br/>- my friend initially ordered the Atlantic salmon dish and turned out they had no salmon left. So she changed her order to the ravioli.<br/>- our waitress wasn't the best and she seemed to be angry (not at us) or possibly just not in a good mood as she had a very stern way of talking.<br/><br/>Given the good, bad and ugly I will say that the food tasted great! I ordered the chicken parmigiana and my friend the ravioli. I can without a doubt recommend these dishes if you're visiting this restaurant.
Reiko
<br/>the service is terrible and the staff is unfriendly and kind of rude⋯⋯a terrible experience⋯⋯ we ordered two big breakfest ⋯⋯ and they forgot one with no apologize⋯⋯ I DONT THINK WE WOULD COME HERE AGAIN⋯⋯ruining my day for sure😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Jason Ursino
We ordered the caesar salad and the supreme pizza. Very tasty food, average service and the location is very nice. However, it was very pricy for what it is.
Abhijeet K. Gandhi
Busy during lunch but worth the wait to get a table. The dishes are hearty and flavorful. Avoid the outdoor seating during the Arvo unless you want to get tanned. <br/>Not the most budget friendly location in the city but fairly reasonable considering the location and the food portions.
Delhammerlindl
Happy Customers. We just had one of our best meals since we arrived in Australia three weeks ago. I had Linguini Marinara and my wife had Canneloni. They were both awesome! And we had a side of seasonal vegetables which came piping hot and done to perfection. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable for what we received. Even the house red wine was quite nice. We were happy as clams before we headed off to see our show at the Opera House. Would highly recommend Rossini.

Fraud - for sure - someone should shut them down. Just had the same experience here. in my view, if you are in the Entertainment book and the voucher is valid then it should be honoured.<br/>Only found out when it came to pay that the voucher wasnt going to be honoured.<br/>The food isnt even that great there - very average.
Syd_nth
Operating via Fraud and deception. They have a voucher in the entertainment book. The voucher is valid to June 2015. Today (7 March 2015) I attempted to use this voucher and was rudely informed by the manager that they don't honour those vouchers anymore. Seriously. You signed up to be in the book and then you just pull out. We went there only because we had a two for one voucher, so in effect they took our money via deceitful and fraudulent advertising. We won't be going back there again. Ever.
Chaerix
Indifferent staff and terrible food for the price you pay.. I ordered the eggs florentine & latte to enjoy a nice breakfast by the harbour. The coffee tasted burnt, leaving a bitter and rough feeling on my tongue. The food was mediocre at best. I had to force myself to eat it all (because I believe in eating a solid breakfast). I later had to visit the ladies' as a result. <br/><br/>10% surcharge on weekends without ever a mention of it from the waiter - not cool. So what was supposed to be about $25 on the menu ended up being about $35.
Camelandpig
The service is efficient and good. Food is pretty good too. Got the usual prawn spaghetti.
I'm Still Hungry
We actually also shared a pepperoni pizza but I didn’t take a photo of it. The flavour was essentially the same as what you get from Domino’s or Pizza Hut – i.e. nothing special here. Don’t come to this cafe for the pepperoni pizza.
Cora Chen
It came as no surprise to me that the food at Rossini was subpar. It succeeds on location alone because thousands of people visit Circular Quay with minimal interest in food but they still get hungry and need to eat. As someone who actually rates breakfast as a potentially exciting meal, I found the food to be boring, overpriced and of poor quality.
Angela_linus
Terrible food and service. Way overpriced for what they offer + 10% weekend surcharge for bad service. You'd be better off at Maccas across the road.
Adrian Demaio
Absolute rubbish!. This place is rubbish from front to back and side to side. And I'm pretty sure they have taxi drivers cooking in the kitchen. Don't waste your money and time choose another venue.
MusicMan
Entertainment Book Users Beware. This place does not accept Entertainment Book vouchers, even though they're in the book. We got some BS excuse about the place being under new management and therefore not being obliged to honor the vouchers. There are plenty of other places in town selling overpriced Italian food, try one of them.
