Review Nick's Seafood Restaurant - Sydney

Lined with plenty of restaurants with great views over Darling Harbour and the wharf with docked boats, this is a great place to stop to grab a bite and enjoy the view. If you want to take a cruise, there's private charters available for hire for functions and parties, as well as general cruises which also include ones where you can enjoy a meal or high tea.

Beautiful promenade on Darling Harbour with a fantastic view of the National Maritime Museum. Lots of amazing food and bar options along the stretch. Good place to go for a run as well ! You also get a view of the CBD buildings from this end. Lots of places to just sit and relax and watch the cruises and boats go by. Many cruise ships start and terminate their journeys here. There are many paid parking lots slide by but pretty expensive. You can also reach the Sydney Aquarium as you walk along the stretch. Good way to spend couple of hours on a lazy weekend !

Great restaurants along the wharf precinct. A beautiful easily accessible place to walk alongside the gorgeous Darling Harbour. The walk takes you from Darling Harbour right around to Barangaroo and eventually back to the Harbour Bridge via Walsh Bay.

Arrive here by ferry and you'll see all these luxury an Cruise boats lined up on the wharf. There are bars and restaurants on the other side, generally fancy and more pricey fare. It's nice to sit here but really don't expect too much from the views, the opposite shore is a stone throw away. You can see the naval museum.

Great friendly buisy place on the weekends, full with diverse public heading out for local eateries and clubs as well as various harbour cruise businesses arround. Great views all arround and a nice celebration atmosphere. Highly recommended on the weekends.

An excellent location with many bars, restaurants and entertainment

“Yeah Buoy Jungle Boat Party” If the pun in the title of the 4 hour saga you are about to embark on is not enough to give you a bad Oman, remember this: I would bet $50 on half of the patrons not actually knowing what the “buoy” is in nautical terms. Therefore, equipped with this knowledge, you know your experience could be amazing or a test of pure will which the memories will be cookies, to keep in your Goggins cookie jar for a later occasion. Did I have fun, yes and no. I at least had a purpose there. I was there for my friend’s 30th, which just like him, did not make much complete rhyme or reason why it should be on a boat full of British back packers with their faces and implants melting in the heat while the sickly sweet vaped nicotine swirls lucidly around their sticky, painstakingly customized bangs. Could I have had more fun, by simply not being sick and not filling myself up with a very unwise cocktail of substances, yes. While on a boat cruise where English is spoken by all, but no one seems to understand a word another patron mentions, I indulged in a silly contingency prize. I knew that I was down, so trying to put my face by the door on and mask my fatigue and course of penicillin side effects, I drank moderately, consumed cannabis and mixed that with a singular magiv mushroom. It was so toxic and horrible to be in this vacuous headspace surrounded by vacuous dementor people that I recommend this experience to all. It will humble your supposedly fortified mind like drowning in your underpants in navy seal training. My friends were cool and the only thing grounding me. The others felt like s lopsided hurricane and mish mashed the boulevard walkers of Miami, Majorca and Cairns into an awkard gay time on a mardi gras cruise. The boys who have necks like vultures from years of abused posture awkwardly leer like literal vultures at the lass’s who indignantly ask the fridge of man mauri at the downstairs toilet “So I can’t even go and have a wee!” vapes, phones and drinks cluttering around their bejewelled fingers. They drop them down the stairs, almost purposely, coupled with a cheeky pommy grin as the mauri concedes early and understands they are just following their physical totems of addiction down the stairs to then plead closer to the rotten bathroom door.

Nicks Bar and Grill is a restaurant located along Wharf 6 of King Street Wharf. The precinct has many restaurants and eateries serving locals and tourists, as they soak up the beautiful views of Darling Harbour and the neighbouring suburb of Pyrmont.
The RnB Diary
With six waterfront restaurants spread across Sydney’s iconic Darling Harbour, Nick’s Restaurant and Bar Group has been serving both locals and visitors for over 20 years. Having dined in a couple of them with family and work colleagues, we looked forward to a lazy Sunday long lunch at Nick’s Bar & Grill located in King Street Wharf.

