Review The Little Guy - Sydney

Love this little bar, the staff, drinks, and free popcorn. Definitely a good vibe. Unfortunately though, the ground floor had a really bad sewage odour. Hopefully was just a one off issue, because otherwise was great.

Awesome bar for a great night. Top staff who are super chill and friendly. Great drink selection and funky atmosphere

Cool place, chill vibe. The complimentary popcorn is my favourite. Small rooms for hire if you have a group.

Best little bar in Glebe with great vibe! Friendly staff, great playlists and best banger bingo in town. You should follow these guys on Insta right now, high quality content. Also loving the new outdoors seats

Friendly, intimate bar; loved the spiced popcorn and trivia nights are a bit of fun. Perhaps it could be a tad bigger, though I liked the seperation of all the rooms which provides a bit of privacy.

26 Sep:
- free popcorn (the flavor is interesting too)
- $10 house cocktails on Wednesday nights (the Italian Siesta is surprisingly strong)
- good vibes! Excellent retro music taste (shoutout to whoever that put on “California dreams”)
Those Who Love To Eat
What can I say about this little beauty, situated l in Glebe. It's all so... Hipster but yet so inviting. It has this house party vibe to it, where you want to come and catch up with an old friend for a cheeky drink or two (or maybe more) depending on your mood and company. This place whets your drinking appetite with unlimited complimentary popcorn. This drinking hole really knows how to get your desire for alcohol going.
Their simple and uncomplicated cocktail menu is kind of refreshing, making decision making nice and simple.
We ordered the The gin diesel sour (totally rocked the palate) and the mojito whilst grazing away on popcorn, enjoying good company, and a yarn.
God place to come driving if you want to get out the hussle and bustles of the CBD and a low key drink with friends.
This place is highly recommended and totally worth travel for a night out or to try somewhere new. Always a pleasure to return to this funky venue.
The Little Guy is a fantastic little bar, it has a really relaxed intimate vibe which is perfect for a small group of friends. We went to the Open Mic Night on Tuesday which was fantastic - all the acts were great!

Tiny bar in Glebe, it's intimate, cozy and friendly. As soon as we sat down, a pot of free popcorn was placed in front of us. Beers were mainly craft beer and very few on tap. I had a Shiraz which wasn't too bad or over-priced. Considering Glebe isn't full of night spots, this is an obvious option.

One of my favourite bars in Glebe! Tiny bit cosy!

You can sit at the front window or at the bar or for bigger groups down the back.

Relaxed vibe and cool up cycled furniture. I believe you can still draw on the chalk board table which is great for doodle heads!

Good selection of wines too!

Well the Little Guy has grown to become somewhat of an institution over the short time it's been in Glebe. Immediately making an impact, it established itself from the existing bars in the area, some well entrenched and other battling to find regular clientele. It's great to see a small bar such as this succeed and offer people an enjoyable down to earth experience with some craziness thrown in for good measure. The free popcorn and revolving cocktail list doesn't hurt either. Don't expect to come here at a peak time and find a chair or table to sit at. The Little Guy is an incredibly popular spot for locals and blow-ins alike so you'll have some competition.

Great local small bar on glebe point road to go to on a Saturday afternoon. Not overly packed. Great fresh cocktail that's not overly sweet.

The front of the bar is great for those whom like to people watch, with its big open view to the street and footpath. The first inner half of the bar has a large bench with timber stools - great for those who love to watch their cocktails being made, or for those chatty people whom loves chatting to passers by or to the bar staff. The back end of the bar - there's a quieter little room with a few comfy couches. The room is decorated with cute glass bottles and candles (photo above), drawing you in to the charm once again. There's not too many seats, so if this is on your list of bars to check out - go early to grab yourselves a spot in case it's one of their busy nights.

I recommend everything! For the less adventurous, or less hungry, they have complimentary spiced popcorn, of which we consumed many bowls worth – loving this trend in small bars.

Always buzzing, frequently with live bands and the temptation of free spicy popcorn.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
One year in, it’s happy anniversary to Anna and Dynn for this, their first bar, though they say: “We’ve been working in bars since they’ve been letting us in.” The Little Guy is the kind of neighbourhood place that feels like home – I could easily become a regular. We’re all offered birthday cake by one of the customers. The Rocks Brewery rotating tap aids The Little Guy’s craft beer following. My visit gives single batch Little Creatures.

With a street facade painted dramatic black, The Little Guy features a huge window that opens out to Glebe Point Road where elevated drinkers sip wine and cocktails. Walk into the cosy front area to see the bar with handwritten drinks menus on clipboards, with some seats at the bar and plenty of space down the back of the converted house and even upstairs. Bloody Mary and popcorn at The Little Guy, Glebe Point Road, Glebe If it's a Sunday, you'll need to order the $10 special on their Bloody Mary. With the greatest use of garnishes I've seen in a Bloody Mary, this vodka, tomato juice and worcestershire sauce cocktail is rolled rather than shaken, with your choice of Tabasco sauce levels. It's one of t

This quaint, neighbourhood bar is the perfect location for a date, where the drinks flow easy and the bartenders are always up for a chat, making them a reliable ice breaker if the conversation with your date isn’t flowing. The Little Guys has a quirky, handwritten cocktail lists that changes weekly and have loaded up on the craft beer, making the ideal him and her drink list. They also offer up delicious free spicy popcorn to munch on during those long pauses of silence. Be warned, if you are a local/ have friends in this area, you will most likely bump into them all, better get your story straight of how you met! It is a great watering hole, hidden from the busy city, perfect to get cosy over a few drinks. You could go all in and order bourbon, chill with a beer or be a little spontaneous and order a cocktail, whichever drink you decide, it will aid the conversation flow. Warning, your biggest obstacle here will be finding the bar– the entrance is a non-descript alley door with no signage, good luck. Shady Pine Saloon Shop 4, 356 Crown Street, Darlinghurst, Sydney NSW Web: shadypinessaloon.com Hit the Sweet Spot: Chanoma, Sydney CBD The way to someone’s heart varies person to person, the way to my heart for instance is cheese but more often than not, the way to someone’s heart is sweets. Nice place but stupid music. I went hee and they played wicked game by chris issack three times in a row for some reason! I hate that. My partner and i were distracted but the drinks were very fresh all good so must give a credit for that

Great small bar. We have been here several times and it's my favourite hangout in Glebe. The highlights are the great service at the beer, free spiced popcorn, and the selection of beers. There's only a few beer taps but there's also a wide range of bottled beer in the fridge.

This place has seriously delicious cocktails, great live music and THE BEST free popcorn you ever tasted. Get amongst it.

Loved!. Caught up last night with some friends and really enjoyed it. The staff were terrific, friendly, unassuming, efficient. So refreshing to get real service without attitude. The mulled wine was to die for and the spiced popcorn hit the spot. A lovely low key and relaxed vibe. If this is what the small bar movement is about bring it on! Definitely intend coming back.

Cool little hole-in-the wall wine bar/pub to go on a Sunday night. Great live music and good service.
