Review Vanidol's Asian Cuisine - Hobart

A very popular Thai fission restaurant. The layout is modern and inviting. The staff are very friendly and happy to help with your meal selection. The Duck wrap is extraordinary delicious, the Satay is awsome and the Caramel Pork to die for. The meals are a generous size, guaranteed to leave full and content.

Just tried ordering a meal tonight around 8:30 pm through Uber and it got cancelled - right at closing and was still charged!! If you couldn’t fulfil the order why do you take 1/2 hour to cancel?? Tried calling the restaurant and no one was picking up, even when closing time states 9:30 pm. Rude and disrespectful. Now we have been charged and don’t have enough money to order elsewhere. Some courtesy towards your customers would be appreciated!

A medium space restaurant with a large selection of options. Offering curries, stir-fried, soups, and more with meat, seafood and vegetarian options. Wonderful staff and very fast service. Dishes were well presented, well portioned and full of flavour.

A refined Thai restaurant with familiar-sounding dishes, but each one is unusually delicious. Also offers really refreshing iced fruit drinks which were perfect in the warm weather.

Ordered takeaway. Uber delivered. Very small serving/ no more than a cupful of chicken n veg. Cost $22 Query answered by restaurant. Maybe problem lay with Uber!!

Delicious meals from a mix of Asian cuisines. All reasonably well priced with a range of vegetarian and gluten free options available. Wait staff were friendly and helpful and service was pretty quick. Some of the meals marked medium were actually quite spicy, which was not an issue for us but some may find challenging. Regardless, a great option in North Hobart.

Went for a quick bit to eat there, just after went to the Pictures. Tasty and good portion size, friendly service.

Slow service, my drink came out after my food and after I'd finished eating it. Took 45min to complete my order. Chairs are filthy, the front booth next to the counter is used for storing empty recycling bottles and the vacuum cleaner. No ambiance, there's candles for the tables but none were lit on a Friday night. No background music. The kitchen sounded like it was too busy having a social gathering amidst the chaos of a chef who couldn't handle two dockets. It was just myself and a guy getting takeaway. What happened? This place was heaving a few years ago...

Everything our family had was both tasty & authentic :) The Roti was to die for! Good sized portions. However we felt that rice should have been included with the Main dishes, especially for the price. Entree - Satay Chicken Wrap: Grilled chicken with soft roti bread, served with salad and peanut sauce $9 - Enjoyable, however a little cold by the time they got to us. They could have done with some complimentary satay sauce to accompany them on the side. Mains: Paneang Gai: Creamy chicken coconut curry $22. The Panang sauce flavour & consistency was outstanding! Only improvement in our opinion would have been the use of Chicken Breast, rather than thigh meat in the dish. Both my daughter & I felt some of the pieces of chicken had quite a distinct strong taste with darker coloured meat, that wasn't to our liking. Nasi Goreng Chicken: Indonesian fried rice with chicken and omelette $22. Was enjoyed & completely polished off by my other half :) The only slight criticism was that there was barely any chicken in it. Accompaniments: Roti Channai: Indonesian flatbread $2.50 per piece - OUTSTANDING! :) Coconut Rice $ 3 per serve - Tasty, but not hot by the time we got it

Brilliant service, great food and a great atmosphere outside sitting in the sun enjoying our byo wine. Best Thai in Hobart.

Yum yum the new dishes are amazing and amazing service as always well done.

Have thoroughly enjoyed Vanidol's twice now and must say kop kun ka to wonderful Khun Sumana for the warm welcome and beautiful food. Looking forward to the 3rd visit!.

Get a long new menu's great and the foods delicious.
