Fabulous experience.
Had mushroom hotpot for breakfast, tasted great. Also had really good coffee. The Mrs. had eggs, bacon, mushrooms & tomato - another terrific plate.
Great service and a real nice atmosphere.
Thoroughly recommend this place for an awesome breakfast experience.

Had breakfast last weekend. Ordered bacon and scramble eggs. Eggs were very good but bacon was burnt. Waitress asked if all was okay and I stated bacon was burnt could I get new bacon. She said yes but it took too long and I asked if I could just get the $4 off the bill and forget the bacon. Yes was the reply and I went to counter pay. Lady rang up bill and said $24 I asked was the $4 for bacon taken off and she no and said she would take it off. When I checked the receipt out side she had only taken $2 off.
Will never go there again.

I just walked in off the street after browsing the Salamanca Market.
I was immediately offered a seat and refreshment while I browsed the menu.
The coffee is hot and the food delicious. I can not fault the staff for their friendly manner, kindness and professionalism.
Well done. I wish you much success.

Came for brunch and had nice coffees, a big breakfast and a disappointing porridge.
The big breakfast had two perfectly poached eggs and a whole lot of meat. The sausages were very good and bacon decent. The 'ham steak' was a half-inch thick slice of ham that had been cooked on the grill. If you've ever been curious why a cured, salted piece of meat should not be cooked on the grill, tasting the ham steak will be quite illuminating.
The porridge was a giant serving of microwaved instant oats sprinkled with tooth-sized pieces of hard toffee. The toffee pieces made me fear for the well-being of my teeth and the porridge itself was not particularly tasty, the drizzle of bottled artificial syrup on top did not raise my excitement levels either. The only thing in the porridge that matched the expectation generated by the menu were the pieces of poached pear (skin on?).
Service was friendly, prices reasonable and the décor trendy and attractive.

This is one of the only restaurant reviews that doesn't ask about the food- maybe that is because they are already aware just how average and bland their product is? The ingredients were lovely and fresh and had so much potential, however they were cooked with no thought for taste and I was left with a breakfast that cost over $20, took incredibly long to arrive, and needed to be followed up almost immediately by "second breakfast" somewhere else because I hadn't managed to stomach much of the blandness on my plate at Zum. The service was terrible and I imagine the only reason they can survive is because of their location and a lack of any real competition in the food department anywhere else in Hobart.

Deliciously overpriced breakfast. Coffees came out cold after breakfast! Staff are unprofessional and need training in customer service. Multiple tables were nearly charged double for the price for the table. Use numbers on your table if you can't remember where customers are sitting!!

Not the start to our Sunday we wanted. Service was a "don't care" attitude, slabs of ham on the plate and rosti was so disappointing. Drinking out of paper cups was the last straw. You know a business has given up when they don't ask you how everything was, as they already know the answer. Used to be amazing, such a shame 😔
