Review Har Wee Yee Restaurant - Hobart

Loved the food, ordered 3 different entrees and everyone enjoyed them, service was great and the prices were reasonable, if your looking for a good chinese meal i would recommend A+

We got takeaway. The service was great, friendly, welcoming, great phone manner. The food was ok but wasn't anything flash at all. When you spend 76 dollars on 2 main dishes, 2 small entrees and crackers you really want to be wowed. Overall the food lacks real flavour which is disappointing when you goto an authentic restaurant. Why aren't entrees made in house, when you pay 11.50 for 4 small pre frozen dim sims you just wonder where the value is in someone creating an experience with food and not making stuff in house, that's when you can charge more as people will appreciate it. Looking forward to see if new operators will improve this experience.

As usual the Har Wee Yee was very popular Saturday night. The service was very fast for our take away. The staff are lovely and the food is always Amazing !! Highly recommend the sweet and sour pork and the satay beef. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ordered salt and pepper squid and orange duck. But there wasn’t enough squid or duck as compared to the price. Orange chicken didn’t taste good. We went to KFC after.

I've only ordered takeaways from the Har Wee Yee and we've always really enjoyed the meals however some of the choices are a bit limited. For example the honey prawns are delicious but come with a huge amount of honey sauce whereas I'd prefer say a third the sauce and a few steamed vegies or at least to have them available as a separate item.

Took probably half an hour to 1 hour for the order and the chicken ribs considered as chef special is nothing compare to other chinese restaurants (Melbourne) that we've been to. Expensive too. Staff as are nice though

Part of the meal was great but part was average. Had lunch special, shrimp omelette , dim sims , pineapple fritter was great but sweet and sour pork was tough.

Food is exceptional and the Banquets are great value but the service can be a little slow at peak times so be prepared for a wait. One of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Hobart and it's easy to see why.