Great range of menu items and all killer dishes. Portions are huge and even the salads are super tasty. Staff are also really accomodating and plated up my friend's birthday cake nicely.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

Nick's Bar and Grill is located on King St Wharf, beside a beautiful King St Wharf waterview. Water always calms me down and makes be feel relaxed so it makes for a perfect venue for a Sunday lunch. While it's outdoor seating at Nick's Bar and Grill, they have a number of outdoor heaters for when it gets too cool. As I decide to order a cheeky glass of wine - the Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Semillon from Margaret River in WA ($12, glass) while Matt orders a Lord Nelson Beer ($9.50).

Came for the lunch time specials and they weren’t bad. The tortellini was nice but portion size was a little small and my missus fish and chips she liked it but said there was a strange taste to it which she couldn’t figure out. Not a off taste just something else. The food did take a while to come out

This was an evening of mixed experiences with the highlight being the shared trio chocolate dessert at the end. We sat outside and Hubby ordered steak which was nicely presented and cooked as ordered (medium/rare), but noted to be "not the best" and the accompanying sauce (mushroom) not worth the additional $4. I ordered the grilled snapper with mash which for $38 was very disappointing. The fish lacked any seasoning and was served with a wedge of lemon on a white plate, the mash was in a white bowl on the main plate and hubby commented that it looked like hospital food being so bland. I did find 3 green beans under the fish which would have added a little colour had they been placed on top. At 9.30 the restaurant was closing, whilst I appreciate that staff want to get home and start clearing un-used tables, they were actually removing chairs and tables around us - I would suggest perhaps doing this in sections of the restaurant that did not have patrons still eating - not a subtle message to get people to hurry up and move on.

I had the "The all time favourite I’m Angus Rump steak" from the TASTEFUL BITES menu and it was cooked to perfection and it just melted in the mouth.

I think the mushroom sauce should have been thickened up a bit and it should of had a bit more mushroom in it. apart from saying that I really enjoyed my meal

We went to Nicks Bar & Grill to use a Red Baloon voucher given to me by my daughter. It was a very ordinary meal with very few choices from the menu. We had Barramundi which we eat al lot of & it was quite tastless & certainly did not seem fresh. What a shame.

NOT ribs place! ... I order half rack pork ribs, they came covered in a lot of BBQ sauce and I believe it was to cover the taste ... I don’t think ribs were made fresh; I believe it’s a day old and they just warm it and add overdose sauce... I told the waitress and she was nice to absorb the situation... however! I paid for this disappointing food!

Price: Worth the value
Place: Very good location and restaurant set-up
Food: Big servings with great taste
Service: Waiting time is just enough and the staff are approachable and friendly

Took family from the UK & Perth for dinner 8 Feb 18.
The food was ok - over priced but lots of it
The service was abysmal 8 in our party and we waited 15mins after being seated before a waitress took a drink order abd that was only cause my 78yr old step dad called the waitress over, she apologiesed and said staff had call in sick, sorry young lady thats the roll of the manager to explain when i complained - poor all round- but wait theres more, on advice from a friend of Nicks , we went again with my suster from Vic, party of 5, waited 25 mins to be served for drinks on a 38deg day, again understaffed on a sat nite at 7pm- never again !

Delightful. Sea food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was casual and inviting. The cocktails were excellent. A great place to have lunch on the weekend when walking around the harbor. Recommend.

Massive portion, reasonable price, tasty; however a couple of things stopped me from enjoying my experience.

Firstly a $20 surcharge on a long weekend, not clearly mentioned on the menus. Mention of public holiday surcharge is listed however a regular Saturday after Australia Day? That’s rediculous.

Bathrooms- make and female are on opposite sides of the venue and there are no signs, I had to find the right one by trial and error.

