Review Banh Mi Co - Sydney

Nathaniel Marin
Ate the Grilled Beef Roll. Was unique given the meat was saucy. The roll was great, however at a price of $11.5, this was extremely steep. If you are in Pyrmont craving a pork roll - this is your place. However would not go out of my way to get it.

Customer service was great and Friendly. I had a pork banh and it was freshly made in front of me. Best to get there early or you could miss out as they do run out of buns due to being popular 👌👌👌

Exceptional Banh Mi run by the most wonderful team. Make mine a marinated Chicken Banh Mi with chilli on brown! This never place disappoints. Local tip come before 12.30pm as it gets very busy!

This place is very much an institution for the Pyrmont community. The rules are grey for takeaway but do beware during a lunch time it is extremely busy the turnaround time for wave is not long but do expect a crowd. The beef pho is tasty and authentic

This place is great I especially love their cracking pork roll everything is super fresh and the staff are awesome the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that as nice as the food is and the great service you get it is slightly over prices there is a place on George St I go to as well and they only charge $5.50 for the same thing but their salads are just amazing and I've never had a bad experience there highly recommended.....

The pork roll is stacked and really fresh ingredients. It's delicious. it is also $8 which is a bit steep for a bahni mi place, but when you are in Pyrmont it's about as cheap a lunch as you can get.

This is a must visit if you’re in the area. Perfect for a quick grab and go lunch if you’re stuck in meetings all day. Or grab your roll and eat it in the sun by the water down the street. The best service, traditional banh mi on a crunchy roll with fresh ingredients and, well priced for Pyrmont - what more could you ask for?

Still the best banh mi in Sydney. Not soggy like others I’ve tried. Fresh ingredients & always popular at lunch times. Spring rolls, fried rice, vermicelli noodle salad and Laksa all epic as well. Worth the wait.

The roll was fairly good, particularly a very crusty roll although the interior was as chewy as it was fluffy. They really didn't put much ingredients in and the pate and chilli was poorly distributed - at first, I thought there wasn’t any of either but then I found big globules. I’d rate it a 3 normally (4 if it were thicker) but $8 for this is ridiculous. You don’t even have to go to the well-known suburbs for a better deal, since Marrickville Pork Roll now sells much better rolls for $6 in Darling Harbour while Bread Rolls on Harris charges $5.50 and is about as good.

I have been here on a quiet afternoon so no qeue there. Its a small convenient canteen with really friendly staff, place looks clean amd cozy. I get the clasic pork roll for 8$ bred was really fresh and tasty with little bit of crunch, roll was stuffed with pork and topings which you can choose. Overall really good pork roll one thing that bother me was that all topings are cold sp you cant really taste the flavour so i went home and tosted my pork roll, but thats only a personal preference, this place
is defo worth a stop 🙂

One of my favourite places. They have 4 out of 4: quick, tasty, authentic, cheap. All Bahn Mi options available are worth trying (and ask for extra Chili)!

Yum yum yum is the only way to describe it !!! Get yourself a pork or beef (it's the bomb) banh mi or a chicken laksa, it will be sure to satisfy your hunger.

The food was really awesome.. Was searching a place near to my office for lunch and finally ended up here. Really a nice place, kind host and not to forget super awesome and tasty food. I ordered lemongrass tofu rice and believe me it was fantastic. Must go , recommended place.. Definitely visit again.

A cute little family run business with great food and even better banh mi!! The lines at the front of the shop, EVERYDAY are evidence enough.

The lovely owner, Sandra takes a personal approach to her preparation and service as you are welcomed in. Tucked in the edge of harris street, the mix of locals and workers are treated to a selection of soups, laksa, vermicelli salads and other Vietnamese dishes.

The handmade peppery SPRING ROLLS were a great intro to the meal featuring crunch, aroma and flavor! The CRISPY SKIN CHICKEN is one of the signature rice dishes, accompanied with tomato rice, fried egg and salad. Such a great combination, this is the pefect Winter meal to have on your next lunch out or pickup to take back with you to the office. Beautifully cooked and generous portions!

There was barely enough room for the PORK BANH MI which is one of the key stars in the range of Vietnamese rolls they offer. Full of freshness and zing in this roll the pork slices with accents of pate in every bite, it does not disappoint.

