Review Cafe Two Ants - Sydney

The friendliest place in the suburb for sure. We had a quiche straight from the oven it was incredible. Also the pies and croissants are epic

Portions were good size. Coffee was just ok. I went to the toilet and almost dehydrated in that hectic heat, it was like a sauna in there!! Not nice and probably not hygienic. I'm giving it a 4 star ignoring the facilities...

An adequate establishment with decent food and hospitable staff but a pricy menu. The food is above average (but no more) in quality but below average in size, but the downside is the prices are far more so, and paying $25 for a small to medium banana smoothie and a single slice of eggs benedict does not put the most enticing glamour on a breakfast there. Fine if you are a local with the fat wallet to match the area and don't want to walk to any of the other local cafes, but not recommended otherwise.

We visited for iced coffees and croissants and were delighted. The manager was friendly and chatty. The food good. Loved it.

The Cashier guy in front counter had an bad attitude toward me as a customer , when I questioned about the price his charging my order , as he did overcharged the order and I would like charges to be corrected , then he mumbling said I'm only a social worker and why am I questioning him and complaining for. That's just not nce behaviour and very Rude to insult other people occupation. When he did the wrong doing by overcharging my card with wrong pricing. Nothing to do with my job

One of the most over priced, mediocre cafes ive ever been in. The staff always seem really stressed and unhappy, they probably dont even get paid properly...

Great Brekky, nice people and atmosphere. Can’t ask for more. Will be back.

Loveliest place on Earth, always make me feel very welcome. Great coffee and food is delicious! Chicken Caesar or Salmon Benedict is the Top. Frank is doing a great job, it you are local or new in the area this will be your new gem to come all the time. I've been coming back anytime Iam around for almost 5 years now. Thank you Zuzana

The best coffee I had in Sydney and a bargain at only $3.50 a pop! I came here quite a few mornings for my cappuccino. I ate the egg, bacon and spinach wrap one day but it didn’t compare to their coffee. Review is based on coffee only!

Frank and the staff are a really lovely stop in Elizabeth Bay. Place has a great range of menu items available, with items being priced well for the region and area. The Savoury Mince is a favourite of mine, along with the juices and the Italian Rissole Sandwich. The shop is always busy, with lots of locals ordering a take away coffee or popping in. Tables out the front are nice, with blankets provided to warm you on a cool day and if the seats are cold. Highly recommend this place, the service and small chat along are fantastic.

Very cosy family-run atmosphere at this cafe. The staff seem to know all the locals coming in and greet them by name. The service is warm and friendly and comes with a big smile. The coffee was nice and strong but on the bitter side. The smashed pumpkin breakfast was hearty, filling, great mix of flavors, chilly and savory. Only downside was that I ordered my poached eggs medium and the came very much hard. Next time I’ll order soft :)

What a wonderful local cafe - fab, friendly staff and the best coffee by far we found in Sydney. And the cakes were great too! Went there three times in our two days staying in the area, and one of the reasons we want to go back and stay at the same place is simply so we can walk around the corner from the studio we stayed in and go to Two Ants! Thanks Frank and your great team.

Awesome super friendly cafe with fantastic food and service. Excellent coffee. You can really tell the guy I assume is the owner cares about his customers and his food and coffee.

Coffee not only tasted top notch but smelt refreshing.

Food was to die for. We had 1. Bacon and Egg roll, and 2. Baked Beans. The Chilli-Jam (with the BAE roll) is a must. The Baked Beans are my all time favourite dish.

The waiter was hot.

Stumbled across this little place today and was starving, may have had something to do with the smell of bacon wafting up the street. After looking at the menu I decided on having the big breakfast and man oh man was it big. The staff were all very friendly always topping up my water and offering me little chit chat when they were free, it was almost like I was a regular customer. Unfortunately when it came time for my coffee I decided against it as the Barista who was clearly sick with the flu was coughing over everything without using his hand which I thought was kinda gross. Next time I'm back in Sydney I will definitely go back and try something different.

Dinky little cafe with great service and good food. Really good coffee, which is saying something - given it's quite hard to find a decent coffee in Sydney!
Wouldn't bother with the usual breakfast options, recommended you go straight for the specials, quite unique. Certainly worth a drop in if you are in the area.

What a cute little cafe. Situated in the back streets of Potts Point it was accidently stumbled by while we went to visit a friend.

Not hungry but desperate for a good coffee we sat down on the wooden tables outside and was greeted by a lovely young female waitress and the owner who introduced himself.