Bill splitting- seems to be an issue across only two cards, felt like we were an exception being allowed to do so.

Bar- a very social venue , however drinks cannot be ordered at the bar, only through the table. The bill splitting problem may ruin the experience for say a group of friends (being with family it was not an issue).

Food- the ribs are great value and fill you up however the sauce is a bit too sweet. My partner ordered the schnitzel special , we were too late for the special, however we were informed it be impossible to order outside the time for a normal price. She settled for a medium rare rump, which came out rare- the cook misread the order. They were hasty in replacing it with a correctly cooked one however.

Being in a perfect location and reasonable food, I believe this place has potential to be a lot more with some minor adjustments.

Upon arriving we were seated immediately, followed by friendly table service which saw the serving of table water and additional drinks to begin with. For starters, we had ordered half of a dozen fresh oysters to share. To be quite honest, the oysters were probably the best part of our food experience here and looking back we should've ordered the full dozen! However, for the main course I had ordered 'Nick's Seafood Basket', which turned out to be a little disappointing but satisfactory nevertheless. Conversely, the scenery is quite nice whilst also providing a spacious dining environment.

Very busy restaurant in the King Street Wharf precinct. Good grill options , we tried the Kangaroo Fillet, The Rump Steak “surf n turf” with sides of seasonal vegetables . Good food and a good location.

Came on a Saturday night with friends...Worst ribs in my life, what are they think serving rubber ribs and cold chips.... embarrassing!! Staff were not even accomodating. Please taste the food before it comes out.
Sal Eats Sydney
Average at best. We ordered off a set menu with pretty limited choices.

Good came out pretty quick which was great, considering there was about 10 of us altogether. Flavours were tasty and food was cooked well but the wow factor was definitely missing.

Dishes were no different to what you could order at your local pub imo. Staff were friendly and efficient. Prices were standard for The Promenade.

Overall not bad, but not amazing either. Unsure if we'll return, as there are a lot of other options available.

Awesome place at Darling Harbour, Sydeny! Till today I remember their fresh steamed and grilled vegetables! They make amazing garlic bread and fries. And i loved their mocktails too. I highly recommend this place if you really crave for tasty food there at Darling Harbour in Sydney, Australia.
Andrewschlosser3
Less staff - steak came lukewarm and instead of medium it was English - this after waiting for over 40 min - at least after the initial complain it was rectified ! But I Guess not a place for a Sunday evening dinner
Orange_tree
Came here for a team lunch. Food was average at best but the lunch specials were reasonably priced. My grilled calamari salad came with a decent amount of protein and a mix of leaves, bean sprouts and some mint. Flavour-wise, the calamari was quite bland. At least it wasn't rubbery and the honey mustard dressing was nice. Others had the salt and pepper calamari ("my pub makes a better version") and the rump steak ("nice piece of meat") and the mussels. The restaurant was very large with lots of tables, but nearly empty at lunchtime. Very good service though, our table was looked after well.

I had been to Nick's several times over the years. Being at a touristy location, I always thought the food was good but not great but the views and atmosphere is what made the restaurant. However, my recent experience changed my view of Nick's. On a beautiful, balmy summer's night, Nick's was a wonderful place for dinner. The place was heaving with activity - with locals and tourists a like. The staff were relaxed and friendly and instead of ordering individual entrees and mains, the decision was on the Seafood Platter for 2. I am so glad this dish was ordered. It was a generous platter of fresh and cooked seafood including quite a large lobster mornay which was rich, sweet, cheesy and delicious! All the seafood were fresh and of good quality. It was not what I had expected and I was so happily surprised. It is great value especially if you love seafood like me. There is also a reasonable wine list at various price ranges to accomodate any budget. A satisfying & happy meal.
Will Eat Yum
Located along king st wharf, Nick's used to have cheap lunch time specials however now the specials are min $17. For the steak sauce is extra. Food took a while to come and my steak came out medium (I ordered medium rare).

