Excellent customer service with nice and fresh food. They can modify your set menu and choose accordingly. The service was quick and not huge crowded place, you can definitely sit and relax to enjoy your food. Plenty of street parking available outside, but it might be busy if turn up during the lunch hour on business days. Overall I would recommend this place.

Tiny little spot with a beautiful menu. Okay food but did find a short black hair under my Ramen noodles, a cheap hair net could have prevented that but accidents happen. The Lotus Bao bun was nice but would have appreciated to know that the red strip is chilli, not capsicum before taking a bite 🥵.

They had really great tasting shrimp but with less value for money because of quantity

Nice little place to go if you're feeling like wanting some Japanese cuisine.
Had called ahead and booked in which was a straightforward enough process. Nicely decorated and colourful which added to the mood. I would recommend grabbing a window table as there is a good view to be had with the intersection near so you can watch all the hustle and bustle of people and traffic going by.
The staff were friendly and the service was very good. Food didn't take took long to get to me. Although very good I can't say it's the best I've had. But the very reasonable pricing made up for it.
I wouldn't hesitate going again and if I was to take family and friends out as my treat then at least I know it wouldn't break the bank.

Really good.
I’d skip the ramen and go straight for the spider roll. It’s off the charts!

It was better than we expected! Great portions, tasty cuisine and friendly staff:)
Affordable prices too. My partner and I were satisfied with price/portion/quality ratio so 5 stars here

Clean cafe, quick service. Extra stars for no plastic for takeaway, using paper bag instead. đź‘Ť
Hand rolls are huge and sushi was incredibly fresh!

With takeaway orders they don’t deliver chopsticks, soy sauce, wasabi!?
In over 15 years having sushi that never happened to me, not handy at all especially because we are tourists here in Hobart, my husband had to go out and buy everything after we received the delivery and of course in the meantime everything was getting cold.
We firstly called them and they weren’t helpful either. Not nice

We came here for dinner. The place is quite small.

The Tuna and salmon was nicely sliced but the Tuna was slight salted and the salmon was kinda chewy.

Corn butter ramen
A generous amount of ramen and the broth was quite light. clCorn pieces are quite plain but accompanied my bamboo shoots, raddish and spring onions.

The sushi roll was okay. The spicy mayo accompanied the crisp soft shell crab.

Crab croquettes are great. Soft with a crisp batter.

We had a lovely late lunch here, with great service and very tasty food! I loved the flavour of the eggplant so much!
Be aware though that the portions are on the medium-small side.
The decor is very cute

Came across Midori Japanese Kitchen while looking for lunch while working in North Hobart. Wonderful venue decorated with Japanese lanterns and artwork. Service was friendly and the food delightful. It was freshly cooked so my order took a little longer to get to me. But it was worth the wait. Well presented and flavoursome-tasty - just the way I like it! I highly recommend this place.

Stumble upon this Japanese restaurant while working now Elizabeth St in North Hobart. It's very cute and quaint inside with lovely little touches little flowers on each table and beautiful Japanese art work on the walls.

The food is light and delicious. We got:
* Vegetarian set: Bento set with rice, tofu, tempura vegetables, seaweed, lettuce and corn salad and two vegetable spring rolls. Very fresh
* Tonkotsu pork ramen: I only tasted the soup but it was tasty, not too salty and light

I was recommended Midori by a friend.
Walking in I was warmly greeted. Sitting down it almost felt like I was in someone's home the place has a homely feeling to it.
The food was neither here nor there. It was good but I wouldn't say it was great.
The sushi rolls are huge though and definitely fresh.
Considering the choices in the area it's hard to say if I'll come back. Maybe for the sushi rolls.
Love this place. Have been many times and never disappointed. Food is well priced and delicious. Service is with a smile. Definitely should be on your list to try.

Great place in the heart of North Hobart (Elizabeth St). It's very Japanese inside, and gives off a nice casual feel. Staff are brilliant - the lady offered out post-dessert tea's on the house due to the fact they didn't have one of the toppings for the Green Tea Ice Cream.

Chicken Teriyaki, Miso Soup and the Tempura Mix all come highly recommended, so too does that dessert - very authentic green tea flavouring and the wafer biscuit is a great addition.

Well priced bento sets and is enough for an average eater. The sashimi is fresh. Restaurant is nicely decorated. Friendly staff and good service. Worth going again.

Awesome sushi at a really good price! I had the California roll and a prawn roll and both were spot on! 6 really big, really fresh rolls for $25

Fantastic, well priced food. We've been heaps of times and they have never failed to be enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Disappointing service. Went to Midori with a friend last night with no booking at 7pm. When we were told there would be no table until 8pm we weren't surprised and left. We decided to go and have a drink elsewhere and go back later. I rang them to reserve a table and at first the man on the phone said I couldn't reserve a table, then changed his mind and made our booking for two people at 8:30pm. At 8:20pm we walked back in seeing two empty tables. We were again turned away saying the table was not ready yet. (The empty tables had not been wiped down and set). So then at 8:30pm we walked back in to the restaurant just after a group of four. The table of four had been seated at two tables pushed together with no 'reserved' sign on them. The waitress told us as I asked for our table, that there was no table for us, even though we had made a booking. Unorganised, rude and incompetent. We won't be back.

Split. . . But I like it.. I have had 2 different experiences here. First was for lunch, the waitress was rude. but the food was quick and really nice. The next was for dinner, there was a different waitress this time and she was very polite and welcoming. The food both times was really good.
Lovely
Poor customer service. Waitress was rude. Food was average. I will not come back

Loved it! Food was fresh and delicious! They don't serve alcohol so if you want a drink BYO. The waitress was lovely, food was quick and yum!
Fried rice, vege tempura and sushi were delicious.
Gyoza, edamame, agedashi tofu and miso were nice, sashimi was good but they had ran out of salmon which was a bit disappointing but the tuna was good!
Very impressed and would definitely go back again! Not too overpriced either which is always good