Crystallossingway
Really disappointed with the restaurant. My boyfriend and I went meant to use the voucher of this restaurant and when we pay for the bill they said they're under new owner and they will no longer accept the voucher. <br/><br/>Food is acceptable but not worth the price without discount.<br/><br/>Won't go again.
Klayten
Rude, irresponsible. Food was acceptable, but owner won't honour entertainment book voucher. Poor explanation, rude service. Take responsibility if you take over a business. Cowardly, don't support it please. Not a good restaurant experience.
Michaelvelluto
Best parmigiana I have ever had. Went here with my girlfriend this evening, she had the spaghetti marinara which she loved and I had the chicken parmigiana, which was the best I have ever eaten and I am a very critical parmy eater! The crepes were also delicious with very friendly service...and the view of the harbour bridge was awesome!
Alexander Woo
Would have made better use of this space as a waiting dock for the ferries. The sides (bread and butter) were great but the mains was less than mediocre. We oredered the spaghetti bolognese and beef bacon tortellini to say the least the latter tasted like it was out of a bag from off the supermarket shelves and the spaghetti was like it was in the pot for days... They burnt the soy milk for my latte and thank god they got the coke zero right. Never again.
Tee
The food here is terrible. Not worth what they charge. We came here with our relatives from Italy and they were not impressed with the low quality pizza pasta and salads.<br/>Dont waste your time or money keep walking down the dock.
T5
Great view, terrible service. Average food.
Delby
The pizza was disgusting. Overpriced and tasted like a frozen pizza from the supermarket. Will not return!
Sunnycoast Girl
Wow, I can't believe this place has some negative comments. We were in Sydney for 4 days and this place has the best breakfast ever. Really hot coffee, nice eggs benedic and omelette . The best place for brekky and great view as a bonus.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE & GOOD FOOD. Outstanding Customer Service and Excellent Service. <br/> I had lunch at Rossini's on Wednesday the 5th of June. I had a tour group of 37 people that were participating in a tour that TOURISM STUDENTS & TEACHERS were conducting for Sydney TAFE. <br/><br/> All 37 people were quite hungry when we got there as they had been walking all day. We got there we were given the whole top floor to ourselves that had amazing views of Circular Quay, The Rocks, The Bridge and the Harbour. The service we got was amazing which gave the restaurant a fantastic atmosphere! <br/><br/> The Food was served within 15 minutes of us arriving there and were given complimentary breads and salads which you can't have Italian without bread and salad. The portion sizes where very generous just like mamas house and everything we ate was made fresh and you can tell ( I had the LASAGNA YUM.) Just one thing please don't add peas to it!!! <br/><br/> I especially would like to mention FRANKA and MARIO for their gracious hospitality and for looking after us very well! Ryan - Bond Tours
Antonio
Worst "italian" food I have ever eaten. Very disappointed and would not recommend it to anyone. Their pizza tastes like it was frozen. Service was aweful too! Overall should be shut down!
Kate
Good location, not so good food. This place has a great location looking out at Sydneys waterfront but the positives stop there. Besides having a gorgeous girl serve us, the service was below average as our waitress took a long time to attend to us and didnt revisit our table for more drinks. We ordered the pizza and it came out looking and tasting like a frozen McCain pizza base. Although price was good, id rather pay that little bit extra and enjoy the taste of my meal. The waitress also came and gave us our bill before we had a chance to order coffees.
