Review Coffee Trails - Sydney

Michael Bell (Mequel)
First time here. Staff friendly and quick to serve. Got an extra strong coffee which is always a test of a good barista and it was great. Very quick to make as the barista is efficient. Update: two days in a row and same great quality coffee.

First time here and didn’t have a good experience. We got 2 pastries and 2 small cappuccino, for a whopping total of 20$! And they weren’t that good. Cappuccino was watery and with no foam at all; the pastries were pretty big but they didn’t taste fresh (they should be since it was 8am) and they were a bit soggy as well. On a positive note, the service was quick. But go somewhere else if you want a nice breakfast!

Great spot to grab breakfast where you are greeted with a smile . Fresh and healthy options are available and good value for your dollar . Food was nice and fresh and really fast coffee was ok all up a good convenient place grab a bit .

Went there a month ago and had an amazing açai bowl. Went there today and had an açai bowl with nothing on it and the açai mixture had no taste. :(( went and asked for more topping and showed the photo from a month ago and all I got was a little spoonful more of granola. The first photo is the one I got a month ago compared to the second photo of the one I got today.

Great coffee and service - what else do you need when you want that jolt!

The coffee here is very good, though I was rather disappointed with the breakfast. Unless you like very strong flavours and plenty of garlic in your first meal of the day, I'd look elsewhere for brekkie.

Quick, convenient and tasty breakfast and coffee. Situated right next to central station. The breakfast burger is a great choice if you like pineapple.

Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Eggs Ben with brioche, salmon, and I asked for hollandaise sauce on the side. I gave 4 stars because it's what you would expect from a normal Eggs Ben - poached eggs, soft and lightly grilled brioche. Other places do it better, but this was a very decent breakfast
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I asked for chai tea with ice on the side as well, the waitress was very friendly and attentive.
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - today they were playing Michael Buble inside the cafe - it was beautiful 😊
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - for $16.50 I got a very fling breakfast and drink. At this price at most of the fancier cafes , it will get you 80% of an eggs ben!!!

My go to cafe when I am waiting for meetings to start. I love how the upstairs section has ample seating. Drinks a tad bit pricey but very good. Amazing soundtrack.

Good quality coffee.
Picollo cost you $3.50.
This little coffee shop located just before the entrance of pedestrians tunnel at central station from George street area.
They do gayer for breakfast and lunch as well.

This place is adorable. The staff are lovely, and efficient (yay!) and the cafe itself is sunning with big windows into railway square. There is a variety of pastries and a good menu of breakfast/lunch items. Coffee was delicious and well made. Well done guys, you are lovely!

(2.5/5.0) A two-storey cafe at Central Station, Coffee Trails is a cozy and warm coffee joint which overlooks the busy Railway Square. I did not know this outlet exists and have missed them completely. The cafe also offers some typical brekkie rolls and brunches.

I got myself a quick flat white. The flat white has a great proportion of espresso and milk, with the smooth velvety foam topping the coffee and providing a flavourful entree to the drink. Temperature is just right too although the quality of coffee grains is not the best.

Excellent coffee! I find that the food is pretty standard, though not bad at all - just your usual cafe options (sandwiches, croissants/pastries, little cakes and muesli options). Though, they seem to have more options on the dine in menu which I haven't tried. The coffee is great though, and this is a coffee shop - so that's what matters! Perfect to grab something on your way out of Central station. The barista is also super quick at making the coffee, which is also helpful for take-away orders.

Urgh this place. I don't know why I decided to give this over priced joint another go. Pictured is banana muffin priced at $4.80 and flavoured with fake banana syrup. How hard is it it add real banana to muffin??? Or tell people hey so we are uber cheap and even though you're paying $4.80 other than the fossilised candied banana on top you will get a super dry, sugary sweet 5 days old crumbly, muffin that is flavoured with a banana flavour that has been exitinct since 1800s. If I wanted fake banana flavour (which I loathe) I'd have had the $1banana candy. I have previously regretted buying from here. Paid $18 for a sickly brioche and mouldy juice. Honestly with Australian produces this place is a joke. Respect the customers and give us value for money. I'll hand out free bananas the day this place goes out of business 😡

Good coffee and a nice selection breakfast options. Indoor and outdoor seating under umbrellas. Great croissants too which looked so good we bought some for later.
I Love Food
Whilst visiting from interstate we dined here on Sunday morning for breakfast. I had the raisin toast with a chai and hubby enjoyed a bacon & egg brioche & apple juice. We both enjoyed our meals and we sat outside as it was a nice day out in the sun and a good place to people watch.

