Review Ll Wine And Dine - Sydney

I don't write a lot of reviews, but my Valentines Day experience here made it a must write. This place had a lot of good word of mouth recommendations, but when my wife and I dined here we had a pretty bad experience. The staff, although friendly either lost or forgot about our orders on more than one occasion. Our food order was lost and we only started to receive our food after I asked the staff how long the wait would be. The food then came in a frantic rush, in the wrong order and with no consideration for timing. For example, the tables for 2 are quite small so we had to then eat very quickly for one plate to be substituted for another. The drinks were also slow and we couldn't wait any longer for the bill, so we walked up to the front. In essence, the service was really bad. As for the food, it was average. Definitely not up to the level of good reviews or expectations we had been given. The mains had way too much sauce and as such were rich and overpowering. So much that you could only taste the thick sauce, not the meat, vegetables or the mix of herbs and spices that you would want. Of the 5 of so dishes we had, I couldn't really recommend any one of them. We had such high hopes but sadly, this is one to avoid.

Quite good value, you are guaranteed to have a full belly with All You Can Eat Sunday. The place has an upbeat and lively atmosphere because of the live music. Do not expect good services and you won't be disappointed. The waiting staff seems to pay no attention who walks in and out (you need to look for someone who works there when you arrive). The waitress we had on the day grudgingly sat us down and explained to us that "All You Can Eat" is not really "All You Can Eat" (it's "What The Chef Serves You, You Eat"). She then went on spending more time chatting with the bartender and musicians than attending to the customers. The best thing about the food is it doesn't seem to have any MSG. The sweet potato chips are great with the citric dipping sauce. The prawn toasts are quite special. The Japanese starter is totally unnecessary for Yum Cha. The steamed dumplings, the chicken and the piece of pork are a pass. The spring rolls are really, really oily, and the fried rice needs more seasoning. However, if you feel like stuff yourself silly with food and don't mind a bit of live jazz music, you should try this place at least once.

Service was great & nice vibe. Small menu, but good range of choices. Starters were good, mains not so much. We may have made bad choices, pork belly was very sickly in the sweet sauce and the beef cheek was lacking in flavour. The prawn and scallop dim sims were delicious though, could have just eaten a plate of those!

Some really delicious food in slick surroundings. A few of the dishes were a little too sugar-heavy with thick sauces, but the seafood dishes were sublime. Great for taking a group of friends, ordering an array of dishes and having a try of everything. Don't miss out on the cocktails as they have a great range - if you're not sure which one/s to pick, have a chat with the waiters and they'll fill you in on what cocktails might best suit your palate.

Great cocktails and lovely place but I'm afraid the food we chose was very poor. I love salty food and have an Asian upbringing, however the prawn and pork dumplings were inedible and we only ate half the Kung Pao chicken because we were hungry. This is the second time I have ever complained about a meal, I'm easily pleased. The manager demanded to know what we meant by "too salty"! She was unapologetic and unhelpful despite letting her know after the entree our disappointment.

Lovely staff, but the food was horrible. Inedible. Quality wasn’t there (not fresh and tasted reheated) and the flavours were way off. Such a shame as the ambience outside was lovely and as mentioned, the staff were great (although our waitress had only been working there 2 days, we advised her to leave). Going home with empty tummy’s and feeling slightly sick from the few bites we had.

The pork belly pork buns with green curry sauce is insane good! Topped them off with a couple of seriously good cocktails and I was in heaven! Price was great considering the quality and service. Ambience is awesome and relaxed. A MUST GO if your in the area!

Went to LL Wine and Dine last night Food was great value for two people. We had edamame (great), duck and cabbage dim sum (ok), massaman curry crumbed lamb popcorn (great) and the crispy pork belly (AMAZING). Cocktails were nice, nothing special but a great selection. I would go again, after what we had it cost about 115 dollars so between two people super affordable for a friday night out. The hostes was great, very accommodating and had no problems moving us inside when it got cold. Can't wait for have the crispy pork belly again!!!
