Review The Sporting Globe X 4 Pines - Sydney

The venue itself is a really nice venue. If you're coming for a few drinks with the boys or gals this place is good for it. The staff were all nice and welcoming. When it came to food it was all nice except for my steak. I ordered the black Angus rump medium and it came out well-done. I told one of the staff and he got the chef to cook me another steak this time really medium. But it came out even more charred and well-done than the previous steak. Told the staff member and he refunded me which was nice. So my conclusion is it's a nice place for drinks but dont get the steaks, the chef doesn't know how to cook steaks.

Service was great, we were seated quickly with our reservation and enjoyed the convenience of being able to order electronically from our table at anytime that suited us. Food and drink delivery was surprisingly prompt especially considering it was a busy Saturday night. Food was delicious and I look forward to visiting again soon. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is also great due to seating and not feeling claustrophobic amongst others

Well I'm a little disappointed with this iconic place. Bought tickets online then waited an hour in line to get tickets. In all honesty they were very understaffed. I did however like that the staff were very helpful and polite. I do like that you can just go in for a walk around, but if you wanted to get food or drinks you need to get food voucher. It can become very pricey. But I think Luna Park is one of those places you go every 5 years or so.

Food wait was way too long even I saw people who are way earlier than us get their food at the same time as ours which also taken them another 30 mins for us. It would have been at least a decent experience if the food was good. We order only this yummy looking nachos but don't be fooled, it's way too salty to eat without sipping water every two bites. Our tables were never cleaned although we have requested the staff to help us clean. Funny enough, they cleaned the table next to us instead. Staff were never check on us or no host was present when we walked in the bar. Really understand the understaffed situation, but at least it would be nice to have someone update us once about our order. I really don't know what to make with this experience, we came expecting great service and food but left utterly disappointed.

Went on a Wednesday when they had $8.90 pints, $5 spirits and schnitzel specials. We had VIP Parma and some wings as well as a few different Keller door pints. Everything was great.

$4.20 for a small glass of soda water out of the gun. $49 for good ribs and tough chewy chicken wing. Great location lots of big screens to watch sport.

If you can get past the rowdy sports bar atmosphere from patrons - the food, staff and overall quality of this establishment is amazing. We ordered a heap of different things to try and everything came out quick, hot and delicious. Staff were very nice and helped us when ever we needed anything especially the older gentlemen who seated us and served us. The security at the door was an absolute jerk to us and customers in line but i didn’t let that reflect poorly on the actual restaurant as our experience was amazing once we were in.

Pretty dissapointing. Came for a drink on the Australia Day public holiday, so orders attract an additional 15%. You don't need to be proud that you're paying your staff correctly. You're expected to pay your staff correctly.

Seafood platter was definitely worth every cent, but the boys weren't overly fussed with the beer options, but we would certainly go back again

Im so happy I can have piece of my country through the beer. Wood duck ale is what I need to drink. I know Pilsner Urquell or Cernovar is good but the beer from czech hops and brew in Darling Harbour. Its Heaven for me. Thank you sooo much for that-:))( Your place makes me feel better , home sick is always gone after wood duck ale-:)))

Great day out took my mum out for her birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our day. Floor staff were great even added an extra table for us as our group ended up with a few extra people, bar staff were a little flat but were friendly enough. Food was great all meals came out promptly. Beers were top quality tried the whole range but loved the american wheat beer. Keep up the good work guys will definitely be coming back

Amazing place. We had our wedding reception here. Aoife and Rachel were absolutely fantastic and set up the function room beyond what I was expecting. I can't recommend this place enough! Great job ladies x

I have never received such appalling and disgusting service in a Sydney bar as I did last night at King St Brewhouse. Your employees know absolutely NOTHING about customer service and their nonchalant attitude is just not necessary. The guy who served me, asked my friends and I if we were on the same table, then immediately disappeared after giving me the change for only my meal and forgetting to give me the drink I ordered was useless. He completely ignored the people I was standing with, forgot my drink AND took down the wrong order (I got a Schniztel instead of a Parma). The icing on the cake was the hose on one of the beer taps being broken, beer flying all over the people waiting to be served AND THEN not only did the staff not apologize (I understand it wasn't intentional but politeness never hurt anyone), but the staff laughed it off between themselves and returned to their snail pace service. I would not recommend anyone going here, even if it was the last licensed venue open in Sydney!