Would have given a 4.0 but the hostess seemed like a racist. The waiter was very friendly. The food was kinda okay. It was nothing special. It was like every other place on the harbour. NEEDS innovation in their dishes.
FoodLuva
Really great Melbourne Cup event here. Considering the crowd and high expectations, the service was really quite good. And the food was much better.
The entree of pork belly and scallops was great, and my barramundi main was cooked to perfection. The chocolate, custard tart capped of this meal just right. A delicious bottle of McGuigan Red whilst watching the passers by and harbour views... happy days!

We just ordered a plan of Nik's signature sea food. It was too much for 2 people. The crayfish tasted a little bit sweet. The fish fried as good as it should be. But the oysters were just not reached level. Anyway, above all it's a good restaurant deserve to be recommended.
Daisybear00
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! food was crap, average service, not good value for money at all! Although it is for tourists location. Would not recommend to anyone at all!

Before I even could step foot and try the restaurant I had to wait 10mins before being greeted by a server. In hopes to get to sit down and eat, I then got told that one half of the restaurant is closed due to no servers, yet there was 2 large tables being used with paying customers. And finally to my dismay, I got told there was a 30min waiting time.
Now the reasoning for this rating is purely due to the lack of customer service.
Mr Manj
Personally menu is too big and I couldn't choose ha-ha. So I went with the surf n turf the steak was nice and prawns were OK the sauce that came with it was very bland but besides that I was satisfied with the meal service was good not the greatest as waitress spoke broken English.....

We had a lovely dining experience at Nick's. The service was great - we did dine outside of the normal hours but we were seated quickly, had our orders taken straight away and received our food in no time at all, plus we weren't made to feel rushed. Food was good too!
Robbie_The ELK
A well-presented restaurant with nice views of the harbor, nested in a top location. Unfortunately, the 'Nick's Seafood Platter for Two' (for $160.00) hasn't changed since I had the same platter over 8 years ago there. It's generally a good idea to refresh an otherwise dated platter selection. Anyhow, we still went with the platter and my first point was that I wasn't a big fan of unknown battered fish fillets. Either have the waiter/waitress disclose this at the time of order, or jot it down in the menu. Moving on, the lobster meat was fresh and succulent, likewise for the sweet (ans sea-salty) white crab meat. The chips however were the same old soggy pieces that no one touched at the bottom of the platter. I don't know about the 'Avocado and Potato Salad' but all we got was half an Avocado stuffed with some diced potato, I wouldn't necessarily call that a salad, more of a condiment. Overall, a decent dining experience otherwise marred by a unexciting platter selection. Please, have a go at substituting the boring tomato-salsa mussels with; scampi, moreton bay bugs, or large seared scallops.

Garlic bread delivered after 20 minutes - cold. Temperature which set the tone for the rest of the meal. Ordered steak with pepper sauce. Steak lukewarm and tasteless, chips cold and pepper sauce a gravy with some peppercorns (I think) and inedible. Waitress who was nice originally, did not enquire what was wrong with meal upon retrieval - the plate was as full as when I received it (less two bites of steak and 3 chips). Certainly not worth the price. Only positive was the location.

Food was decent but pricey....as the Italians say "Bon ma poco!". The only thing bad was the horrible service. Shame....hiring pretty but useless backpackers doesn't work. The service turned us off so will not return or recommend this restaurant. Seeing this is one of many similar chain restaurants.... will not go to any of the other ones either.

One of the worst host ever the lady on ( 1/2/16 @ 6:30pm) You guys have got. Came with dad and mom just to have beers and starters. She said have to sit in the sun was fine as thought of enjoy the jetty .

The she said if we are sitting longer i have to move the tables ...

Will never ever suggest your restaurant to anyone

I got a horrible Friday night at Nick's Bar & Grill. Can you believe that you have to wait for one and a half hour for the food to come up. The waiters and waitresses were just fly by your side with no one to help you. Kids were starving and those who came late already finished their dishes and ours still in the air. When the food come up it almost near our kids sleeping time, how can they have the appetite to enjoy the food? And what a frustrate parent we were and we got friends from overseas. Oh my god, what a bad image of Aussie restaurants for oversea travelers. What an experiences and I bet my kids will strong object to come back to Nick's Bar and Grill.

