Review Hoochie Mamma - Sydney

A M
If you like crispy Bacon and fried eggs this is the place to have it. One of the best bacon and egg roll I had. Very tasty. My partner had pulled pork Roll and it was very delicious and a good flavour combination. The apple carrot ginger juice was very refreshing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable. Sat outside and it was very nice.

Great food, mediocre service. Apparently asking for a hash Brown is not something the staff can remember between table and kitchen. Then when asked an ETA on the missing item, I'm told 2 minutes and then right now. 8 minutes later still no hash Brown. Photo to illustrate dissatisfaction with lack of texture.

Very good service. The waitress who greeted me showed to the kids' play area with my toddler which was ideal. They offered to do him a half-size smoothie when I was deciding what to get for him. The smoothie is full of fresh fruit and not full of added sugar! I subsequently ordered scrambled eggs on toast and the waitress brought a second plate and fork for us to share without my even asking. Very thoughtful and pleasant experience.

The food is tasty, the price is reasonable , but the public holiday surcharge applied , $ 3 for the meal , and $0.5 for the drink (may be?), they accepted the dine voucher

Disappointing, I normal stop by after work,to have a coffee and a bite to eat dinning outside. I ordered as per usually sit outside as it took 10 minutes for my coffee to be brought to me, on top my food was another 20minutes, also was in a take away bag, which I had to get to see why it was taking so long as was just left om the counter, with the rude barista, man stating I should inform if im dinning in ( i didnt inform for take away for starters). AnyhowVery pleasant. Won't be back again. On top a thanks to the waiter as he was kind.

We ordered a decent amount of food for our daughters 7th bday and Stav and the team were incredible in helping us prepare. Food was great, all eaten, staff were amazing. Thanks Hoochie for making the big day a success!

Both excellent service and food! Ordered the corn fritters and chorizo scrambled egg which were delicious. Coffees are on par too. Visited on Sunday morning with plenty of free tables.

Hoochie Mamma café has an interesting name. Whilst there were no characters of these sorts frequenting this café, it is certainly fabulous and we were met by staff with flair. Sparkly was a top waiter and instantly charismatic. He totally made our visit, being extremely accommodating and providing humor to our morning visit. In close vicinity to the Sydney University Colleges and the hospital and a short stroll from the main street of Newtown, it really caters to everyone. It also has children’s seats and toys and therefore suitable to families too. The space is huge, and comfortable with a good amount of outdoor seating and heaters to provide you warmth in the cold. We tried the special – sourdough topped with feta, rocket and poached eggs for a healthy start to the day. We were also after something sweet and decided upon the pancakes. These were light and fluffy and of a homecooked style. Drizzled with maple, a honeycomb butter and orange rind. Whilst they didn’t appear outrageously fancy, they met the mark on taste. They serve great coffee, by little marionette. A great café and perfect for any crowds. Not too expensive and they have food to suit everyone.

They put ice cream in your ice coffee , so nice ❣️

I love the vibe and cool atmosphere of Hoochie Mamma. I also love, love the name. Great coffee, good food and friendly staff. It’s my go to whenever I am in Newtown and need a good brekkie! #hoochiemamma

Went there on Saturday morning for brunch
Ordered big breakfast, salmon egg benedict, passion fruit juice and watermelon juice, Portuguese tart and pineapple muffin
Nothing came with surprise
The service was different to conclude with one word. Some staff were nicer than other.

I had brunch at Hoochie Mama cafe on one Sunday noon.

The orange juice is awesome with nice balance of sour and sweet. Plus, staffs are really friendly. Good service in general.

Nevertheless, the food is at the average and I think the portion of them are more into breakfast dishes rather than lunch or brunch since they were quite small to us.
FluffyGroodle
Ordered a wild mushroom bruschetta that was supposed to come with poached eggs. The photo shows what their poached comes out as 😒 Gave feedback to the wait staff, but it didn’t faze them. Still ate half of the thing as I had no breakfast yet.

Chicken Burger : 😍 Amazing
Açai Smoothie : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😁 Great

The grilled chicken burger literally had everything I love in a burger PLUS super crispy shoestring fries to go along with it. It was cooked to perfection, juicy and saucy too. Açai Smoothie was refreshing to have after the burger. Will definitely come back with mates.

