Usually love coming here. But has gone down massively . Food taste disgusting . Chicken still tasted frozen when chewed into it . I miss the grilled chicken bacon and Brie cheese meal . Chips are stingey a little handful of chips on the plate wouldn’t even call them curly fries . And flies everywhere can’t eat without swatting a fly to stay away

Staff very helpful an polite. Ordered the pork out plate it was a short wait until it arrived, there was enough on the plate for two people. Staff checked on us through out the meal to make sure that we was happy with everything

Well, my daughter was so keen on this site. I've been here at times and the did had missed the mark so often. I just can't understand why you make sauces with tinned products. It's really lazy and it's a pure reflection on the care factor. The corn is the worst I've ever tasted and I noticed so much of it being returned. My order of meat came out blue, well raw....I like rare but this was ridiculous. Mushroom gravy was full of tinned mushrooms and was bland. The value in the size of the meal for 45 dollars is very poor.Upon return I was given a different cut... The burger ordered on our table was bland, dry and precooked frozen. My daughter ordered chips and nuggets, they were dry and shrinking they'd been that overcooked. This place isn't clean, smells like an old pub that hasn't been properly cleaned in years. Such a shame as it should be pumping great food options as I've experienced in other mainland locations over the years.

Fantastic customer service , came in late at 2:15 Hugo was more than happy to let us come in and sat us down by the wood fire and never felt in any rush even knowing they closed at 2:30 food was great but the customer service we received by Hugo boss 😀 was faultless if you have a bad it experience this gentleman's customer service makes it worth every penny!!!

It hurts to have to give Hogs 1 star, as this was where I'd normally come to for a good meal, but unfortunately Hogs has failed to live up to my usual standards as of late. The price has shot up very noticeably and unfortunately I can't help but feel the quality has dipped also. I feel I'd be much less critical if the quality remained consistent but I can't say it has, and when you combine that the 'lite' cut of steak (which is half of the mega cut) is now basically the price of what the mega cut was I can't say I'm too thrilled. Really sucks, I used to love this place but now I'm not sure I'll be back.

Heard friends talking about this place many times, and able to visit this place recently. Love the food (we ordered steak and ribs and some drinks) - the size was generous as well. Try to come nit during rush hour since the parking space is limited.

We only popped in for a quick bite but stayed for a Lovely cocktail 🍸 as well. Fair priced for a Saturday night, the deep fried mushrooms were Great and the drinks were lovely 😍 Service was quick and Friendly. Shall be back!

Hogs Breath used to be my favourite place for steaks in Melbourne. Unfortunately many have closed down so i was excited to eat at this Hogs Breath in Hobart. Service was great. Unfortunately steaks were really dry and did not have enough sauce. The fries tasted almost cold. For a $40 meal I'd expect better.

We went there for dinner on Friday night and overall it was extremely poor, both service and food. The entree failed to turn up....and re-ordered. The mains came out, incorrect main ....corrected after being told that the kitchen was a bit of a disaster because the apprentice was feuding with the head chef??....main fixed.....but lacking the extra topping ordered....the other main was a LUKE warm anaemic looking steak .....and still no sight of the long lost entree.....which they kindly offered to bring out at dessert time or we could cancel it with a refund! To wrap up the children waited for what seemed like an eternity for a scoop or two of ice cream....no doubt being served in between the feuding kitchen staff. It's a real shame that a place like this can charge top dollar for average food....but more importantly very average service. There won't be a next time.

Wow. Just wow. I know you don’t come here if you actually like food, but even for this shit hole, it’s a new low. Figured I’d take my brother and his kids here for lunch since they wanted to go, but shit, never again. After watching the staff who were off duty sit at the bar and dominate the time of most of the wait staff, waited over an hour for lunch. An hour. With 6 tables in the whole place. News flash, you can’t charge 30 bucks for a main in the middle of Hobart and make people wait over an hour for shitty food and think that’s ok. Never again.

VERY long wait times for just steak burgers and kids meal! With tables who ordered 20/30 minutes after us receiving their meals.. my poor son was starving! I think we were missed in the order queue! A very underwhelming pricy meal for the hype of the place.. Staff friendly enough but that’s about it! We will not visit again anytime soon..

Was very disappointed last night to come to the restaurant. We booked for 10 at 7pm to be told our table wouldn't be ready for few minutes which then led to half hour. We then were offers 2 tables separating our group. We were told by waitress 20 were booked in at 5:45 on the same table. So 1;45 minutes for 20 people to order and eat? We were offered free drinks which was ok but then the tables were so small we had no arm room to eat comfortably and first table got their meals and by the time the that table was almost finished the second lot arrived so it was like we were from 2 groups any way. I've not ever faulted the restaurant but I think 1:45 for 20 people to Order and eat is not acceptable then for the next group to be put on 2 different tables that were not big enough especially for the 3 that sat on one bench at each table . On top of that my daughter didn't eat her fish. It was gross she stated. And the meal servings have seemed to gotten smaller my son was asking everyone for more curly fries but everyone had diminished them, which has never occurred, so we left still hungry. Maybe your allocation times for people to eat comfortably needs reassessment, along with table settings as we are not huge people and no way did we have enough arm room. Very disappointed, I felt like walking out as my son kept knocking my elbow when eating �

We had dinner here tonight. We had great service. However the steak & rib combo was very disappointing. The steak was more like the size of steak for a burger as opposed for a meal and the ribs must have been from a piglet they were that small. Sign said kids eat free which is great but you should explain conditions. My oldest daughter and I are frequent diner members and we could not use our card for our meals even though we had 4 main meals ordered and only 2 kids meals. Great night just disappointed at the end. We also had to request the kids soft drink & ice cream

Really enjoyed the meal, steak was beautiful. Service not the best. Had to ask for our son's meal 15mins after we had received ours, forgot our drinks. Did discount 1 drinks off the bill but i think a bit more of a discount was warranted. Probably just a bad moment, i would go back as the food was yummy. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Ever since they changed their menu and possibly staff they have become shocking. To wait over an hour for a main when not busy then didn't get drink until after main was wrong. Thought we would give another go but was just as bad... instead of curly fries got a pile of crumbs. Over cooked chicken tenderloins that couldn't even been eaten and more. Not even going to bother anymore

The worst coldest meal we have ever eaten, 3 couples out at same time disgusted, crook in the stomach all afternoon, never again

Not only did it take 2 hours for my food to arrive, they didn’t have the steak I ordered and Didn’t let me know until I went to pay and was charged $7 more than I had planned to pay. Three of the steaks in our party were cooked well done when ordered medium rare, EVERYONES food was cold, especially the chips and fish. When the finger food towers were bought out the server was seen putting his hands all over the food to re arrange it!! The tables weren’t cleaned even when our desserts were bought out.. which was cold desserts served on a heated plate, AND they didn’t give us enough cutlery either.. HOW DO YOU EAT ICE CREAM WITHOUT A SPOON? AND THEN, ran out of change in the till and told our whole table to pay by card instead, which was a hassle to some as we specifically got cash out beforehand.

The service was extremely slow. It took an hour to get our meal from the time we ordered. Which was about 20 minutes after we arrived. The salad (if you can call it that) with my meal was wilted and I would not have served it. It has so far taken 15 minutes to get a small ice cream for my daughter. I am very disappointed with today's experience. And won't be coming back in a hurry.

So bad. The staff are friendly but management needs an overhaul. The food (and even the drinks) took forever, and then it was lukewarm when it finally arrived (go figure).
