I ordered from Northern Chinese Cuisine via Uber Eats last night. I am a regular customer. I had some leftover tofu stir fry, which I ate some for lunch. While I was eating, I notice a large sharp crunch in my mouth. I immediately spat this out and found a large piece of glass in my food. My tongue was split and blood was pouring out of my mouth. Lucky I spat this out! This just wasn't a small piece of glass, but a size of my finger nail. I bled for about 20 minutes and with trips to the doctor. If I did swallow this glass, I would have caused some serious damage, probably could have nearly died. I have been into contact with Uber who are looking into the issue. This is terrible. As a regular customer for a few months now I am shocked.This is a food safety issue with a foreign object in my food. I will never go here again. I would like to make people aware to check your food if you eat here. I have attached photos of the glass in my food, and how much blood came out of my tongue.

Ordered the Steamed Barramundi with Soy Sauce for takeaway. Fish tasted soft and tender. Keen to try more dishes from here in the future.

Nice no-frill Northern Chinese food which is their speciality. We had the fried pork and cold noodles both were great tasted authentic like those in northern China.

Did takeaway for this, all I can say is that the food sucked a lot. The sweet and sour chicken tasted starchy as hell, barely taste the meat anywhere. Nearly puked because of it. The pork dumplings tasted awful and the texture was basically plain bread. In contrast to tastiness compared to store bought frozen dim sum, the frozen dumplings would take the cake. If my grandma were to taste this, she would barrage the restaurant and throw insults at the chef. May God forbid this restaurant.

If you are not Chinese skip this place. It’s the customer service, they are not bothered or look happy to even take the order, the lady at the front uses her excuse of not knowing English to be extremely rude with her actions and they act like they are doing a favour by even taking the order. She never takes her head out of her mobile, when the takeaway is finally ready, she almost throws the box on the table and walks away. It's anybody's guess who's takeaway order that was(the receipt is not in English) and she won't pay attention if you try to ask. I have been a repeat customer because of convenience of being in the same building but no matter how understanding you are you eventually run out of patience.