This cute cafe is tucked away in the corner, and about an 12 minute walk from Newtown Station 😁👌🏼 We all trudged our way through a day of heat and blazing sun for the baguettes, which were totally worth it 💕

- Prosciutto: The combination of prosciutto, bocconcini cheese and aioli was wonderful 🙏🏼 so tasty
- Moroccan Chicken Breast: The chicken was tender and had such a nice seasoning

The bread itself was extremely crunchy. I could hear (and feel) the pleasant crisp when you munched down on the baguettes.

It’s cheaper if you get the baguettes as takeaway as it is only $8.50, compared to having it in store $9.80 ☺️

Sunday amazing breakfast! 🍳 🥓 🥑 Great service and lovely friendly staff. The bacon was cooked deliciously crispy on point! I had the eggs Benedict with no bread and it was just divine! Will definitely be back to try other dishes as the menu looked amazing!
Teresa
Very cool place! Great salads and burgers and really good breakfast food. It’s nice to sit inside or outside and do work. Their menu has a lot of options to choose from and they’re very reasonably priced.

Lots of people sitting outside on a sunny Sunday afternoon, but there was more seating inside so no waiting for us.

Food is good, and the ginger in the carrot juice is quite strong (which I liked).

Service is attentive.

This place a bit off King St might trade on the hospital and the student accommodation but it puts in the effort to make it a worthwhile destination. It has a lot of tables inside and out and friendly proactive staff. Breakfasts get a little bit interesting with things like beans with your scrambled eggs - nothing too fancy but healthy, interesting, and reasonably-priced. Coffee was rich and frothy but a little cold.
Maria
Saturday morning brunch, busy & lively atmosphere. Service was prompt as we entered, got our coffee orders in on arrival. The meals were delicious, we had the bruschetta with labnah, boiled egg and avocado & the pancake. Good coffee as well.

All round good food and service.

Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars.

Service 4/5 and ambience 4/5
The cashier is friendly and nice, very talkative.
The waitress is nice too but she is not very familiar with the menu.
We wait long time for food.

Quite big inside and bright outside seatings on the roomy platform.

Food 3/5
Prawn linguini 3/5
Feeling lack of ingredients and the food is not warm enough.

Sweet corn fritters 2.5/5
The base is really oily and over cooked. I am really afraid 😟 The sauce is too salty and then the whole flavour is so dominated by sauce.

Hungry Pea
Not a bad Newtown cafe, have had a couple of instances where waiters had forgotten or put through orders wrong. Good selection of breakfasts, coffee is decent and there’s usually pretty chilled vibes there.
The_Hungry_Giant
Nice and convenient place. The Eggs Benedict were one of the best I've had. The iced coffee/shake was perfect with a great balance of coffee and ice cream flavour. Friendly staff.
Mauyeeyee
Nice breakfast & coffee. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The Big Hoochie breakfast was very satisfying. 😚 Service was friendly & courteous. Great atmosphere where you can sit outside in the morning sun.

Snapshots Of Food
2 poached eggs, wilted spinach, bacon with hollandaise on sourdough. We haven't had an eggs benedict in a while so we decided to go all out and add hashbrowns! The eggs benny was a classic and we wouldn't change a thing. The great thing about an eggs benedict is that the flavours are so simple yet they work so perfectly well. The only crucial part of this dish is making sure those eggs are perfect and great news... they were!
Lee San Liong
I enjoyed my experience here!! The food came super fast! I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was amazing! They were very generous with the salmon and the eggs were runny! My friend had the Corn Fritters and she said it was lacking some seasoning :( but overall I would go again for the Eggs Benedict!
I'm Hangry
Hoochie Mamma is a popular cafe just off King Street frequented by University of Sydney students and RPA workers. Years ago when I used to frequent the area, I would start my day almost every day with either their home made muffins which changed flavour every day or their yoghurt & muesli and a small flat white.

Fast forward to now and the cafe appeared just as busy on a Thursday morning as what I used to recall. The poor staff who must have been short on people that day, were running around like headless chooks trying to serve the tables, make juices and coffees behind the counter, handle the takeaway orders, accept payments for the tables…

