Friendly service, great atmosphere and really tasty food. I got a fresh juice and the pulled pork Turkish sandwich. Both were excellent. Also the coffee was good too.

This is absolutely stunning, just like those tiny cutie cafe in Tokyo. Come at night and try the dinner menu:)))

It was a busy morning when I ordered the cheeseburger with fries. The rating only primarily reflects on the fact that it took roughly twenty-five minutes to bring out the order while other beverage orders were being taken care of, but I guess that has to do with turning up the fryer/oven. The food itself was delicious.

I love this place more than my first born child.
Food is undeniably delectable, Layla being the magician in the back making it all happen.
Coffee is consistently good quality.
The burgers here will make your dreams come true.

First of all. My review is purely based on the fact that this place is dead empty when I went in.

Very much so a hidden gem when it comes to getting your Japanese savoury pancake fix. Foodwise if you close your eyes... you are in Japan. Very authentic. Very friendly staff and happy to accomodate your needs, in terms of customisation.

Only criticism I can make if any is the place doesn’t look that japanese at all, since at daytime it is marketed as a cafe.

Free wifi too.

I went for dinner after the chef, who is extremely nice and friendly, offered me a sample of the okonomiyaki; it's amazing and I LOVED the mentaiko pasta as well. I do wish the server was a little more attentive but overall it was a great experience!

I don't usually share with the world this kind of things but due to my great satisfaction today I will do an exception.

Yesterday I went for the second time with my wife and daughter at Refn Courtyard Cafe for a late breakfast. Unfortunately I didn't find the cake that I tried the first time so I decided to give a go to the Pulled Pork and the girls took the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon.

Well, the Pulled Pork was really delicious, with an amazing sauce and small other ingredients to balance the taste on my palate. It was so delicious that once at home I didn't want to drink for a while to avoid to get rid of the nice flavour in my mouth.

The Eggs Benedict where great as well, we tried it already some time in other places and this is the best one we had until now! Everyone was really satisfied about the quality of the meal.

The atmosphere of the backyard was quite relaxing with the simplicity of its green decorations. That's a really good place where to go to relax for a cup of tea or coffee.

The cafe is like an unexpected gift. In my life I have been in some expensive restaurants eating small portion of poor quality food, where they sell you just the name. Discover a cafe like this that serves you great quality food for an affordable price is really amazing.

It was a pity leaving the place and see a couple of customers walking in and ask for the usual hamburger and chips while they could just order some delicious food.

If you are nearby, give it a go. It is totally worth! :-)

Great little cafe!
Nice friendly service.
Tried the breakfast (which is served all day), fresh and tasty.
I only recommend having more allergy friendly foods like gluten free and dairy free (like gluten free bread and almond milk) :-) Thanks!

If I hadn’t been on a mission to find this little cafe, I never would’ve stumbled across it. Located just off of Redfern St and flanked by terrace houses, Refn blends into its surroundings. It’s that time of semester where you need at least one coffee before even being able to think about going to class and so here I was, strolling through Redfern with Google Maps out, looking for this place.
Four Fifth On Food
It was a Saturday morning, a friend and I went to Redfern to visit this little cafe for a quick brunch before going for an ice skating session. Front appearance - clean and simple We went inside and saw this interesting piece hanging on the wall. Before I die I want to... Unfortunately there's no space so we couldn't leave our prints there :p Oh btw, did you notice the phone number there? Haha The courtyard We had a peek at the courtyard and it looked super comfy. Perfect spot to have a cuppa during summer time. Since it was quite cold and wet outside, we opted to stay inside and ordered these dishes. Beef burger ($9.50) This dish consisted of beef patty, a slice of bacon, cheese, and some mixed greens. I didn't order the accompanying chips ($2 addition) because it would be too huge for me. This dish was very fulfilling by the burger itself. Too bad that the patty was a bit overcooked, otherwise, it would be the bomb. Tomato and mushroom omelette ($10) My friend chose to order this dis
