I asked for Chicken chowmein with no cabbage and mild in spicy. I got exactly the way I ordered, the food was mild and with no cabbage. I was glad to see the instructions was followed seriously. The customer service was great. The price is pretty decent not expensive. I would recommend this place

It's a small restaurant in prime location in city. Very friendly staff, for all the dishes they do offer three different level of spicy: Mild, medium and spice (never order spicy unless you love green chillies :P) 1. Malai Kofta: HIGHLY RECCOMEND - Potato and cottage cheese fried fitters in the creamiest tomato sauce are one of most popular dishes. 2. Momo Platter: RECOMMEND – if you intent to try all variety of momo’s they serve go for this item. It contains Steam Momo, fried, pan-fried and c-Momo. C-Momo’s are fried momo’s in spicy sauce with capsicum and onions. My personal favorite is Steam momo. (They also serve half and half plate of momo i.e., half veg and half non-veg) 3. Veg Chowmein: RECOMMEDED – Spicy noodles with adequate amount of vegetable in it. It’s a good replica of the chowmein serve by hawkers in India. however, the noodles used are a bit different and not that soft and chewy. The quantity is pretty good for the price. 4. Cheese garlic naan: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- it’s so cheese and the perfect amount of garlic that you don’t need any curry with it. 5. Rasmalai: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- They serve the best rasmalai in town. It’s a sweet of cottage cheese balls soaked in thickened, sweetened milk with cardamom and saffron.

We came here after smelling the sweet curry aromas from across the road. The restaurant is provided quick service. Food was very reasonably price.

This place used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Hobart. I've spent a lot of money in their restaurant and through Uber Eats too and I've also taken my friends along for meals at times. However, today's incident has just made me dislike this place for the lack of customer service. I'll start by saying, I've never ever ordered chicken biryani from any restaurant and had to order more chicken ever. Their chicken biryani came with 2 really small pieces of chicken. I thought I'd have lunch here as I was shopping in the city. I asked both the restaurant staff if this was normal practice and they said yes. As you can see in the pic, I've got all that rice left to eat and no chicken. 20 bucks for a bowl full of coloured rice and 2 bits of chicken is a bit ridiculous. The staff didn't even have the courtesy to address my issue. Instead I paid more money, another $18 and ordered another chicken dish. The rice had gone cold by then, nobody offered to ask if I wanted it warmed up. Really poor customer experience. I will make sure I don't return to this restaurant if they don't know how to value their regular customers. Feels like a rip off! I'm a foodie and I love eating out. I go to places that sell good food and offer good service and value for money. Danphe is off my list for now.

The worse Momo I've had in not only Tasmania but the whole Australia. Momo packing wasn't great and the sauce taste was non existent. Huge disappointment to us Nepalese foodies.

Rich and spicy butter chicken. Loads of flavour but not overwhelming. Generous takeaway serving - with rice it could make two meals.

Great food, tried the chicken tikka masala with saffron rice and a plain naan. Everything tasted great, restaurant is well kept with friendly staff. Highly recommended, one of the tastiest in Hobart. Also, pricing is extremely reasonable, especially when weighed against the quality of the food!

I came away from Danphe Restaurant exclaiming that it was "insanely gorgeous!" Everything was wonderful - the attractive yet unpretentious decor; the smiling, courteous and helpful waitress; the absolutely amazing food, and the very reasonable prices. We ordered the momo platter, goat curry dahl baat, and naan bread. Everything was just delicious and perfectly cooked and served. Couldn't fault anything and will definitely return many times!

I came across raving reviews about this restaurant. So I was excited to give it a try. The service was good. However, the food was tasteless and not worth the price at all. There is no difference between dine-in and take away prices!! I ordered 2 c-momos, chowmein, daal, 2 aaloo ko achar, 2 rice . The aaloo ko achar was so bland. It didn’t do justice to my tastebuds and I m quite disappointed when I forked out $82 for something so tasteless. I am a chef/owner of a Nepalese restaurant in Adelaide. It was nowhere closer to Nepalese! Not recommended.

Loved the food, great service and advice on what to have ( never tried Nepalese food before). Loved all of the food and it was ready quickly. The spinach and paneer curry was excellent. Cafe style and unpretentious but great food and prices. Take away was available. Just opposite T2 in Hobart city.

Had a wonderful experience here on our trip to Tasmania. The resturant was located at the center of the city. We ordered jhol momo as a starter and a thali set as our main. I would highly recommend trying the Jhol momo. They also had variety of nepalese/Indian deserts which were very fresh and is a must try too!

After looking at the reviews we decided to try this place during my visit to Tassie.. in the cold weather we decided to try chicken vindaloo .. disappointed with the takeaway there is nothing vindaloo there its full of color .. And the bread 😲clearly the food was not cooked to order.. its a microwave stuff andnot a restaurant quality, first worst experience 😡in Tassie. Clearly all the reviews are made up ..😱
