Torn between a 3 or 4 star with this experience to be honest. Venue, excellent - loved the decor! Service - good. When it came to the food, I was going in expecting more….(though it was the first lockdown meal after restrictions ended, so may have been a tad bit too excited…. The fish fingers, EXCELLENT! I’d be happy to have a few plates! Zucchini flowers, nothing spectacular. Grilled Octopus… again, nothing standout. Mushroom, Garlic, Parmesan and fried egg…. Interesting, was not a fan. It’s one of those confusing dishes that you walk away thinking, why?! Ricotta Dumplings, great! I’d have more of these please. Pork Sausage….. okay this really needs to be taken off the menu. It’s basic, tasteless twirled up meat thrown at you in a pool of sauce, disappointing! Porchetta & Rhubarb, simply bland, boring and pointless.
Not sure how I feel about re-visiting this place….

The team here are absolutely beyond. Super knowledgeable, super friendly and the tapas are legit. Wine list is crazy, left with a bottle of Riesling (which I didn’t think I liked), how wrong I was. The team are more than happy to let you try a glass of any bottle, and leave it open and offer it around to other people dining which is a really good shout. Great way for people to share different wines when they’re all fresh. Wish I lived within stumbling distance. Legends.

One of my favourite (and less well known reccos) around Sydney, and a must for wine lovers.
Not only is the food all absolutely delish, but I love that you can taste a few wine varieties before deciding on a glass. Perfect for people that love to try something new.
Ideal for a light meal and wine. Due to the bar seating arrangement, the venue is best enjoyed in groups of 2 - it could be hard to converse in larger groups.

Really nice moody intimate tapas bar. Not sure what it'd be like for a group but for two people the vibe was good. Great soundtrack throughout the night. The tapas are well portioned. We had the fish fingers which were excellent; grilled cos, charred corn and manchego which was very nice; the entrana was not bad, pretty tasty (I wouldn't order again though); and they were gracious enough to give us one ricotta dumpling to try instead of a full serve - which we loved. The basque cheesecake was a great way to finish the night. We enjoyed how our waitstaff recommended wines to us rather than choosing from a list. There are some good non-alcoholic options too. As it was our honeymoon, she also gifted us a glass of yuzushu which was so kind, and the yuzushu was incredible.

If you don’t like virgin olive oil or raw onion, don’t try fish finger. If you don’t like smoked food, don’t order clam, cuz it’s double smoked. Octopus and wagyu beef are reasonably good.
!!! But the mushrooms really are worth trying! The sauce and the nice cooked egg underneath make it incredibly tasty!!!
Service is pretty good but music and people talking are a bit too loud.

Outrageously good food!
Lovely welcoming ambience during dinner time on a weekday. Staff were very sweet and attentive. Im still dreaming about the food and will definitely go back.
Favourites: pork, octopus and apple salad, the pumpkin blue cheese dumplings 👌🏼✨ and house classic (king) fish fingers
Amazing

Our overall experience was positive with attentive service from the waiting staff. The food was generally tasty and came in good portions. My favourite dish was the chicken mole that was cooked perfectly. The desserts (banana split and chocolate brownie) however were not to our taste.

Such a lovely place to dine in! Excellent staff, excellent service, menu is pretty simple, most of them are seafood. ordered four dishes for two people. One of the best beef tongue that I’ve ever had.
Btw, their loo has a little table in it which is very thoughtful.
Will go again.
