Annapurna is an average restaurant; the decor is outdated with dim lights. The staff is really nice and friendly, they are happy to chat with you. The vibe of the area is vibrant from Thursday -Saturday afternoon (that’s when you should go). The parking is available on road.
They offer papadum just after you are seated, menus are already placed on the table. We were also served complimentary rice ( not sure how often they do it)- I really appreciate the gesture.
1. Dal Makhani: NOT RECOMMENDED- It was a mixture of different dal (pulses), the proportion od yellow dal was more than any other which completely spoiled the taste.
2. Butter Panner Lababdar: RECOMMENDED- Though its not the original paneer lababdar with capsicum and good amount of onion, It tastes more like shahi paneer with big paneer pieces.
3. Paneer Tikka Masala: NOT RECOMMENDED- The paneer cubes are cut in square big pieces, nicely roasted, there were very few vegetable (found 2 pieces of onion and capsicum each) served with half a lemon. The mint chutney was really good. @management: this item can be popular if it can include more vegetables in it.
4. Chilli Cheese Naan: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- love this item, fully loaded with cheese and adequate amount of red chilli powder sprinkled over it. I was expecting it to a bit spice, but this one was perfect.
5. Garlic Naan: RECOMMENDED- The bread was nicely good with perfect amount of garlic and butter on it.

Tasty Indian in Hobart city, and the naan was very moist 👌🏼 The team also gave me plenty of packaging for my leftovers to take home!

Excellent service and good value, and always consistent in quality and taste. Best naan bread in Hobart, even compared to other Annapurna restaurants. 👌

I went on Saturday Night to get takeaway at Annapurna Indian Restaurant. I ordered Korma Chicken with Korma Veggies and Rice. The Chicken was tasteless. They didn't put salt. These big pieces of chicken with very little veggies and some of the rice was gluggy. It was the worse chicken I ever tasted. The meal was disgusting. This was the second time I had been. The first time was just as bad. Not going again. The first time I ordered Lamb Korma and the lamb was tough but the sauce was tastey. They got the rice right that time.

We ordered takeaway chicken biryani and cheese naan.
Apparently biryani had no taste specially for the price you pay. Very disappointed.

Had a couple of chefs specials because we weren’t sure what we wanted. The chana masala and prawns were amazing; rice fresh and each grain separate; service was friendly and prompt. Recommended.

I never leave bad reviews but this place was a joke.
Worst tasting food i have had. Went there on a Tuesday evening with my partner. We were very confused where we should eat cause there were few indian restaurant close to each other but chose annapurna. The food arrived, it looked good but tasted very bad especially the curries. They were soo salty and hard to eat plus the garlic naan was ment to have coriander on it but didn't and was burnt . Really disappointing and will never return.