The best place on Darling Harbour/King Street Wharf !!! Wonderful food big servings and great beer all at a very reasonable price.

Meals are a good size and very reasonably priced. Great selection of beers on tap. Staff were friendly and happy to assist. The view - priceless!
Jade Carroll
The food is something else!! The portions sizes are value for money and for the location it is very reasonable. Unlike some places in the city king street brewhouse is relaxed and confortable with very friendly service. We take our toddler there knowing there is no judgement. Love it there

Food was quite disappointing. Chicken wings were very small, meals are not cheap but not worth it comparing to those restaurants at Barangaroo in 5 mins.

I went in recently and tried the Experimental Series Friar's Saison. Who knew that you could find such a great beer being brewed and poured at Darling Harbour's doorstep. Rich yeasty flavours and hops combine and the result reminds me of the Chimay. At 7.6%, if I remember correctly, it is also strong enough to test your limits. I'm glad to have caught this single batch release not long before leaving Sydney, but for the sake of everyone involved I also wish that it becomes a permanent fixture alongside the other great Brewhouse taps! Would be tragic if the Saison stops flowing. Goes without saying that the service and ambience was great. But really it's all about the beer.

I always love this place. .good food, great atmosphere and excellent service.
Dana Kuszmaul
Good beer and great location. Food was very good and the staff was friendly.
Gavin Travis Paloma
Good food and wide array of drinks to choose from. I would like to commend the staff for their great service!

The Service is alot left to be desired for we arrived around 3pm sat at a unreserved table then at 4.30 the staff came to the table decided to place a Reserve on the table. This is disgusting as we were already paying customers we are now going to our money elsewhere and will not be back to your establishment

Food quality good, portions small, a bit snappish

Located at King Street Wharf near the new Barangaroo precinct, this venue has a great location by the water. I attended a function here which offered a great selection of finger foods such as fish tacos, beetroot tarts, chicken skewers, Mac and cheese balls, risotto balls, beef sliders, calamari, cheese board platter and chocolate and pumpkin tarts. Service was great and ordering drinks at bar was quick.

I dined here during the week for a work team dinner. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share:<br/>- Sharing board - a great starter, my favourite bit was the smoked duck pate<br/>- Sweet potato fries with feta and oregano - can't go wrong, always a people pleaser. Plenty of feta as well!<br/>- Smoky bbq chicken wings - Very saucy and finger licking good. <br/>- Bug tail mac and cheese - I quite liked this dish. There were mixed reviews around the table though if it was compared to the standard mac and cheese side dish which we also ordered. I thought the bug was cooked really well and thought the seafood taste through the dish made it a bit more fancy than just run of the mill mac and cheese<br/>- Blackened barramundi with sweet potato - so tender and sweet potato is always a winner in my books<br/>- Beef brisket - smoked to perfection. <br/><br/>The thing that let down the experience for me was actually where we were seated and the service. We had booked for 12 people so unfortunately because of the time of year, we were put right near the back door inside. It was quite noisy with staff people traffic. There was also a mix up with orders and food took a bit longer to come out than anticipated. <br/><br/>Overall, I thought the food here was great and would dine here again in a smaller group and request a table either outside or close to the windows.

I attended a function here. Located on King Street Wharf it has a nice outlook onto the water. <br/><br/>The catering was all tasty finger food. It included bite sized beetroot tarts, lamb spring rolls, mac and cheese balls, sliders, chicken skewers, and risotto patties. we finished with some chocolate and caramel tarts. The service was friendly and efficient. It was an open tended bar. Orders taken quickly and drinks served fast.