That certainly didn’t ruin the zen that I had created for myself – breakfast out on a weekday is a rare occasion for me and this was one of them. I ordered a Veggie Breakfast ($17) which includes 2 free range eggs, haloumi, spinach, roast tomato, field mushroom, fritters & toast. In other words, it was quite a large meal. The rye toast was great and the eggs were perfectly poached (think – soft yolk just oozing out as you cut into it). I could probably do without the mini fritters (which I think are made from chickpea) as they were a little dry but the field mushroom on the other hand, was juicy and tender (and I don’t even like mushrooms!).
Princess Greedy Guts
Stones throw away from busy King Street & RPA Hospital, this deceivingly large cafe has a lot of space & a lot of menu choices. Everything sounds delicious & on this occasion for breakfast, I tried the Lumber jack omelette, scrambled eggs & fruit salad with Coyo. The lumber jack omelette was filling to say the least & had great flavours from chorizo, mushrooms & feta, a delicious, hearty start to the day! Scrambled eggs is always a good test at a cafe & this one was well cooked, not overly creamy which is to my liking. The fruit salad was beautiful to look at & eat! A big plate of colourful, fresh, beautiful fruits accompanied by coconut yogurt ($3 addition). Coffee beans are roasted in house & was a great brew. There is plenty of room inside & out which is great for groups and there is a kids corner with lots of toys and books so is super family friendly also.
Eatdrinkbe_merry
Stopped by for lunch on Sunday after driving by so many times and been curious about the name. Relaxed cafe with good coffee and a diverse, lengthy menu! Chose the tomato pasta (vegan option w no cheese) which sounds bland but was full of flavour and textures to add interest. Also, the spiced cauliflower salad was light with baby spinach dressed with a tahini and lemon dressing with delicious cashews, cranberries and wonton chips! Tasty French fries too. A good neighbourhood option!
The RnB Diary
Located just footsteps from Newtown’s bustling King Street, the Hoochie Mamma cafe prides itself on its house-blended coffee beans, European-inspired cafe fare and alfresco dining. With capacity to seat more than 100, this spacious and fully-licensed cafe is where you can sip on aromatic coffee in the morning, indulge in delectable desserts in the afternoon and kick back with a glass of wine in the evening.
Coffeebrunchanddinner
A family friendly cafe in Newtown with a huge menu! It was a difficult choice but I went for the sweet corn fritters (gluten free option) that were served up with bacon, avocado, spinach and tomato relish. It was the perfect serving size to satisfy your weekend cravings. We also opted for the ‘All the Buzz Buttermilk Pancakes’. These looked small but they were packed full of honeycomb butter, fresh strawberries and maple syrup. The cafe has a great vibe with friendly staff and plenty of space to chill out!
The Naked Food Addict
Found this place to be alot larger than I thought it was on the outside which was cool. They have a very cute set up, good customer service, and the food isn't bad either :) The pucker pork sandwich looked fantastic, but I unfortunately found it to be quite dry. Their santa fe chilli chicken burger was alright too. It had grilled pineapple, bacon, tomato, cos lettuce, aoili and melted american cheddar with skinny fries. I think the concept of the burger is great, and I do love a good chilli chicken burger, but as the title suggests, it is indeed "mild". Skinny fries were great, enjoyed the mayo on the side too. Very cute set up from the inside :)
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
For a healthy hearty breakfast that will see you right through to lunch – if not dinner – Hoochie Mamma is the place to go to accomplish this. Hoochie Mamma Café is spacious. There is plenty of outside seating as well as generous quantities of seating indoors too. . Arriving early for a breakfast, we chose to sit indoors in a booth as it was a chilly morning. Sir had his usual skim flat white with one sugar – still not down to no sugar (yet) and Mlady had her usual – weak soy cappuccino – we both said AHH – that’s nice.
Lollieats
Beautiful spacious setting. Warm and friendly service. Menu offered a huge selection and very reasonably priced. Food came out quickly and was absolutely scrumptious. The coffee was excellent and highly recommend the dirty chai. If you want the cooler things in life 😉 then the smoothies are worth having. All in all wonderful experience 😍

Hoochie Mamma café has an interesting name. The urban dictionary states a Hoochie Mamma is: a female who dressed ghetto fabulous. Whilst there were none of these characters at the café, the cafe is certainly fabulous, as were the staff. Sparky was our waiter, he was instantly charismatic and provided plenty of flair. He totally made our visit, being extremely accommodating and providing humor to our morning visit.

The pancakes were the best I've eaten. A stack of 3 thick and very fluffy pancakes. The waiter said that a dash of orange juice is added to the mix which made it very flavoursome. My husband had the lumber jack omelette which he loved, particularly with the added texture of feta. We had a smoothie and juice and they were absolutely delicious.
The Hand That Bites
Nice cafe with good standards. Their pancakes are some of the best I've had in Sydney. The cafe is clean, spacious and welcoming. It was quite busy when I went, which was during the lunchtime rush. The burgers were good quality and the Moroccan chicken was great too. The pancakes were definitely my favourite, but I do have a sweet tooth.
Sydneyguyrojoe
Had the nana Berry bang smoothie,I was nice enough
The pucker pork sandwich was difficult to eat. On 2 large slices of bread I eventually gave up using my hands
Adding onion rings was a plus but at the end I just felt like it was just ok,nothing special
Prices were what I expected and service was quick
Overall it's just alright

It's near Newtown, but not on the main street. This cafe closes early at 4pm and provides breakfast, coffee and brunch. I chose to dine in, and found a seat. The waiter at the beginning was nice and brought me menu and water. However, he is not always there. And I had to walk to the counter and order my food.