Nicks bar and grill is a well presented restaurant in Darling Harbour. The food was great especially the desserts they have! Service was a 10 out of 10. I will be back soon. And the steaks are a must try!!

Nice restaurant in a good location. Food is a bit pricey for what you get, but in saying that it does taste really good. Really nice cocktails as well, had the Raspberry Mojito and would definitely recommend it! Waiters were very friendly and helpful as well. Overall a nice place for drinks and food.
Tiffyrox90
Looonngg wait. Where do I start? This is probably one of the worst restaurants I have been to in Sydney.

For starters, the food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Granted, it was a busy night. But 2 hours?! Really?!

The staff weren't particularly helpful either. Our waitress mixed up our orders and appeared "lost" and "confused".

I've never left a review on urbanspoon before but felt compelled to do it today. Just take my advice and stay away
Ilovepancakes
Yeah! Decent food but not worth the amount you pay. Ordered the seafood platter for two. Our platter had lobster in it.... However had to pay an extra $10 just to have it mornay. I'm not crazy about this place but I wouldn't kick and scream if I had to come back. I'll avoid this place next time and go to the fish markets instead.

Nicks Seafood king st wharf. Great night out with the girls, thanks chefs, especially to the handsome blonde chef who cooked my salmon, delicious.

Located close to Sydney Aquarium, Nicks Bar and Grill is a red and white themed modern yet simple place for some cheap fine dining. After calling and booking a table for 9 (bookings must be made in advance for 10 people or less to redeem the $13 deal), we were seated at a table with the essentials. Thankfully they gave us water and the waiters were excellent. We added a bit of humour with my French mum’s extreme friendliness. ‘Bonjour Monsieur!’ ‘Comment ca va.’ ‘Merci beaucoup et au revoir!’ Almost half of us order

Although a tad pricey we love the fresh seafood at Nick's and would keep coming back for the seafood platter. The desserts were also pretty satisfying and are quite resonably priced. In total the bill came to $212 however we took advantage of the vouchers available at Costco which lets you purchase a $100 gift card for $80.
I'm Still Hungry
I’m wary of the harbourside restaurants in Sydney. Apart from two or three exceptions, my experiences have usually been rather tepid – either average food at high pay-for-the-view prices or just downright subpar, though thankfully the latter is rare. Usually, I end up thinking to myself “I could do better for less of an impact on my wallet”. You really are just paying for the view, nobody’s trying to kid anybody here.
Excuse Me Waiter
The seafood chowder was a hearty affair with the potatoes and flaky bits of fish thickening the soup nicely. A dash of olive oil on it was enough to complement the rich flavour. The Sydney rock oysters were fresh and this classic dish did not disappoint with plenty of pieces of bacon covering the creamy oysters. However I was a little hesitant on the amounts of worcestershire sauce which made it a little saltier than I would have liked.
Craig Hind
The fish were both very good and succulent. This, I think, is the first time we’ve had Snapper and found it excellent, and I’ll certainly have that again in the future. The mash was lovely and creamy, and the chips were crisp and nice and fluffy inside.
Up For A Feed
It has a very nice water outlook and you can see all the boats coming in and out of darling harbour. The dining space is huge seating 500. While Nicks at Cockle bay specialises more on seafood, Nicks Bar & Grill has a mixed menu serving seafood, grilled meats and pasta.
Perth Munchkin
More eggs and bacon seemed like the way to go and when my ‘Big Breakfast” arrived I was so much happier than the day before! Nicely cooked poached eggs, not a crazy amount of bacon, tasty mushrooms – it all worked.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
“That’s the damnedest thing I ever saw… it seemed to swoop down at you deliberately.” If I hadn’t seen Hitchcock’s 1963 movie The Birds , I’d swear seagulls were getting smarter. Yes, I’m starting a review with birdlife again, but their ingenuity stood out at this popular 550-seater. Like the gulls, Nick’s Restaurant Group owns most of the prime waterfront real estate in the Darling Harbour basin. This one combines the seafood elements from Nick’s Seafood Restaurant ; with the steaks from I’m Angus - sometimes even on the same plate as per Australia’s perennial favourite: surf and turf. Fillet Steak and Prawns ($45) offers a juicy steak, a pair of king prawns, chips, asparagus spears and a side of hollandaise that... ...probably goes better with my Grilled John Dory Fillets ($42) . Most families, unless they’re keen on a birthday picture with a seafood platter, start their meal with Oysters ($24/6) . They’re accompanied by bread and butter, the usual vinaigrette, and - in w