4.5/5 Husband and I recently attended a special event at The All Hands Brewing House. It was called the Boilmaker Dinner on the 18th September 2019 which had a 4 course meal which was paired with beers and whiskey. Sounds good? Let me tell you more. All Hands Brewing House (AHBH) is located on King St Wharf and is a microbrewery which boasts of delicious beer. I understand the Boilermaker Dinner was an annual dinner that AHBH hosts. We are treated to a cocktail before the dinner commences.

e chose this place for an after hours team dinner. We chose this due to the central location at the picturesque Darling Harbour. It is within a comfortable stroll to the Town Hall rail station. The experience was enhanced though by the comfortable and friendly atmosphere complemented by the efficient and pleasant staff who clearly care about giving great customer service. The in house brews offered a good variety and the quality was found to be truly excellent. The food on the menu easily paired with the brews and is best described as high quality comfort food.<br/>
The Next Rush
There are five permanent taps with another four that alternate depending on the demand. Despite production having to rely on demand, it provides a creative space for Head Brewer, Sam Clayman and his team to refine and retweak seasonal releases. This is a win for beer lovers enabling Sam to experiment with different yeast strains and play around with fermentation temperatures.  <br/><br/> <br/>The microbrewery acts as a backdrop to the bar entry housing five vessels which can produce over 5600 schooners. Exposed piping and mesh gating accentuate the timber setting giving an urban edge to a casual night out.  <br/><br/>For the laymen out there like myself, the IBU measure indicates the hop content in the brew - impacting flavoring and stability of the beer. <br/><br/>We lined up 7 from their taps. It was like a rainbow of beer showcasing some very distinct styles of lager and ale:

All Hands Brewing is a microbrewery with a southern style comfort menu, located on King Street Wharf . All craft beers on offer here are hand crafted and brewed in their state of the art microbrewery on site! How good is that! Plenty of options when it comes to the brews, perfect for all tastes and all thirst requirements. My pick of the beers here is the Fruit Bat Sumner Ale! So so refreshing!

This is a short review because I didn't try the food but doesn't matter because it is a brewery and I just want to say the beer here is great, they have a large variety of craft beers. I didn't try all of them but the IPA is outstanding. Also the space is awesome. Go to this place and grab a beer, that's all.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Still shy of its second birthday, All Hands Brewing House is one of the more recent newcomers to the King Street Wharf precinct. It is owned by Red Rock Venues, who kicked off their empire of function spaces, restaurants and pubs in Melbourne. The micro-brewery is one of two forays the group have made into Sydney (they also own P. J. O’Brien’s), and part of an expansion that now sees them operating in four states. The All Hands Brewing House occupies a prime waterfront position on the edge of Darling Harbour. Fronted by an expansive, dog-friendly, beer garden, it extends deep into the bowels of King Street Wharf. Tucked behind the shiny silver fermenters of the working micro-brewery, you’ll find some more intimate spaces to host your party, no matter how many mates or colleagues you choose to descend with. We pull up in the Port Quarter of the busy beer garden for a casual midweek dinner for two. While the...

All Hands is a brew-pub situated in Darling Harbour’s King Street Wharf. Prime real estate for a brewery! Yes – these guys brew onsite!. The All Hands crew have several flagship beers on tap, and rotate in a few single release brews on a near-weekly basis. There’s also full commercial kitchen that pumps out a solid lunch and dinner menu.

[invite] Bianca: Like a lot of Sydneysiders, once I see the twinkly harbour lights of Darling Harbour and King Street Wharf, my restaurant radar reverts to zero. I’ve always had that notion that the area is a bit of a tourist trap. I’ve been pleasantly surprised over the years to come across some gems in the area. So I was keen to check out the recently opened All Hands Brewing House.

A truth universally applicable in the restaurant world is that anything by the water is more about the water than the actual food / drinks. Came here on a Thursday after work and really enjoyed the view of the harbour from its nicely lit outdoor benches. There was a decent crowd of suited men and boujee young people to keep the upscale casual vibes alive but not too loud. <br/><br/>I liked the idea of it being a microbrewery but alas I did not particularly enjoy the Wood Duck Cream Ale that was highlighted as their signature. I thought the cream had masked the other aromas that could have given the beer a little more character.<br/><br/>As expected, food was priced at a premium for its proximity to the water. We had the garlic bread and fries just to accompany our drinks and it was average at best.
The RnB Diary
Not so long ago, Australians in search of a schooner of the world’s favourite hop-based beverage were limited to a choice between the competingly bland outputs of two enormous brewing companies. If you weren’t keen on the likes of Carlton, Tooheys New or VB then you were likely to be disappointed. These days, however, Sydney alone has dozens of independent breweries with more opening seemingly every month. This new wave of craft breweries has tended to be concentrated around the city’s inner west, with Marrickville in particular a hotspot.

