One my favourite things on the menu here that I always come back for is the fish roti! Refreshing, crunchy and a good portion size. Highly recommend. Was a great at $7.50, but increase in price to $9.50ā€¦..šŸ˜’

Am so glad to have found this place who knew my search for a chowder would lead me to such a fabulous restaurant serving super delicious and fresh seafood. The chowder was the best I have had in Sydney in the last 4 yrs..finally my quench for sea food chowder was fulfilled...Victor is a great host and recommended to try the special of the day Seafood biryani which was too good to be true...never expected it to perfectly balanced with flavours of Indian spices without having any smell of seafood...highly recommend and will be a regular to this place even I have to travel so far from my place...i wish this was licensed to have something to drink with such delicious seafood...Good luck and Keep cooking amazing sea fooooood....

While definitely pricier than other fish and chip shops ($22 for salmon and chips) the quality is very high and the pesto sauce is delicious! Sometimes portion sizes can vary too which is frustrating but honestly still worth 5 stars.

Disappointed. I ordered salt & pepper squid today and it was dry, like food from a week ago, terrible taste, I couldnā€™t have it. Based on the reviews it shouldnā€™t be the norm, but this was my first experience. To be fair the roti fish was ok and everything else was correct

Had high hopes given the very high star rating. Three of us ate & three of us felt a little sick afterwards. Honest thoughts, frozen fish cooked in old oil! Services was friendly & pricing reasonable.

On the hunt for the best seafood chowder we were not disappointed! Lots of prawns & salmon and perfect creaminess & smoothness. We also had the salt & pepper squid and battered fish - also perfect. Worth the Uber trip there & back just for the food! Great value - simple space indoors, clean and friendly staff

Ordered the red curry barramundi which was amazing! The flavours were really vibrant and a must try. The July special was also good but I much preffered the red curry.

Have been meaning ever since I started working in Waterloo to try this fish and chip shop. A few people at work have raved about how good the food is, so I finally decided now was a good a time as ever. They've an impressively large menu for a Fish & Chip shop including some Thai-style seafood meals. <br/><br/>Was thinking go a simple grilled fish and chips, as that's usually a good measure of quality. The salt and pepper barramundi caught my eye however and it was very enjoyable. A piece of barra has been chopped into 6 cocktail sized pieces and battered in a light and crispy batter. Flavorful, the salt and pepper is evident and was really nice. <br/><br/>The chips are awesome. You don't get hand-cut chips with the skins on in many places these days. Some argue that these could have been cooked a little longer, but the joys of skin on home made chips is they're chunky, and not meant to be overly crunchy like fries. Soft but firm,they worked perfectly with the barra. The dipping sauce was nice but needed in my opinion. <br/><br/>They're a bit pricy for the serving size, but worth it in my opinion. Love a good fish and chip shop and will definitely be back for more seafood dinners at work

They have a somewhat fancy menu including Asian seafood and non-seafood dishes but I went for a fish burger. Great fish (even though it was just hoki) with a tasty crispy batter. The chips were big hand-cut ones and had not been cooked enough so the interiors were pretty firm. With the disappointing chips and a pretty small burger, the $16 price was way too high.

Iā€™ve come here a few times when Iā€™ve wanted some quick seafood on the go that is quite tasty. <br/><br/>I usually go for the salmon meals, the salmon is always so juicy and it always comes as a generous portion with a food helping of sides to make a decent meal. The only item I had a problem with is their fried oysters.. once fried they become way too small to enjoy and not worth the money.

I can't believe I had walked by this place so many times and never knew the delicious food was right in front of my face. So glad my parents decided to give it a go. Recommend everyone to go try it cause its not just your average fish and chip shop.<br/><br/>Reccommend: Grilled barramundi and Octopus!!<br/>

Well let me tell you after a gruelling 40 minute drive from Eastwood, we needed oil and salt. <br/><br/>Solution: this place! Near our house but that's beside the point. Delicious! We got a couple beers from bottle-o next door (no corkage thanks!) and had the barramundi with tempura veges ($18 a bargain) and the $15 box special, also fantastic. Shared everything. <br/>Happy. You should come here.

