This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been in Sydney. Not only the cosy environment and delicious transitional Chinese food, but also the friendly service. It is a best choice for family and friends gathering. I definitely will go another time.

Not a bad place to try Chinese cuisine, however some of the sauce are bit sweet for me as I personally prefer more savoury. The spicy fish dish are worth to order and some of the potk ribs dish and prawns dishes are good too. The portion is not too big so keep that in mind. Also don't rely on the pictures from the menu.....You might get disappoint. Overall I rate this place 3/5 😀

Place was Nice and Clean, Atmosphere was good. Unfortunately food was average for the high price (Salt pepper pork rib was missing salt and salt n peper squid came just before we finished the meal had to ask 4x too) Service was rude and unwelcoming from the moment we sat down to getting the bill we felt that the floor staff was trying hard to rush us out the door and not one smile or friendly face the whole time... Never coming back

Rude and inattentive waitress with freezing face. Food was average. But terrible service from that young female waitress made us felt very uncomfortable. Never going back there again.

We ordered soft shell crab, sweet and sour pork with strawberry and apple, beef with teriyaki sauce, shallot pancake, seafood fried rice and salt & pepper pork spare ribs. The winner was the diced beef with teriyaki sauce. It melted in the mouth, so tender. The second winner was the soft shell crab. The ambiance was also very nice and elegant. This place would be great for business meeting or family gathering.

So, I just tried to google why so many round shapes show up in Chinese architecture and decoration and I couldn’t figure it out. So, they’ve made a skyscraper… that’s round. And while it says it alludes to a coin, I’m not quite sure why. And I’m Chinese. Shouldn’t I know?

Came on a Scoopon voucher and really enjoyed this. Service was efficient and friendly, and the decor is much nicer than your average chinese restaurant. The menu is not huge but we enjoyed what we ordered, including the golden egg yolk prawn and black pepper steak. The dishes were perfectly executed, very tasty and not greasy at all.

Nothing special about the dishes but they have a great ambience. There are many other Chinese restaurants in the city that unfortunately offer much better values compared to this restaurant.

I love the decoration style, it is so sweet surrounded by many flowers and candles, making me feel very relax and comfortable. It is a best place for family and friends gathering. I definitely will come again.

Sichuan ninja!!!<br/><br/>I had no idea this place is a restaurant, i walk pass it often and always thought it was an art store or beauty salon.<br/><br/>Beijing and Sichuan style cooking serving up that reminds me of GZ Southern China when i was there.<br/><br/>The beef sichuan chilli dish was what got me, beef soaked in Sichuan chilli and pepperconi gives you a nice numbing feeling with some heat.<br/><br/>Their sweet and sour whole fried fish was cooland tasty too ... love the sauce.<br/><br/>Inside didnt look like a typical chinese restaurant but a modern trendy place you want to come to relax.<br/><br/>If you like heat .... bring on the Sichuan chilli beef.....<br/><br/>Until next time ... keep eating!!!!<br/><br/>

The name Dong Tian (Tony) Li may not be familiar to western ears but he i s a legendary figure in his native China. He is not only a stylist to the stars but also the owner of a chain of salons and proprietor of his own brand of make-up. Being the consummate businessman, Li spotted an opportunity and began opening ‘Cosy Cafes’ next to all his salons – these new venues were designed to be luxurious, comfortable and were all decorated with framed pictures of Tony’s artwork.

Awesummmm ambience and food. Unlike other Chinese restaurant with simple images and lanterns around. It provides fine dinner lever food with a suitable price. We had some signature dishes. It all was great! Loved the cocktail! Must tryyy :)

The Beijing and Sichuan cuisine at Dongtian was delicious and beautifully presented. My personal favourite was the ox tongue with the sweat and spicy sauce and the fried tofu was not dry nor oily at all, you can taste the original tofu flavor.<br/>If you are a chinese or korean pancake lover, I highly recommend the spring onion pancake, it's a great value for money.<br/>Apart from providing tasty food, they also provide private rooms for groups which can fit 10 to 20 ppl, it's a good spot for large events.<br/>

This Chinese restaurant offers excellent food, surprisingly good cocktails and fantastic customer service. Waking in, I was feeling comfy and relaxing. It is a great place that I would recommend friends and family to hand out after a busy working day or even just a place to chill and chat. Wonderful dinning experience, I had a blast :)

Very convinced location in the CBD, the environment is quite and graceful as a fine dinning restaurant, but the price is not that expensive. Also the traditional Chinese food are tasty. Their fish and stir fry dishes are very good as well. Highly recommended to go with friends and family.
