We had $10 lunch special here. The husband was in charge of the cooking and wife was waiting. Across the restaurant was a table of 8 school kids. I was in a rush but understood delay due to the large order from those kids. Next thing I knew the wife brought us free green tea to apologize for the delay. My hubby had pork katsu and I had beef yakiniku. Both were surprisingly good, beef was better than pork katsu. You couldn't ask for more for a $10 meal.

I came here on my own for lunch. It was very quiet, hardly anyone dining. I liked it that way. I had the music channel to keep me entertained. <br/>I had the chicken katsu combo and I didn't leave a single scrap behind. The taste and serving was spot on and for $10 I was impressed.

Love it!. This is a neighbourhood favourite for me. The pork katsu is the best I have had anywhere, the breadcrumbs are the best, extra light and crispy. The deals are incredible value for money and the service is always warm and attentive. Definitely recommend.

Huge flavour. Went there 2 nights ago, the food is fantastic!!!! Amazing, fresh flavoursome Japanese food. My favourite dish was a prawn one, the prawns so succulent and cooked to perfection. We were sitting just behind the kitchen and I noticed how super clean it was, big plus.Just a couple of tips for them....they need to dim the lights a little..too bright and maybe put on some traditional Janpanese music in background, I think by making these tiny changes it could be soooo much better and inviting. Highly recommend this little gem in Surry Hills, it is now my new favourite place to go.

A friendly and generous place. Our first visit last night to this restaurant proved to be a happy experience. good to great food, excellent service and very reasonable prices. And a bonus! a medium sized plate filled with a generous fresh prawn salad. Will certainly return.

Great place. Three of us dined there on 31st july 2014 and had a great meal: everything was very tasty, well-cooked and nicely presented- and it only came to $82; the staff were also very pleasant and helpful. we would happily go back.