Aimee Wilson
Great view, OK food, but extremely understaffed!. After a twilight walk from the inner city up to The Rocks and around to Circular Key, we were getting peckish. Waterfront fine-dining not being our thing, we bypassed all the fancy places under the bridge and happened upon Rossini. <br/><br/>It was a large restaurant with two levels, but only about four extremely busy waitstaff frantically running around clearing tables (i.e. putting all the dishes onto one table) and serving food. There was a 'queue' of 2-3 groups waiting to be seated when we arrived even though half the tables were empty. The first impression was that the management clearly doesn't employ enough staff for the level of business they get - this was on a Sunday night so I thought they would have planned for a bigger crowd. Or perhaps they are just stingy, I don't know.<br/><br/>A tall young waiter with an Italian accent greeted us with a curt 'ciao' then seated us at a table with a perfect view of the bridge, which was great. He was rather entertaining and in his welcoming spiel I'm pretty sure he said he hated his job and wanted to shoot the place with a bazooka...but then backpedalled and said it was the best thing about Sydney, apart from himself. So that was interesting. <br/><br/>I ordered Pasta al Forno, which was macaroni and eggplant in bolognese sauce cooked in the oven (as the name suggests). It arrived still bubbling around the edges, but was a bit cold in the middle. It was a generous serve, and all their pasta dishes are served with a bread roll which was crusty on the outside but soft on the inside and quite delicious. Overall the pasta was an enjoyable comfort-food style pasta bake but nothing exceptional. My dining partner's spaghetti marinara was similar - nice, but not exceptional.<br/><br/>Others have complained about the service here, and whilst our waiter's comments were a little odd at times I couldn't help feeling sorry for him and the other waitstaff, who generally seemed remarkably upbeat considering how understaffed the place was.
Chris Wood
Terrible service.
Indigestion Kid
I found nice enough.. Service was really fast and efficient, had soup of the day which was a very large serve and tasty. It's on circular quay so pricing was reasonable. I would not go out of my way for he food here but good for a pit stop. Nice enough to drop in to which I think is where it positions itself.
Ying S.
Just average. N.B. Most of the items on the menu are not cooked on demand - see the 'serving counter' as an illustration. Had the Chicken Crepe and the Fish & Chips - both were edible and average, nothing special. I don't mind dining at the restaurant but I wouldn't make a special trip to the restaurant for a meal.
Teagan M
Firstly ordered five drinks two lemon lime and bitters and three cokes they came 15 mins later as three lemon lime and bitters and two cokes. We then ordered mains, I ordered the canneloni and so did my brother. Our meals took 40 mins to come and only four came. My canneloni looked like it had been thrown on the plate. The two canneloni were on opposite sides of the plate and the sauce had splattered all over the plate. My brothers canneloni didn't come out at the same time. It was after another fifteen mins before we waved down a waitress and asked what the deal was. She returned ten mins later to tell us they had stopped cooking it and therefore had to cook a new one. That came up another ten mins later and was flooded in sauce. Very inconsistent with their dishes. Also the salads were dried out and did not look fresh at all. The service was terrible. The wait staff were rude. All in all, a terrible experience. Will not be back.
Russell Leung
Where to begin with this place... You'd think all of the circular quay restaurants would have a great location with great service and great food.... Sadly this "restaurant" fails on all accounts. We came in for dinner on a Thursday night, and there is No view from here. The wait for just the bruschetta was at least 15 minutes, and the wait for our mains was even longer. The chicken was dry as bone, the veal was disgusting, and the service left no one wondering why the restaurant was so empty. I've had better meals at 24 hour kebab shops and ordered pizza than at this place
Laura
Disgusting food and extremely overpriced. I can't believe a restaurant would so blatantly take advantage of tourists. $12 Stale muesli and a $10 toasted sandwich with fake ham and plastic cheese is unacceptable. As an Australian I'm offended by this place.
BenG
I'm only guessing but when I see an 'i like' percentage of 60-something I have to wonder how fairly people are judging this place. If one considers location, price and quality I think that these factors all combine to make a quality restaurant. Sure, it's mass produced, but it's tasty, quick AND it's a main meal looking at the bridge for $18-24 in Circular Quay. You can only expect so much and with this in mind I give it a thumbs up.