I ordered a long black. Not bitter and made to my specification perfectly I was able to drink it quickly without burning my tongue.

Had a quick look over the menu and they had some nice options. Will definitely come back for breakfast.

Service and coffee outstanding 😊

There is a little cafe near Elizabeth Bay, it’s got a simple fit out, they make coffee and have an all day breakfast. Service is very warm and friendly, I ordered a big breakfast here and this is what it looks like: Generous big breakfast $15.50 It’s massive. It consists of two poached eggs, side of bacon, beef sausages, avocado, tomato, rocket, two thick slices of buttered sourdough and a pat of ricotta. Beforehand, I was starving but by the end, I left a slice of sourdough because I was so full and the people at Two Ants are so kind and generous. This was fun, see you at next month’s mini-post! Great coffee. Great atmosphere and excellent coffee!

Something I can see that was once a Reuben but is now sandwich-pressed to virtual oblivion. I can only assume there's bread in there somewhere, there's one very thin slice of corned beef, the cheese tries its hardest to add caramelisation to this thing and the sauerkraut has taken over all of the flavours.

It was quite busy when we walked in, all the tables were full but luckily some people were leaving as we walked in! We ordered some coffees, which were nothing fantastic, but I'm not a huge coffee gal, so can't really judge. The menu consists of all-day b

Friendly local cafe. Great family run local cafe with a real sense of local community, but also welcoming to visitors. Despite the Elizabeth Bay/Potts Point neighbourhood there is nothing pretentious going on from staff or customers. Very good coffee and some excellent breakfast and lunch options that are not trying to be too tricky - just good fresh food that will bring you back time and time again.

Good Vibe. Good local vibe, service and excellent coffee. Prices are reasonable and the ricotta pancakes were melt-in-the-mouth delicious!!

Excellent cafe all around! The service is fantastic, friendly staff who recognize regulars and welcome newcomers. The food is great, I've never been disappointed, and it's fairly priced. The menu is also quite extensive and the coffee is fantastic! Always a good place to go to know I'll get a great meal and good coffee every time!

A Big Breakfast Extravaganza. I picked out this cafe because it was near where we are staying in Potts Point and it has all day breakfast. A couple of old reviews on Yelp suggested promise.
It is a very small establishment with a lot of heart. Smiling, happy staff are eager to help and their service is exemplary. When the weather is as good as it is right now the footpath tables are a good place to eat, and even more so because they have no smoking signs on them. So refreshing for us mexicans, whose politicians couldn't make a decision to save themselves, and so we have to secede the most often best seats in the house to polluting smokers. I digress.
Two Ants not only do all day breakfast, they have a Big Breakfast par excellence. Supremely well poached eggs, sourdough toasted to perfection, very well cooked bacon, two yummy fried half tomatoes, three tasty breakfast sausages - yes three, half a (perfect) avocado, a bunch of fresh rocket leaves in a vinaigrette, and a big spoonful of ricotta cheese. Yes, maybe too much for some, but I love a big breakfast especially a late one that takes care of lunch as well. For $14.50!!! Unbelievable value.
The coffee was very, very good, both the regular and the soy variety (a surprise because I ordered a large size and got a large soy - my mistake I wasn't clear).
The service, however, is the reason for this review - all the staff at this cafe know why they are there and are happy to serve you well. Very, very happy and we will be back tomorrow. Five stars.

Unexpected find. Didn't expect much from this cosy hole-in-the-wall but I'm a total convert thanks largely to the wonderful, warm service. Unsurprisingly, there was a steady stream of locals grabbing coffee and stopping by for a chat. Our coffees were excellent while the rhubarb-berry muffin was deliciously moist. Not only did the staff graciously warm up the muffin on request, they even added a complimentary side of Nutella upon overhearing our love for chocolate. Sure made the blustery winter day a lot more bearable! A lot of cafes serve good food but not many dish it up with genuine hospitality like Cafe Two Ants.

Best kept secret! Awesome coffee and a killer home made style breakie!! Thanks guys! We be back...

Always great coffee and the bacon & egg rolls are SO good!

The best bacon & egg roll (chili jam is to die for!!) great coffee, reasonably priced, friendly and attentive staff.

Magneficent poached eggs and great coffee! It's actually $ rate, nothing over 15 bucks in the menu and they have a nice variety. All day brekki is always a plus in this kind of cafes. I'll definitely come back to try some more treats from the menu. David Pez
