Standard Aussie old school pub, in the best possible way. Good value simple meals. Nice pork belly roast. Beers on tap including some of the greats (Reschs, VB). They didn't have Foxtel though which is a pretty big miss - couldn't watch the AFL game we wanted. Pretty disappointing for a place called "Bat & Ball" and down the street from the SCG!

The bar service was good, friendly and efficient. Don't come here for the steak. We had them on a Monday night they were awful--dry, chewy, tasteless and terrible cut of meat. Definitely not cooked medium. Not worth $26 at all. We should have taken that as a sigh that few people were actually eating there at dinner time. We live in the area definitely won't be back for the food.

I love the bat and ball. Best chicken wings I've had outside the USA with ACTUAL RANCH on the side! Beers are cold. Staff are wonderful. Really well priced too. Becoming my go to pub even when there's no sport on.

Hands down the best veggie Sunday roast in Sydney.
They don’t try and give you any of those meat replacements, just loads of yummy roast veggies and cauliflower and cheese are fantastic Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy.

$10 for a kg or $16 for 2kg of wings on a Monday night with any drink purchase was definitely the draw card for us this evening. There had also been reviews on urban list that these were some of the best wings in Sydney - they were ok. A little dry and not so spicy for hot wings but good value for he price. The nachos were pretty damn good and service was pretty awesome too.

Dropped in for a Saturday afternoon Pale Ale. In this case also a taste test. Great old pub right near Moore Park. Very nice old Australian pub feel. Staff were super friendly

Nice Aussie pub with choice of beers. Decent food and spacious. Popular with locals as well as those in the area for Moore Park or events. Food is good but not much variety. The bar is well stocked and the crowd attractive.

July 2016 - I usually love this place, but they had new staff in there the other day with attitude and that were really unhelpful. Hope they usual staff are coming back or we probably won't be! 3 stars.
June 2017 - again with the new staff telling us we can't get our usual order mixing mash with salad or veg with chips! At least they are nice and polite about it this time, but still need to leave their mark, is it worth it!?! Even the advert that the staff contradicts is displayed! The kitchen staff are so nice and the owners are great too, so really annoying when I have go into the toilet to take a photo of the offer for tonight so I can quote it to the staff! I love this pub and come even though I've moved out of the area, but come on! Kitchen staff saved the day again! Small things make a difference! 2.5 stars.
