Review Misfits At The Redfern - Sydney

A nice venue with good grub at a decent price point. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. The chicken burger and chips was nice and the wings were alright. I'd go back here again and would be happy to recommend this place for others to try.

I hosted a birthday lunch @misfits. The level of customer service we received was exceptional. Several of the party were running late due to the weather. The team were very accommodating and this was just the start. The food was awesome and the bottom glass is truly bottomless. I cannot recommend the long lunch enough. We will definitely be back!

I only wished I knew about this place earlier so I could have come back for more. An amazing place for drinks or a meal, whether you’re on a date night or a meal between friends. Love the decor, vibe and atmosphere here. So much effort and detail has been put in from the artwork on the walls, the lighting & furniture. The food here is excellent and reasonably priced. Came here on Taco Wednesday’s and they were excellent starters. The dish of the night however was the lamb shoulder. Excellent sauce. In my opinion the best restaurant in Redfern. Keep it up!

We went here for a bottomless brunch. The hours were really great and the food was ok. Burnt chicken was :( but had great pork buns and pasta. Drinks were good too but would love some variety (only 2 drinks). Price point wasn't too bad. They seemed understaffed when we came in so it was hard to get the refills but it eventually picked up with more staff coming in. I wouldn't mind going back.

This hidden jewel of the beaten path in Redfern has definitely risen as a neighborhood favourite. Excellent service, solid menu, great drink menu, nice ambience and decor. Nice take on burrata, grilled asparagus was delicious, and the Creole squid was equally as good. Stop by if you can, well recommended.

Nice place to just chill and chat. Avoid the cocktails…. And stick to beers.

We’ve heard lots of good things about this place and finally had to try it out. The atmosphere and interior design of the venue is so unexpected, especially being in Redfern! But what blew us away was the amazing food with so many tasty GF and V options!! The adobo chicken burger may look like your average chicken burger but the taste was insane along with the ricotta zucchini swirl things! Great presentation and taste of food, interesting and not overly sugary cocktails (hard to find in Sydney) & super lovely staff. Can only highly recommend.

Holy moly guys!! Why haven’t I seen this bar before!!! I’m so glad I got a chance to visit and tasted the wonderful cocktails and food! I would have to say it’s the best cocktail yet!!! Highly recommended if you are near the city!

Our server was amazing. The vibe here is so fun and the food is great too! Would return here again and again.

I dined here on a Friday night with a friend. We were there during happy hour so decided to take up the $1 oysters offer. The oysters were served natural with lemon. For the food, we had the following dishes
- crispy squid with jerk spice - squid was cooked well with a light crispy coating.
- roasted cauliflower with a nutty puree - the cauliflower was roasted perfectly and worked so well with the nut puree.
- ceviche with black garlic - the fish was fresh, cut into pieces that were small enough to eat on a cracker but big enough not to lose the integrity of the fish. The black garlic puree was a nice flavour pair for the dish as well.

Misfits also do happy hour cocktails but unfortunately there is a limited menu and they are bought in pairs of the same spirit type. It would out okay for us because we both liked gin but could be tricky for friends who don't share the same alcohol preference.

Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Misfits. I think it has a cool vibe with good tunes so would return for another drink after work.

This hidden gem in Redfern is great to hang out and have a few drinks with some friends. I came with a few friends on Saturday night and Jake the bartender helped us choose some cocktails and they tasted close to perfect. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the croquettes. There is a flavour for all tastebuds. Would definitely return back.

You can always count of Redfern for alternative, cool and hidden places that are tucked away. There is almost a hidden door off the Main Street to this bar/restaurant. Not an extensive menu, but enough for a meal. I had the pasta of the day which came with a glass of house wine for $20. There is live music and a retro feel about this place which I like.

Came here for a friendsbirthday celebrations where we got seated in the section to the left of the bar. Great for groups who want to also break out into the smoking section. Food was good especially the shoestring fries, actually tasted like fries from maccas haha.

Seems to be a few new places in Redfern, and I wanted to go somewhere I haven’t been before: Misfits sounded like a good option. The name reminds me of an old-fashioned gay bar, somewhat awkward and trying too hard. So, the experience surprised me, climbing up the stairs at the side of the building, the large, stylish bar, with a restaurant area off in the back, almost no one there on a Sunday.

The drinks and atmosphere were great! They had a live band which was nice with dinner. The food wasn’t great. I got the chicken burger and when eating was just getting chunks of fat. Not very nice. Also had the pannacotta for dessert. It wasn’t pannacotta at all but more like a moose. Was nice but not what was on the menu

I've come for drinks before and enjoyed the multiple areas (including one through a secret door) and it's one of those hipster places that is friendly and welcoming (I don't think they have any bouncers), although service can be slow due to the emphasis on cocktails. This time we ate in the small restaurant area and the food was great. It's a short menu of fancy-sounding dishes and we got a few meats (duck, pork, lamb) and shared them. Really good meats and they actually pack a lot of vegetable accompaniments onto the plate. Lots of interesting work with onions - even the bread had a great onion butter. Roughly $30 for a main seems cheap with this unexpected quality.

I didn't have any alcoholic drinks so I'm not sure about those. Food-wise, a bit too many ingredients all together I thought, but I loved the lamb, which was perfectly cooked - delicious. Ambiance was a bit too pretentious for me.., but maybe because, by the name Misfits, I was expecting something rougher, almost punk, which is definitely not. Service was impeccable.