One of my fav weeknight "CBF cooking" go-to's!<br/><br/>I always get the market fish (Barra or Salmon) with the garden salad and it is always amazing! Perfectly cooked inside and out, and so well seasoned you don't need the tartare (so yay if you care about your macros)! The salad is a decent size and super fresh - I've never once had a soggy salad issue from these guys. <br/><br/>Prices are very good for the quality of food you're getting, and still not expensive. Service is always warm and friendly too, and I would highly recommend this place!

Great presentation. I ordered a BBQ octopus with Asian Slaw and no chips. My partner order a battered Meal for 1 and his friend, a grilled Meal for 1.<br/>BBQ octopus was striking in flavour. I believe they had it caramelised with a sweet and slightly salty sauce of some sort. Texture-wise, I felt it was cooked on high heat as it was blackened and a little crisp on the outside but it was soft in the core in other words I would have preferred it to be cooked on medium-high to even out the texture.<br/>The Asian Slaw that accompanied the BBQ octopus was fresh. I love salads that bursting in such crispness. I'm not a fan of dressing and asked without dressing but it seemed to have been soaked in dressing, then again, I'm guessing it's an oriental representation of coleslaw so dressing is inevitable.<br/>I had coconut water also. Tasted unpleasant compared to having it straight from the tree nevertheless it is what it is.<br/><br/>The battered Meal for 1 couldn't have looked more battered. It came with hand cut chips (great authentic potato texture with skin on and salted evenly), even the prawns were deep fried with its shell! Partner enjoyed the meal so that's a thumbs up there.<br/><br/>The grilled Meal for 1 was beautifully presented and drizzled with sweet and sour sauce. My partner's friend enoyed the dish and cle@aned his plate. Must have been good. I has a bite of his grilled calamari ring, it wasn't bad though I would suggest reviewees to try it out themselves. This one I have to write a review for. I am so impressed with their hand made chips, especially dipping with the wasabi mayo sauce and of course a bottle of the less sugar tasted coke. The seafood is a thumb up to me too sinceĀ the materialĀ are so fresh andĀ are cooked and presentedĀ in such a vibrant way without any boring feelingĀ like the traditional fishing and chips food. The chef Victor and other staff thereĀ are also friendly and thoughtful who like to chat with you and genuinely take any feedback from you. Amazing gourmet food, lovely people and fair price. What else are you expecting?

Best gourmet fish and chips that i've ever had! Had visited this place a lot of times and my favourite amongst all is the soft shell crab burger. Best burger ever! I never really liked calamari rings, however, this place changed me, love the calamari rings here. Next time i'm planning to try the miso fish. The owner is very nice fellow as well, always nice and interesting to chat with. Highly recommend to try this place.

I liked the food here, the chips are good as are the potato scallops. Barramundi was delicious as were the tempura veggies however we had the soft shell crab burger and while it had good flavour i don't think it was trimmed as parts of it were very slimy and spurted green stuff which was not appealing.

The BEST fish and chips. Notice the capitals on 'best'? That's because it is absolutely amazing. No where does such good valued fish, salad and chips. I remember the first time I ordered a salmon with pesto... My god... My god was it nice. And the second best part is the price, as they say "cheap as chips"<br/><br/>You really shouldn't consider another place for good quality fish, I say this even though I live only 9 floors above them. But trust me when I say, there are not plenty of fish and chip shops in the sea once you've tried wild catch. As they say, hook line and sinker

Re branding from the previous fish and chips shop at waterloo shop, now Victor Chung EX- head chef from 'Longrain' took over. BOOM!!! His love of food and people reflect in the shop! Now become more vibrant and fresh and seasonal seafood 'fish' on the board! Hand cut chips! Crunchy! Not the best but! Way Better than frozen chips on the market.