We went to lunch today at Nick’s along King Street Wharf. They don’t have a lunch menu, but serve their dinner menu along four lunch specials. The dinner mains start at $27 and go to about $95 for the lobster, while the lunch specials were each $22-$25. W

Waited a good 7 minutes face to face with the waitress in front of the register (no table service) without being acknowledged while she was chatting/flirting with an other waiter (!!!!!!)
Food was good but mid lunch a waitress came without talking to us and took the salt, paper, bird repellent without asking or saying sorry.
Service is absolutely horrible you need to sort your staff out.
Ps: table service is a normal thing in the cafes around yours, don't be lazy!
Serena.prasad
Disappointing service. Went for Sunday lunch. Not very busy but yet staff too busy chatting to take a drinks order. Sat waving for ages trying to catch their attention. Disappointing
Rebecca
Terrible service. Food came out 10 minutes apart despite me and my friend ordering the exact same thing. Chicken wrap is full of lettuce. Would not recommend here plenty more options in darling harbour
Jennifer Seah
Good location, sub par food. One of the more obvious reasons for coming here would be the ideal location situated on the wharf. Its a large place to which is great for larger groups, however although the food wasn't terrible, it was average to say the least, some fared better than others though. My seafood linguine at $34 had pieces of seafood that didn't seem overly fresh, the pasta wine sauce tasted more of cream than anything else and was under seasoned. The steak was well cooked, to the requested medium rare, i enjoyed the oysters. Again the vegetarian linguine seemed one dimensional, and the mussels were just okay. Fries were really crispy, and were pretty good. Service was great too. Such a great location, i just wished the food matched the views.

Do not go. Went there for My Mom and Dad's Wedding Anniversary. Food was fair to poor. My oysters Kilpatrick were tasteless, my steak tough as old boots and the Diane sauce I ordered was sweeter than the cakes I bought with me. My brother and I had to send our steaks back as they were atrocious and the food was cold. Never again! And it was expensive with no ambience whatsoever. You have been warned!
Kristy.anne
Pretty poor experience. I had my first experience at any of the restaurants in this chain today at lunch and I was discussed and appalled by the older man behind the counter. He was rude, belligerent and aggressive and after he had finished yelling at me he proceeded to scream at a waitress for a small mistake in front of our table. It's a wonder that a chain like this can have someone in a management position with no customer service or management skills. This along with the average food made this a pretty poor experience all round and defiantly not one worth repeating.
Tornado1880
Very poor service and average food. We dined here with my parents and my wife on a Saturday night. It was busy as expected and upon arrival we were told it was fully booked. To their credit, a manager walked by and informed us that there was a table and we got great seats to view the fireworks. That was fantastic.

As for the food, it was very average, overcooked Kangaroo steak, fishermans basket was tasty, the dips were very tasty, and the pasta was average.

As for service, it's was disorganized to say the least. It took over 45 min for 1 beer and 30min for bread. They forgot about us for a while and we had two waiters who both took our orders yet delivered nothing.