I ordered #Bircher Museli# because I felt like eating fruit that day. It's made of a special kind of apple which is cut into slices and served with yoghurt. But the yoghurt tastes sour. At the very first bite I found it OK, but to finish it up takes me a long time. Perhaps it's not suitable for breakfast.
#Short Black# Simple and no highlights.
Henry Louie
Very cozy cafe off the main road, decent foods, service was alright but it wasn't above average. Tried the incredibly salty chorizo linguini, wasn't impressed.
Bacon on my other friend's corn fritters cannot be swapped with eggs otherwise there will be an extra charge. But anyway i'd like to come back to try other options on the menu. 3.0 for the ambience!
Lou
Visited Hoochie Mama for breakfast on 3 consecutive days, served by 3 different staff. Saturday and Sunday the hipsters were obviously too cool to be polite and everything was a hassle. Monday was a whole new story, the young English girl was cheery and pleasant. Scrambled eggs and omelettes are delicious as is the watermelon frappe. Whilst the food was consistently good, sadly the service received has halved my rating here. Get rid of the hipster staff!
Chris
The Green Hornet, a fine drink. Recommended. It is $6 but the taste is lovely. Table service good. Clean table availability - average. Overall, would come again.
Thefoodbotherer
Have been to cafes on this site for a good 8 years but I have no idea if my previous visits years ago were Hoochie Mamma.

Cafe caters to food intolerances such a gluten free for coeliacs which is nice. I got the gluten free corn fritters which were nice and crunchy.

Coffee was pretty decent too.
Lil' Me
The Lumberjack omelette was ok, the omelette itself was slightly bland, but the chorizo pieces were very tasty. The French toast was good, however the amount of maple syrup was too much in the dish. The toasts were dripping syrup, so it overloaded with sugar, too sweet.
Good coffee. Friendly staff, good seating inside and outside.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
We dined here thanks to a Zomato voucher.

Located near the corner of Missenden Road & King Street, it is well located for visitors of RPA Hospital and the locals of Newtown.

They cater for people with gluten intolerance and preference for gluten free products. Their range is quite extensive for breakfast and baked goods.

We decided to try the Ham Eggs Benedict, Breaky Bruschetta (Ricotta, Field Mushrooms, Roast Tomatoes, Avocado & Parsley) with an additional poached egg, and Gluten Free Blueberry & Coconut Pancakes (With Maple, Pistachio Crumble, Coconut Yogo & Persian Candy Floss). The poached eggs on both the savoury dishes were cooked to perfection. Wobbly on the outside and once cut open, the golden yellow yolks flowed onto the plate. The eggs Benedict with ham and wilted spinach were served on brioche buns and tasted really delicious. The breaky bruschetta was a substantial and satisfying meal; creamy ricotta was thickly spread on toasted sourdough and topped with meaty mushrooms, avocado wedges and sweet grilled tomato, all perfectly seasoned. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and bland but were a vessel to soak up the maple syrup and pistachios. The coconut yoghurt added creaminess to it. Strawberries added a fresh touch to the dish.

We would definitely be back for the savoury breakfast.
Sweetandyummie
Lovely cafe located in Newtown with highly attentive customer service and a great menu. I ordered the blueberry and coconut pancakes and they were super soft and delicious. Coffee is by Little Marionette and it's a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine and relax.
Miffy7
After shopping at IKEA, we drove through Newtown for lunch. The staff member who looked after was really friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. I opted for their sweet corn fritters and my husband had their slow cooked beef pasta which were both tasty and generous portions. We bother had a glass of wine and the small negative is that they only have one option available by the glass. Along with dirty toilets.

