Visited while staying in Hobart after researching where to find a good burger and I was not disappointed. Seriously I think this was possibly the best burger I've ever had.
Bun was nice and soft, and the patty was cooked perfectly and with the melted cheese.. YUM! Not to mention the fries, I don't know how they do it but everything was excellent!
Dining space is pretty cool, with a main dining room on the first floor, and a balcony on the top floor.

This is the best burger joint in the country, discovered it years ago when my ship pulled into Hobart and it was just a hole in the wall down an alleyway. Now it's a multi-level store with excellent decor. I flew from Canberra with my wife just to prove to her how good it was and we ate there everyday of our holiday. 5 stars isn't enough and I wish there was a shop in Canberra.

My partner came here twice during our stay in Hobart after reading great reviews. The first time we came was during the week where they were doing takeaways only, which wasn't what we planned on doing originally, but they were delicious anyway! The burgers were tasty and the the chips were amazing! We then went back on a Saturday night when they were doing dine-in, and the burgers were amazing yet again, and service was great. The place has a really cool atmosphere too. If you like burgers then you'll love this place!

Fantastic burgers and fries, gave a great feeling of the Sydney/Melbourne burger craze without too many compromises.
Was really good to go to a bit tipsy and get around a large burg. Yum yum.

Have been previously and it was okay, not rave worthy.
This time, order was messed up, we were the only ones in the place. Son refused to eat his burger after 2 bites, said it tasted strange.
I tried it and found it bland and the taste was just the overpowering burnt bun.
My burger was like it was cooked in Heinz yellow mustard. The onions were the only other flavour, that patty was impossibly thin.
The wife's grilled chicken burger was the worst of the lot. Inedible.
And you pay top dollar for this. It's not worth the money at all.

Best burgers in Hobart. Period. My favorite is the Los Pollos Hermanos (and I don't really like chicken at the best of times so for my favorite menu item to be a chicken burger it means it's pretty f*cking excellent) service is always friendly too :)

First time I visited I was impressed by my burger, and managed to overlook the fries that were packed into a sealed container, soggy and sweating all over themselves by the time they got to me.
Second time was last night. The bottom of my burger was cold to the touch and wet. Not moist, but wet. To be honest I don't know how it could be that cold and wet without slipping over in the snow. The chips were undercooked, and the chilli on the fries was average at best.
It's a shame because I want to like this place. I'm sorry for the bad review, I shouldve returned my food last night but I was really hungry and wanted to eat, not tell you how to do your job. I won't be back.

The food amazing, but the wait for is so disappointing. 40 minute wait for pulled pork fries... thats it, no burgers or anything. Lucky i wasnt on my lunch break!! That’s ridiculous �

I was warned by colleagues that the standards at "the standard" had dropped but i didnt want to believe them.
So tonight I tried for myself and found the burger to be greasy, overpriced and a waste of money. I work nearby and used to get a burger from the standard as an occasional weekend treat but i wont go back again, so dissapointing. Chips had to be paid for separately and were cold and soggy.

I loved it chicken was great nice and juicy and not oily. The only thing i didnt go much on was the shoestring fries, they were nice enough im just personally not a huge fan of shoestring fries.

30 minutes 4 a burger when there are about 8 people there. They gave us our money back which was great but more helpful would be to make people aware of long waits at the time of ordering.