I found this place after following the most aromatic smell on the street, of something being cooked up in the kitchen! This place serves up the best banh mi. It's fresh, clean and full of flavour. This is the best feed in pyrmont, don't deny yourself!! This place gets packed, there is always a line out the door at lunch time so make sure you get in early because they do sell out of the banh mi. The pork chop and rice is also delicious, everything here is really.

This is the best Vietnamese in our local area (Pyrmont). I've tried the rice paper rolls and chicken pho - both extremely delicious! The best part was they did not seem to put a lot of MSG or any at all in their pho soup unlike other Vietnamese restaurants so I am not thirsty after. I also prefer the chicken breast they use here.

I also saw lots of people getting the rolls at lunch so I presume they're also really good.

Banh Mi Co is incredible! I'm a big lover of Vietnamese food and Banh Mi Co get it right on so many levels. I tried their pork Banh mi, chicken pho and spring rolls.

The Banh mi is up there with the best of them; it's all about the bread and their bread is crunched to perfection. The chicken pho's broth was aromatic and flavoursome and was only enhanced as I drenched my soup in sriracha. The spring rolls were overflowing with filling, Banh Mi Co isn't the place for deflated air rolls.

Service is impeccable. If eating in, get in early because this placed is packed for the lunch rush.

This place is fantastic. Located on the leafy side of Pyrmont - the Banh Mi is fresh and crunchy and packed with flavour. I really like the Grilled Beef banh mi as it has a really nice level of bite to it. Also make sure you order the Beef curry OMG nothing short of incredibly amazing. Boss Lady Sandra is the best and the customer service here is fast and attentive.

Best Banh Mi! I am seriously addicted. The warm pork Definetly Tips it off. The guys down there are friendly as well :) I could literally taste the freshness. Ah thank you!!

Had Banh mi and Pho there. The roll filling is quite generous, flavour is quite nice, bit on the sweet side comparable to Marrickville Pork Roll.

Pho portion also quite generous, also soup on the sweet side but flavour changes each time I went but still they are quite OK. Beef is also cooked inside the hot soup and dipping into sriracha sauce really good.

If you want Pho around Pyrmont, this is recommended.

Best Banh Mi ever in Australia. I have tried them all from Marrickville to Mascot to Cabramatta to Richmond (Melbourne) and now to Pyrmont....this place is the best by far and I am not even a relative. The whole combo of where they get their ingrediants from comes together in a huge fusion of taste. Be perapred for a wait after noon but it's totally worth the wait. Go now if you can!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the little piggy stamp marking this one a pork roll. While on the pricier side at $6, it is still a good lunch option. The pate had a good flavour and always love a large stick of cucumber to break up the heat of the fresh chilli.

Awesome chicken roll!. They sell one of the best chicken roll in town! At $6.50, these rolls will rock your world!

Bad experi3nce unfortunately. Loved this place. So tasty, and not expensive. But unfortunately i wont be back. Had a bad experience that ruined it for me. Basically in queue to order and two people of asian nationality walked straight to the front of the queue and was served before the 6 or so non asian people. Sucks and i hope nobody else experiences this

Quest For Best
Very good tasting pork rolls, was extremely busy during the lunch time, but worth the15 min wait. In my top 5 for Banh mi in the country. Very fresh and worth every penny of the $6 they cost.

Love Banh Mi Co. Everything I have eaten from there is fresh and delicious. Their banh mi rolls are easily the best I have ever had.

Spam Banh Mi anyone?. Ahh Banh Mi... My favourite lunchtime treat. Stumbled on Banh Mi Co whilst working in Pyrmont for the day. Loved the vegetables, decent amount of fresh chilli and spring onion, also the fresh crusty roll was pretty ok, however there were two strips of frankly disturbing looking 'pork' alongside a tiny amount of real pork. One strip was flourescent pink and looked like spam and the other a white version of the same. There was also a couple of bits of pork skin that were inedible. Apparently these were added for an authentic tase of different pork cuts, but having been to Vietnam and eaten many versions of Pork Banh Mi, I disagree that this is in any way authentic. Not a particularily pleasant Banh Mi experience sadly.