Overall the place was busy and it had a good atmosphere.
Danbovan
Delicious yoghurt and berries that you can take on the go with a coffee. Coffee is hot and doesn't taste like armpit, which is awesome. We dined in with work colleagues and had delicious, big meals that were all a winner.
Allofthefoods
Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The service was friendly and the food was great. We ordered the corn fritters and the veggie breakfast. Good, home-style breakfast in a cute little venue. Also ordered a green juice which was absolutely delicious. I'd return just for that!
Phfat
Food is so average every time I come here. Veggie breakfast is flavourless and they're stingy with the avocado. Blat is okay. Granola not very nice, the yoghurt to granola ratio is way off. The only nice thing here is the dirty chai.
LEE
A dog-friendly cafe, it's a good site to bring your doggies here and have a brunch then hang out in Syd park.
All staff are kind and taking care of your pets. While, the food, just not too bad.
Imonlymuggle
Had a quiet afternoon lunch at the cafe. Service was fast and prompt but the food was average. Nothing to brag about. A good spot to grab lunch if you work near the area.

G Bangalang
It was ok. The avocado toast sort of just tasted like the individual ingredients and didn't come together as a memorable dish. Nice sourdough bread though. Boyfriend also thought his meal was fine but not wow.
Neateatz
I've been to this cafe a couple of times now and it is one of my favorites in Newtown! The service is always great, coffee is amazing, great variety of meals and selection of (gluten free) cakes and slices and the food portions are quite generous! The Paleo Cacao granola is a must have, absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back regularly 😊
C
Airport cafeteria fare came to mind; food kept warm, plonked on plate, and charged café prices with poor service.

Unidentifiable salty sausage, bland hard salty bacon, overcooked poached eggs. Zero presentation. Only good parts were toast and butter, neither made by them. (Granted, they toasted it.)
FlavaCraver
I came here with a couple of my friends over the weekend, it was really busy but the service wasn't lacking. I had the mango and coconut chia pudding which was a generous size and absolutely delicious, the coffee aint too bad either but there's stiff competition in the area, i would pick this place because of the beautiful space with a spacious interior/outdoor seating area and because of the great food offerings.
Oh Burger Me
He says: The amazing She and I are now Newtown residents and which warranted a complete devotion to being on point with all the inner west burger options. I’m normally about as likely to believe in Santa Claus than I am to believe anything written in the Daily Telegraph but I noticed they’d listed this in their 10 best burgers in Sydney list and considering the close proximity to our home it we had a date .
Sheree Murray
We honestly only stopped as the name made us giggle, but it was probably the best idea ever. Food was amazing, had the sweet corn fritters yum
Showmethefoodie
Service was very good. Polite and friendly. Had burger and chips for lunch. Food came in good time frame and was hot and tasty. Was overall happy with the experience.
Unspoonsored
Below average food but a nice place to hang out at...
Becca Johnstone
The coffee was so bloody good. The shot of Kopi Luwak had a lovely crema on top, which allowed sweet, nutty aroma, that had nuances of dark chocolate, coming through on the nose. But where this cup of coffee stands out from the crowd is in terms of flavour. The Kopi Luwak has a beautiful smooth flavour and has none of the bitterness
Catty
We shared the sweet corn fritters and the breakfast bruschette (served with ricotta, field mushrooms, roast tomato and avocado) which was divine and caught up on years of gossip on boys and work and boys and travel and boys and… yeah.
Sasha Gusain
Pretty good. Almost didn't go here, because of all the negative reviews on urbanspoon, yelp and other review sites. But decided to go check it out for myself and I'm glad I did.

The service was friendly and swift (we had our coffees before we even decided what we wanted to eat!), the food was good and the ambience was lovely.

Maybe all the negative reviews helped make it better? Who knows... but give this place a visit if you're looking for a nice sunny breakfast or even a lazy lunch out in Newtown.
Stacey Danger
The coffee was okay but the barista was so rude. I asked for a long black with about a quarter of hot soy in top and was confronted by the barista and told to put my own hot water on the shot of coffee and then told to fill up with soy. He then proceeded to put the plastic lid on the cup and left it right in front of him. I had to reach right over-the-counter to get it. Plain rude. On my way out I heard two people leaving the café asking for their money back because they had waited for over half an hour for their food. Not sure I will be rushing back there given how many other good coffee and food options there are Newtown.
Hannahrose.c
Too many times I've waited around to be greeted at this place. The service is lacklustre at best. The staff need to pick up their act. Food and coffee not worth waiting around for.
Ishbelle
7.5/10. Mostly good service, good food and above average coffee of not above average price. Better coffee exists in Newtown, but it's about a dollar more expensive. Convenient location, often quite busy - which means the service can be a shade slow (but I've never known the staff here to be rude). Hoochies muffin of the day is usually incredible!
Facebook User
Yum food, rude service. The food here is delicious, but the staff are so rude. They where to busy standing around chatting with other staff to give any good service. I waited so long to get a menu and then to place my order.
Hungryhippo
I love it here, trendy decor and a nice outside area. Food is always good even if you have to wait a while on a weekend as it is usually packed. I like the ocean trout salad and the chicken club the most. Haven't tried the coffee though.
Mash Pie
Coffee was decent and food too but slow service, will try again :)
Jane
Waited half an hour for service, when waiter arrived she was very rude & got the order wrong. We were then told the food would take 1 hour (there were 4 of us, 3 ordered eggs Benedict). We had suitcases & clearly didn't have a couple of hours to spend, & as it had been 45 minutes before we were told of the 1 hour wait we had to leave.
Rebecca Audrey
Disappointed. Waited ten minutes for servic. waitress was neither friendly or polite. She became rude over my boyfriends unclear decision about his eggs.
Jeremy Shannon Allen
Previously I've been a bit ambivalent about HM, as their food quality is patchy and coffee subpar for the area (though it's a high standard, being on the same street as Luxe and the famous Campos).

