I come here for the vegetarian pho with tofu and an egg and I am not even a vegetarian. The stock is insanely deep and flavoursome, I initially thought it was chicken stock but the staff assured me it isn't
The vegetarian spring rolls are awesome too.
My Rating: 4.5
It’s been a while since I had Vietnamese in Richmond, so I decided to drop by with a group of friends for a meal. I noticed that Pho Hung Vuong 2 had moved to a bigger premise taking two shop fronts. Having asked one of the staff members I was told that they had moved around mid-2018.
I particularly like PHV2 as their pho is always consistent and I was excited to try it again in their bigger establishment.
🔆LOCATION🔆
Pho Hung Vuong 2 is still situated on Victoria Street, but have moved down closer to where Commonwealth Bank branch is, directly opposite to Woolworths supermarket complex.
There interior of the restaurant is brightly it, and very modern looking. On the far left wall there is a long shelf with nice displays of pottery and plants. There’s plenty of seating and great for large/group gatherings.
🔆SERVICE🔆
Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Tea and menu were given to us as soon as we sat down. There were 5 of us and we all ordered a bowl of pho each and some spring rolls to share. Our order was delivered to us within 15 minutes! Fabulous!

🔆VERDICT🔆
There was a very generous amount of sliced beef in my pho which was great! The beef was sliced thinly and slightly raw – perfect! The soup base was light yet packed full of flavour, although I did find it was a bit oily however I think it does add to the flavour hehe!
My friends and I consumed the prawn spring rolls every so quickly. They were fresh and tasty and we could taste the prawn filling too! We had decent amount of lettuce pieces to wrap the spring roll.
My three-colour drink was tasty and had even amount of ingredients to clearly show that its 3 colour – mung beans, red beans and pandan jelly. Yum!
All in all, we had a lovely meal at PHV2 in Richmond.
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine that’s satisfying... we got the large beef pho for $14 which came in a generous serving of meat. The soup was delicious and not too salty. The grilled pork pho was as good. We also got the mixed pork and chicken vermicelli which wasn’t as tasty. The pork spring rolls were small and slightly salty but still good. The iced white coffee was strong and sweet. Overall we would highly recommend the pho!
