Had lunch here on Sunday with a group, the food was sensational and for the set price on Sunday I think value for money was fabulous. The staff were attentive even though they were busy and the cherry balsamic vinegar that they bottle and sell in the cellar door is used throughout the meals... it's quite possibly the best balsamic vinegar I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. I purchased 2 bottles to take away it was that great! Thanks to the staff and chefs that made our Sunday fabulous and just topped it off with a 5 star meal and wine experience.

It's an exceptional place to dine. Everything from the moment you step out of the car and look at the amazing view across the vineyard and bay, a happy helpful waiter ready to seat and recommend selections if you wish, the far to enticing wines and the incredibly delicious food, it was a complete "spoil me" occasion. We took a friend in his late 70's for his birthday and he was totally mesmerised by the experience. The little shop behind the eating area even eases the burden for Christmas and Birthday presents. Max's Restaurant is definitely the "whole package" and more.

We celebrated my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday on Sunday for lunch. We started with drinks on the patio looking over the spectacular view. We then moved inside for a very long lunch. The service was great and food delicious. It was perfect for the occasion. We all had such a great day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
