Good pho with a more flavoursome soup than most and good rare beef, although it cooked quickly in the hot soup. It would be great pho at a moderate price but they were pretty stingy with any of the ingredients except noodles and broth.
So friendly and so sweet service. They even have a low carb pho!!! Made my day. Going to be a regular now 🍲.Your review needs to be at least 140 characters long.
I work around the corner and find Yen's to be a cheap, tasty and quick option for lunch. Always busy, it has a low-key vibe that I love - reminds me of some of the street food joints in Vietnam! I really like it because they provide many vegetarian and vegan options, complete with a vegan fish sauce substitute. I enjoy supporting this friendly, family run business. I recommend the vermicelli noodle salad with vegetarian spring rolls!
Great little hole in the wall place in Waterloo. Newly renovated but still the same vibe and prices. The pho is always reliable and tasty. Cash only!
This small Vietnamese eatery is located away from all the cool areas in the city but it’s worth making a detour (which can be justified by having gelato at Ciccone and Sons for dessert). Every time we’ve come on Monday night for a pre-meditation bowl of soup it’s been packed, which is always a good sign. The food is BBB (bueno, bonito y barato), generous in size, and consistently good. The tables are always stocked with the mandatory sauces, fresh chilli, tissues and a flask of hot tea that gets promptly replaced when needed.
The food is amazing. Authentic Vietnamese food, service is good. 4.5 because the restaurant is a bit dark and small. Overall, totally worth it to pay a few more dollars for such great meal.
This place is a hole in the wall- deceptively ordinary from the outside, however some of the best Vietnamese Ive had. The menu has enough to suit everyone's dietary requirements for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. The ingredients are fresh, the menu is well priced and the service is speedy. Really warm family run business, with a huge amount of regulars that pop in- highly recommended. ** Dez loved the grilled sugar cane prawn **
Beautiful food. Taste sensation! Walking past, it looks nothing special but these guys show how you don't need fancy settings to have a good business. It all boils down to the food on offer. We had chicken and prawn rice paper rolls. Filled with generous amounts of filling, the addition of mint leaves inside really brought it to another level. We also had spring rolls which came served with more fresh mint which you wrap the roll inside and then dip into homemade peanut sauce. We both had beef Pho as mains. Again, this was pretty good. Amazing value and fast service. Would recommend
One of the best pho that I've tried in Sydney! They were super duper accommodating to our group of six, when they were extremely busy. Honestly, can't rave enough over the pho with rare waygu beef.. plus BYO is always a bonus.
Who says Pho isn’t for breakfast? A nice bowl of warm and hearty pho in a cold autumn morning it’s exactly what you need. The aroma and umami from the stock it’s better than coffee, and a good hangover cure too. For A$4 more, you could have Wagyu beef too, what a bargain!
They have a raw or cooked beef option and the difference is serving the beef completely raw on the side vs serving the beef medium rare in the soup. I suggested to have cooked beef option since it was serve very medium rare so it won’t be over cooked and the problem with the raw beef option it’s that the bloods from the beef will contaminate the beautiful and clear broth (some people might like the gamy taste).
Btw, great and friendly service for a small business.
Vietnamese restaurant that hits the spot. Fairly priced and quite authentic. They have free hot tea! Pho was standard, crispy chicken was also not too bad. Nothing much to complain, very satisfactory for a viet craving .
The rice paper rolls are so fresh and we were even given our own dishes of dipping sauce! Friendly service and the bowls of bun are huge! These guys don’t skimp out on the meat or spring rolls. In true Vietnamese fashion, the table also overflows with condiments. They only accept cash but you can get cash out at IGA just two stores up
Had lunch with work mates here. The chicken curry tastes just like my mom used to make (I’m Viet). So much nostalgia in one bowl.
Portion is very big. Taste is authentic homemade Vietnamese. Very satisfied and highly recommended.