Next to the central station, good place to grab coffee on the go. Have seat both outside and inside. Food is high quality and served very fast. Glad we came here before we left Sydney!

Very tasty. Service was speedy and efficient and the food is very good for a cafe. Pleasabtly surprised with the portion size. Relatively inexpensive

I was there a couple of times around a year ago and their service at the time was not good, combined with overpriced food and dry (not fresh) muffins. One year on, their customer service has picked up (based on my one visit this week) however the menu still overpriced and poor food quality (bakery items sampled did not seem fresh (again), mass produced (in taste) on par of the budget ones you buy from a cheap cafe that has been stocked with preservatives and sits there...)
FoodieZealot
They are over expensive for the quality of the stuff they sell . I tried the almond croissant the other day and it was just okay and the coffee taste is a hit or miss. there are better places around.

This cafe is well located at the Central for profit wise only. I ordered Cappuccino tasted like skinny flat white without chocolate powder nor art on top. May be trying to make traditional Italian looking cappuccino without flavour. Medium espresso steamed very hot with thin non-creamy milk.

Good location and friendly staff. Happy to give it another try.

My coffee order (small, xtra strong almond mocha) was more expensive than on average in the CBD. Here I had to pay $5.10 whereas I usually pay $4.50.
Furthermore, I ordered a mocha and when I received the coffee there was zero(!) chocolate flavour. I find that many places put less chocolate in the mocha than I prefer (I really need to start asking for more lol) but in this instance there was zero chocolate.

The staff was very friendly though and quickly added more chocolate to (my otherwise very delicious) coffee.

Located conveniently near central station and near our hotel, we went there for breakfast on the weekend. Ordered the smashed avocado on rye bread, some coffees, a croissant, and a brownie.
Avo on bread arrived in a reasonable amount of time and tasted good together with the coffees. They forgot about our croissant and we had to go down and grab it.
Anyhow, pricewise its very reasonable and great for a quick bite. Brownie was rather delicious as well.

Shared the Ultimate Toastie - ordered this and was charged for a normal toastie, when the order was ready I realised they made a regular toastie so paid the extra for the one I had originally ordered and had to wait a while again....thank god I was not in a rush! I wish I didn't share it because I felt like eating the whole thing! Warning - it was slightly oily but that was probably from the truffle oil.

Stopped here for a quick coffee break and felt instantly refreshed with amazing coffee and the view that comes with the place. The breakfast menu look delicious but I left that for next time.

The coffee here is quite average but the location and ambiance is great. I loved the smashed Avo on toast - would recommend! Im keen to try other things from their simplistic yet yummy breakfast menu

Will and I visited Coffee Trails on our way to uni today. The shop is located just outside central tunnel, so it is a great pit stop on your way to the city.

I had managed to get a 2 for 1 coffee voucher for this cafe (the first time a flyer has proven useful...) so I was rather pleased to get two small skim caps for $3.50.

The service in general was nice and friendly. The barista was chatty and served us quickly. The coffees were good and definitely picked up my energy levels from the long train ride in.

The pastries caught my eye and so did my other voucher for their Vintage Cheddar and Onion Toastie for $3 (rather than the standard $5 price tag). Next time, I'll grab a toastie!

This place made my day. The coffee is average in Sydney high bar coffee culture, but the staff attitude were friendly and with passion. And of course, I had the cutest bio cup ever in my drinking life.

Having decent coffee shops located at various places around the CBD is very important to me as I'm not keen on wasting my time getting from one end of town to the other just for a caffeine hit. I have a few pitstop favourites in the core of town but I did
Cinntonic
Consistently good coffee. Well made coffee. The lunch options are interesting and tasty.

The.coffee is good. Be warned if u ask for takeaway they may give u a milky large instead of asking what size u want. Not good practice for a place trying to do great coffee. Also they're pretty slow at making coffee...often only one person doing the pour and the milk...plus they have the grinder behind them - silly set up. So expect at least 5 min wait for takeaway.
Stuart
My expectations are high when a place rates like Coffee Trails. The place is friendly enough with pleasant staff but sadly the coffee was bitter. I did chuckle at the irony of my table number being provided attached to a sugar pot. A sign of things to come perhaps? Oh well.

Good COFFEE!. Was visting Sydney for few days. had breakfast here.
plesant staff with good coffee and sandwich.

What a nice surprise: decent coffee in what looks like a CBD wasteland. This small cafe offers a small yet thoughtful menu made with great quality ingredients. The sourdough toast with triple berry jam is outstanding. My only complaint is that service can be slow - so don't duck in for a quick coffee if you've got a train to catch!
