Probably the worst sushi I have come across to date. The rolls were extremely dry. The chicken and cucumber roll was practically empty, only had the a chicken a quarter way through in the roll. Won’t go there again.

I have come here numerous times and I have had the spicy box here and me and my friends love the food here. I am quite shocked at the reviews here cause I been coming here for years and never experienced any bad customer service. Great food and great customer service!

I was tossing up between 2-3 stars but feeling generous.
So, my issue with this place is not the food. I usually get an assortment of their individual spicy sushi & its always delicious. My daughter usually gets the fresh salmon rolls & is also happy.
What I am displeased about is the service, which is more often than not on the rude and dismissive side. I've also been treated as though I was pushing in line when I've asserted myself when customers arriving after me were about to be served before me, after I'd already been waiting for well over 5 minutes for service. I think they could benefit from a ticket system as the lunch rush can be quite busy.
Also, the cleanliness or the lack there of is a problem. The counter surfaces away from the main register area are dirty and in desperate need of a scrub down. And the small seating area is filthy with wobbly table which feel like they area going to collapse any second. The shop is in need of some TLC.
This place has a lot of potential.

Like most Hero Sushi outlets, the assortment and quality of the food cannot be faulted. But their service was terrible! The young lady refused to acknowledge me and turned away as soon as I paid and started to serve the person behind me before I even collected the bag. I walked away and lucky I didn't leave the center completely because they forgot the chopsticks and napkins!! Very poor customer service. Even when I smiled and tried to thank her I was just ignored like I didn't even exist!

Wish I could give zero stars. STALE ROLLS TUNA AVACADO , unhappy person serving looking at people faces.who are you to gudge people with face by the way. Give me a fresh sushi roll for the BIG price you charge. I'm not paying that price for a stale roll which is hiding behind fresh rolls. It's a shame on you to serve stale rolls and keep fresh rolls to be served the next day. Don't waste your money get fresh food instead.

Very unhappy and unpleasant experience. I purchased 2 black rice salmon avocado rolls from hero sushi, and got food poisoning from it and was very sick for the next few days.
Furthermore, very expensive for the quality and quantity of the size. There is not much filling inside the roll considering it's $3.80 per roll.
I will never eat here again, and definitely not recommend. I wish I read others reviews on Google before I ate here.

I wouldn't give stars if I could
My husband and I were waiting to buy sushi while the staff were chatting. We gave the staff a "Hello". We were pretty sure they were looking at us, but they kept talking! bad service! I'm not going to buy any more!

An okay sushi place. Value is poor and prices are disproportionate to the quantity of food. Make sure you come early in the day whilst the sushi is fresh otherwise you can tell your not getting fresh food.

I am a regular visitor to hero sushi outlets around Sydney but the one in Strathfield did not live upto the expectations.Took their black rice veg tempura and chixken avocado sushi rolls. The sushi tasted a bit stale and the veggies were very less.

Nice wether like this afternoon, sushi is perfect choice for lunch!
What I love from this place, sushi was handcrafted and wrapped individually, looks more hygiene and more safety in mind.
Sushi rice was fresh, soft, delicate yet so tasty with topping.

$6.90 for a good portion of chicken katsu don. Good price compared to surrounding Japanese restaurants at Strathfield. Fills you up, recommended!

Bought avocado roll and salmon in black rice roll.
Each comes individually wrapped in plastic for convenient eating, 2 soya sauce and 1 wasabipaste packet.Rolls are tasty and seaweed has a nice coloring and texture.Nice selection of other rolls and other products but no eel :(.

Product 4.5
Service 4.5
Ambience (they have tables) 4
Packaging 4.5 (individual wrapped rolls handy and near logo on paper bag shows they make an effort)

If you ever come to this place, you MUST try the Takoyaki - octopus/squid with potato balls. There's two small balls on top of a small tofu pocket (Inari),and for $2, I don't think you can go wrong. The rainbow and dragon rolls are also really good! Only downside is that they don't come in rolls, but individual pieces and it does add up quickly in terms of price!

In Strathfield Plaza you can get yourself some tasty sushi from here. The service is always very friendly and the sushi always seems fresh even towards the end of the day. I snagged any 2 sushi rolls for $5 special. It was a pretty good deal. I had the Black Rice Chicken Avo Roll & Chicken Katsu Roll. Both were flavoursome.

Its such a relief to have some consistently good quality sushi in Strathfield. Hero Sushi has the option of whole rolls or individual portions of aburi salmon, scallops, tempura vege etc. the prices are reasonable but sometimes the grilled ones have been in the cabinet for a little while so they won't be hot. There is also a nice (but limited) selection of hand rolls with black rice which makes a tasty change.