For a $290 bill, once again with only a few beers it was fairly average. Won't be going back there anytime soon.
Marangonii
Very bad service and nothing special about the food ( my kid's comment was TGI Friday is better than this). Went this one by the recommendation of the hotel staff. We waited for more than 30min before the food showed up and it was 10pm at night(not very busy). The starter and main meal showed up the same time- we asked why, the waiter said we told him so, which was absolutely not the case. During the waiting, when I asked how long we may have to wait for the food, the answer from the waiter was " I am not the chef".

They have the worse customer services I have ever experienced. They treated their customers as they can't afford to eat there. I would never want to go back again and I won't recommend anyone to go.

There is a manager working in this restaurant who should be sacked immediately.
On Tuesday 24th September I went to
Nicks Bar & Grille on Kings Street Wharf with my daughter and 2 grand children to have lunch.
On arrival we received a friendly greeting and were shown to a table.
We then waited and waited but none of the staff made eye contact or in any way acknowledged our existence. The restaurant was less than a quarter full but no one came to ask for our order. Finally, feeling a little embarrassed by the lack of attention, I suggested to my daughter that the staff must think our order had already been taken so as I could see a man who appeared to be a manager talking to staff at a work station, I went over to them to let them know we had been overlooked.
When I reached them, they continued talking and gave no indication they were aware of my presence so finally I interrupted and simply said excuse me, we appear to have been overlooked and although we've been here for close to 20 minutes our lunch order has not been taken.
The manager turned and abruptly said "we are very busy".
I looked around at the almost empty restaurant and asked him what he suggested we should do ? Should we continue waiting or would we just leave as you appear not to want our business ? His reply was YES LEAVE!!!
I was absolutely astonished and told him so. I also suggested he might like to take a lesson in customer service from Mc Donald's and returned to our table. My daughter and I decided to leave and as we walked out with the children he approached us and for a moment I thought he may be wanting to apologise, but no, he gestured angrily and said there is a Mc Donald's up there, and pointed toward the far end of Darling Harbour.

I couldn't get out of there fast enough and in my rush , the pram I was pushing caught on the leg of a small table near the entrance, causing it to tip over ... I made no attempt to pick it up and only felt sorry that the young woman who had greeted us so well on our arrival was the one who came to do the tidying up ... not the poor excuse for a manager who was really responsible. I hope to receive a direct response from the owners of this business. Urbanspoon have my email address.

Food was cold and wait staff inattentive

Not service. I agree below, service is bit slow..
Food was nice though.

Food is ok and lunch special is good value but service is a bit slow

Terrible customer service. After ten minutes had to hail an attendant like i was drowning and needed a lifesaver. Then ordered two identical meals, two identical drinks, two identical waters. Received the drinks but nothing else. Waiter forgot. No apologies & no compensation.

Disappointing.. Ordered smoked salmon on panini. Looks like someone hasn't taught their staff the difference between panini and cheap burger bun, v. disappointing.

Service was excellent. Very friendly and quick. Mash is orgasmic!! Wish I had some right now. P.S the mains were great aswell. :p

Disappointed. We decided on Nick's Bar & Grill for our Saturday night out and should have realised that we weren't in for a good experience when it took 5 minutes to be acknowledged at the entrance. In fairness my Steak and Prawns meal was excellent, however my wifes Seafood Linguini was not good and overpowered by a lemon flavour. We have eaten at Casa Di Nico and been delighted but felt the food and service at Nick's Bar & Grill were disappointing.

Happy Father's day. Glad to report perfect Father's Day lunch on a perfect Sydney day. Nick"s Bar & Grill proved to be the perfect venue.
Our designated wait staff operative (Not the done thing to say "waitress") was attentive and friendly. The two fathers in the party had the Fish pie and the John Dory and were more than happy. The John was cooked to the ideal fork separable standard with a delightful sauce . The pie wastasty, hearty and impressive according to the other father.
Complimentary little bottle of wine was a nice touch and the online booking enquiry worked well.
Four "thumbs-up"