As Fringe has closed, we thought we'd give HM another try - mistake. We were left 15 mins with menus, and that's while trying to get service, before staff asked "are you ready to order?" Yes, I said, denying the desire to say something nasty. 10 mins later and still no service. Right, OK. Bye.
Elliott Bledsoe
Worth it just for the check-in!. The breakfast was passable, the coffee only just better than that. But with a name like Hoochie Mamma, its worth it just for the check-in!
Foodie B
My partner and I just had breakfast here after reading about this place on urban spoon. I can't beleive it only has a 73% like. The vein is really cool and well laid out in my opinion. The menu was really awesome and I would love to come back for lunch and dinner also as they have some nice items on there.
Both my partner and I enjoyed or breakfast and if I lived near by this would be my usual not question. I love this place and think I will come back for dinner tonight! Don't miss out on trying this place for any meal!! 9/10 for me.
Christopher
Poor service. Certain waiters were downright rude. Despite making eye contact, they seemed not to want to serve us. Food was ok but not brilliant. I think Luxe Bakery over the road is better.
Jeremy Shannon Allen
Inconsistent. Sometimes this place gets it absolutely right on food. Sometimes it's rubbish - last time I was here I had a chicken club sandwich and my partner had eggs benedict. The bread on both our sandwiches must have been three days old; it was hard and stale.

The coffee is not good. If you want to go to HM (it's got tons of seating, they serve alcohol and the food is sometimes very good) don't drink coffee.
June Bug
Not the best quality but reliable, affordable, comfortable and friendly.
Shibbie99
I've been a few times and its been really good. But I was very disappointed inthe service this time. We got served by a red headed waitress who threw the menu's at us with coffee froth all over the front of the menu. Then I looked at her a few times to let her know we were ready to order and she completely ignored us. We waited to be served for over 20mins before walking out..
Skinnygirleats
So good, the breakfasts are huge, delicious and well-priced. They cook haloumi to perfection and know how to fry a chip.
Lisa Farrell
Very accommodating. Yummy lunch spot with great portion sizes.
the staff are very friendly and helpful with any alterations you request.
in particular i recommend the chicken club sandwich or any of the salads.. although i am yet get through the rest of the menu yet!
Tricia
Better than expected. In all honesty, we wanted to check out Campos but they were closed so we headed over to Hoochie Mama to satisfy our coffee craving. The cappuccino was better than expected - full-bodied, creamy and silky. Very satisfied.
Warren Cammack
Great breakfast. Try the corn fritters and the amazing coffe - you won't be disappointed!
Intrepid
Sometimes you end up on missenden and this used to be a half decent place to stop, waiting for scans/ appointments et al but the consistently sloppy 16year old casual workforce and disregarding management have made for disappointing expensive outcomes... Thankfully in addition to the delicious coffee at campos there is now the bakery cafe just across the road closer to king called bakery. Sorry summer bay but not today.
Samie
Hoochie's Mamma. Ok, I'm a bit biased.. this is our local Saturday brunch hideout. We could sit here for hours reading, it's friendly, comfy and the food is great! What more can you ask for..
Cristyjean
Corn fritters.... I know they are typical fare on breakfast menu's nowadays, however I love them and Hoochi does them well. Guys making coffee and taking the cash at the counter are very friendly, however the floor staff can seem a bit on the simple side. Don't let that stop you though as the prices are very reasonable and the cafe large so you always get a table. Parking on that street is pretty good for Newtown too.