Open since December last year, not sure how we’ve missed this spot at destinationsville – Darling Harbour. There’s a nice Inner West kind of vibe to this place which is uncharacteristic of the standard King Street Wharf venues. A growing mainstream awareness of craft beers, they offer a unique and rare experience joining local mircrobreweries, Endeavor Tap Rooms at The Rocks and Circular Quay’s Squire Landing.

This Brew House has location on its side as well as very good service. What is missing is a memorable craft beer experience.<br/><br/>We tried all 9 beers brewed on site and found that while all are drinkable not one stands out as being remarkable. Perhaps this is the point of being a brewer located in a tourist hot zone. The beers despite their names and interesting hop varieties are just middle of the road at best.<br/><br/>We enjoyed a smokehouse platter which was tasty but the meat was far from tender.<br/><br/>So the real test is whether we would come back? Sadly no. The beer and food were not more than just basic. A better craft beer can be enjoyed at any number of craft brewers in Sydney and better meals are available just up the road.

Below average meal, great selection of beers, nice waitstaff. <br/><br/>Came here for a small work farewell last month, really average food for high harbour price. <br/>Mac & cheese side was tasteless and floury, beef brisket looked like a dry piece of toast with no sauce and a weird polenta cake, steak was average and chewy, burgers were also ok.  <br/><br/>I think these are in line with a few reviews on google. They probably need to step up the game food-wise as no-one was really happy with their food.<br/><br/>Everyone loved their beers though, and staff were nice and attentive.

We often come here with my colleagues, even before it changed names. It's fantastic for big groups due to the long tables and it's even better on a warm, sunny day as it has a spacious outdoor setting. The food is not bad at all especially for pub food. Your usual suspects are on the menu. Beer here is great and there is a good selection of it. Food comes out fairly quickly for a big group so it's perfect for a weekday lunch.

I did my farewell drinks at this place and it was great. First thing I liked about this place was they accepted my booking for 20 over the weekend which was mind blowing. The service and the ambience was great. My friends had a great time. Thanks! They have a great variety of beers which is commendable. In all a great place to be in.<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>Value for Money - 4/5
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
All Hands Brewing House is an inviting craft beer brewery located on the water’s edge at King St Wharf. It is a multi-functional indoor/outdoor space catering to casual diners as well as events, and is dressed in warm woody tones, raw brick and soft lighting. The venue also features an exposed brewery which allows guests a sneak peek into the inner workings of the beer-making process.

I often came to the predecessors in this spot as they were the most pub-like place along King St Wharf and were particularly good on sunny winter afternoons as the sun streamed in from the west. All Hands is even better as a pub because it does its own range of beers that are very tasty and it gets a good crowd in the evenings. Might be better if they got rid of the strange waiter system (never sure whether I should be ordering from them or at the bar) and concentrated on being a pub.<br/><br/>As for food, they’ve jumped on the BBQ/American craze but they’re not doing it very well. My “creole chicken” had one really tender piece - really tasting like it was slow-smoked - but the other piece was a little tough and dry. Neither had any spice cooked into them, rather they were slathered with a pretty ordinary Texas BBQ sauce (I really don’t know where the “creole” designation came from). With some very tasty corn and some salad it was still a decent meal, even if it cost $24, but it was no more than standard pub quality.

Tried this place since it re-opened but never again! The food was very disappointing for a brewery. Paid $2.50 to add bacon to potato skins and we get a few tiny cubes of bacon on top of potato skins in a mug. $24 for a sharing platter which was half the size of the usual platters we get. It came with a bowl of lard like cold liquid with some prawns and the tiniest piece of cheddar cheese. Not even a proper wedge. The beers weren’t that much better either. Will be going back to our usual place Beer Deluxe where there’s happy hour, friendly staff and large portions of food!!

Love the range of Local beers and Craft beers on offer. Came for a lunch and found plenty of cheap choices , service was good and food was very quick even though the place was packed!!
Food
Mediocre place - was charged ~$30 for one of the burger/fries combo which certainly wasn't worth it. Chips were too plain and quite oily. The chicken burger was okay - had some nice sauce inside.<br/><br/>Fish and chips... Well for $30, you might as well hit a Fish and Chips joint and only pay 1/3 of the price, as it basically tastes the same... Except this place doesn't even have chicken salt.
