Bourbon best place in Kings cross, to be looked after with great service and staff. Amazing burger and salad! Best served while sipping a zesty Boulevard cocktail
Nice decor, busy place with friendly staff. Had a burger which was average at best - meat was dry and tasted like it had been cooked ages ago, however all it came with was good; good chips and bun with fresh lettuce. Would defiantly have drinks here again and would try food again due to other good ratings - seems like lunch would be a good shout. But overall I enjoyed to experience and don't regret going.
Great bar & restaurant with unbelievable lunch menu with huge portions for only $15 AUS :-) loved my Reuben sarmie & bartenders were super loveable.

The Bourbon – which was known as “Bourbon and Beefsteak” is an icon in Kings Cross. Having walked past it a lot in recent times, you can see the magnificence of the building. What you see is reminiscent of old world class in a contemporary setting.
The Bourbon is a Southern New Orleans style bar located in the heart of Potts Point on the infamous Darlinghurst Road. By day, it's a stylish place for lunch and a drink (or three) and by night it transforms into a gorgeous night time playground. The Bourbon's makeover is sleek and inviting, great for hosting parties or laid by drinks with mates.
This place is fantastic. Live music and amazing dishes! The atmosphere feels very 1950's and the crowd is a mixture of all age groups. Customer service is very attentive and the place is well staffed. The menu is diverse for suit all tastes. I highly recommend the seafood platter and the lobster roll!
The Bourbon is one of the best ways to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon with friends in Kings Cross. Drinks are affordable, service is friendly, and the food is much better than most of the local cafes and restaurants. And what's more, the portion sizes are huge!
I haven't been here at night in a couple of years, but they used to have some great live music on occasion.
It is a real shame how the lockouts have devastated the Sydney night life, let's hope they don't spell doom for this heritage establishment.
This place rocks! The cocktails here are amazingly good, staff were nice and polite with heaps of knowledge of the alcohol and food. Food it self was tasty and simple, few of the dessert was "ok" nothing great but i enoyed the meals.
The renovation is a major change from the room where I would play trivia and have a $10 steak. Cozy group tables in an intimate setting out the back, or a bustling dining room overseeing the streetscape in the front.

As Sydney celebrated Mardi Gras I had my own Fat Tuesday at this revamped beauty. It’s big, fat, loud food for big, fat, loud people, underpinned by solid French technique, courtesy of ten-year Becasse stalwart James Metcalfe. Get messy (perhaps revisiting some of your earlier memories in this iconic spot) with butter-drenched Grilled Alaskan Crab Clusters ($19/250g) or Jumbo Shrimp ($24) in Creole butter so tasty, you’ll damn your arteries and demand Warm Bread ($3)...
We took our team of 9 out for drinks and a bite to eat last night (Saturday) and had a great night. The food and service was good and the live music provided by a solo musian was great. A nice mix of songs for everyone and not too loud so that we could still have a good chat. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a lot of options for seating and dining. Although the space is big it is cleverly laid out with differently styled areas so that it still feels cozy. You can chill on a couch with your drinks or sit at a more formal table. Great area too, wonderful vibe and great place to meet a great mix of people.
Without a slither of doubt, they serve one of the best parmis in Sydney. The mushroom sauce is a game changer - a local favourite I’ve been frequenting for years.
I love the bourbon it has so much character and history ,you just have to go there and you can feel it...
Us baby boomers decided to take a trip down memory lane and visit the Bourbon Hotel as it was a frequent hangout for us in the 70's known then as the Bourbon & Beef Steak Bar! Not quite how we remember it but we had a very enjoyable and relaxing lunch. The food was excellent and the staff very professional and friendly.
Great venue, good food and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We had a table for 9 people booked for 6pm, but our previous activity ran over. I called ahead to say that we were running late and was assured it wouldn't be a problem. We eventually arrived 45mins late, and they had held a table for us. The live music was great and we all had a great time, thanks!
Great atmosphere. I love the mid century decor. The have a fairly standard beer and wine menu but a good cocktail list. Happy hour between 5-7pm means you can get two cocktails for $25 buy they weren't doing the jugs when we visited. The bistro has some good bar snacks too.
